Day 111/365 (November 5, 2014)

The day started off fine and then i found out my nana had died. Needless to say my day was not good. I forced myself to go to work and get things done so I could head to MA with a clear head. Karen decided to come with me so we left later that night... this is Sophie, always nice to see my mom's cat.

Day 67/365 (September 22, 2014)

Bad day, bad day, bad day!

Today was not good. Everything seemed to be doing its best to make my day miserable both at work and in personal life. There was drama concerning keys for the new lock to our building, internet not working at my office, and missing subway stops, etc... I don't want to focus on too much negative but I am glad this day is behind me! Pictured above would be the glass of beer caps I knocked over from a coworkers desk... because you know it makes sense to keep all the caps from the beer you drink while at the office, right? (I should note it happens after hours, but still.)

Day 43/365 (August 29. 2014)

I went to bed last night with "My Teddy" bear since I was feeling so low, and this is how I woke up. Today was another bad day as far as work was concerned. I just couldn't wait to leave. I finally did and got home and continued my baking spree. This time I made "hot chocolate" cupcakes for someone's birthday. I never used this recipe as cupcakes before so I wasn't expecting to make 36 of them! They turned out pretty awesome. I filled them with a ganache/marshmallow filling and made a frosting that had both hot chocolate mix and melted chocolate in it, then topped it off with some shaved chocolate and a marshmallow! I also made snickerdoodles for an event.

I had been looking forward to spending the evening with Marty before he left for tour again, but sadly when I checked in with him he said he had to come tomorrow instead because something else popped up. :(

Day 42/365 (August 28. 2014)

Time Warner caused so much grief for me today and it made the work day really bad. The internet was down all over but that was the final straw that broke our router's back and it just stopped working. I was on the hone for hours with TWC and finally was able to go exchange the router for one that actually worked. Once i brought it back our IT guy installed it, he sent an email out to all saying we were back up and thanked me... well my boss responded back with a thank you to him and capitalized his name, basically saying that he did all the work and I had nothing to do with it, and even my other coworkers noticed it. I can normally let things like this roll off me but something about this just really unrattled me and it hurt my feelings pretty bad. It still stings thinking about it. I ended up going on a crazy baking spree to make myself feel better which was good and bad. So tasty but i ate way too many of the confetti sugar cookies and mimosa truffles I made. Here is Fred doing his best at looking dejected.

Day 35/365 (August 21, 2014)

The day started out really terrible. I didn't get that much sleep because there were two hungry kitties wanting food but since Charlie couldn't eat because of his dental surgery poor Fred had to suffer too. (they ended up extracting 12 teeth!) Then on my way to the office, even though I was far from the curb, a cab shot up yucky sidewalk water and hit me, then I stumbled across a poor dead bird underside up with his feet sticking out that sickened me terribly. All of this is making my tolerance for things extremely small and I keep trying to turn things around but its difficult.

I headed home after work a took a little me time to get into a better mood which worked thankfully, then I got ready for Shoshana and Michael's birthday part with the help of Sasha who did my hair and makeup. I borrowed one of her dresses and actually wore my silver wedges. I always think I look so funny with makeup on. When I was walking there a police officer on a horse saw me and shouted "hey princess" which of course made my night!

The party was lovely as expected and I had a great time. They had a photo booth set up which is always fun and besides seeing some of my friends I also made some new friends that night which is always nice.I will say one of my favorite moments was quite late into the evening when I ran into Natalie Weiss. I am always surprised when she remembers me (which is silly because she always does) but it has been such a long time but when she saw me she told me how great I looked and noticed my significant weight loss from the last time we saw each other. Its little things like that when people notice that really help me feel so much better and gives me the push I need when I start to have a few bad days, especially coming from her. The day started terrible but I am so happy it ended on such a great note. It wasn't even bad walking home in the rain!
