Day 138/365 (December 2, 2014)

Spent the morning at work and then I met up with Ally to go to Dylan's Candy Bar to buy a postcard for someone's gingerbread man project. I got a card and wrote it to the little kindergarten boy saying i saw the gingerbread man and he was looking to buy new candy to wear. We found a fun photobooth there with a greenscreen! After we came home to start working on my tests for nerd cupcakes and nerd cake balls. I made the cupcakes and the cake for the balls. Ally was making a card for her BroadwaySpotted Secret Santa person while I baked. After i changed and got dressed for dinner with Sophon... all was going well UNTIL the ceiling started to leak again! This time it wasn't a small leak, it was drip drip WHOOSH! Thankfully Karen and I were both home (since we weren't supposed to be at that time) and we went into panic mode as we got the couch out of the way and got towels and a container to catch the water an call our landlord. While dealing with the leak we discovered the ceiling fan was collecting water in the light fixture so i got the ladder out and tried to get the thing off so the weight wouldn't pull it down, but I ended up getting the water all over me, yuck! No time to shower before Sophon. We got it under control until someone could show up. Sophon came just after the water stopped and we eventually headed out to get dinner at The Meatball Shop. It was so yummy and we got so lucky... we were seated right away even though there were a bunch of people waiting... yay for being a party of two!

Then we went to Billy's bakery to get dessert... such scrumptious food inducing an ice box cake slice and caramel cheesecake. We left the ladder out just in case and Charlie the fool kept climbing up it so I had to put blankets on it to stop him.

Day 129/365 (November 23, 2014)

Surprisingly wasn't sore from all that jumping yesterday! I got up early, made pumpkin waffles with apple cider syrup, and met Ally to go "meet Barnum" (the dog from Pippin) at Macy's. It was so funny because when we got there we were told we were not allowed to touch Barnum, and they handed out a rules sheet that said it twice. There was actually a decent line and I watched as everyone in line stood next to him and he was the perfect trained dog posing on his pillow at attention. Then when it was my turn and he saw me he abandoned his post and went after me sniffing, like hey pet me pet me. I was like I'm sorry they said I couldn't touch you and his owner looked over at me and was like oh ts you, you can pet him! so i gave him some TLC and then she was like I will have him stand up for your picture, he loves his fans... LOL I am apparently recognized by Broadway dogs as well. Then i went with Ally to a diner and was actually good!

Then it was home for some quality Lola time. She was very much into how boys stink and girls are great so she kept making signs that said Boys Stink and drew pictures of Sasha's vynlmation mice pretty well with stories. She also made me a necklace and told me the story of pregga nona with an Italian accent. We dealt with more leaky ceiling stuff when we noticed the wall by our pots and pans rack was also leaking. I also made cake balls, yum!

Day 128/365 (November 22, 2014)

The final bit of birthday celebration ended up with a trip to a trampoline park with a stop at target and michael's along the way. The trampoline park was so much fun, but this was smaller than the last one i went to so we had to take turns with others and there was a pregnant lady jumping with a toddler breaking so many rules. I also had an awkward run in with Jessica Phillips in the bathroom, as we both locked eyes and was like i know that face. If it had been outside the bathroom I would have said hi but inside would be just wrong! The whole day would have been great if later that night our ceiling hadn't have started leaking... on the couch/me. Poor Laura was staying over too so we had to come up with a different sleeping solution and thankful our landlord, Al, came over right away with help to figure out what was wrong. The leak started at 10:30 and they left at 1 am.
