Day 165/365 (December 29, 2014)

Went to work pretty early to get it out of the way to spend time with Ewa. All she wanted to do was see The Last Ship because Sting is in it... I hated when I saw it... I had zero desire to see it but was torn because she came to NY and I didn't want to be like see it alone! I realized that because of the altered New Year's schedule Pippin had a matinee on a Monday so I was like if you see Pippin with me, I will see The Last Ship with you. They did't have any rush seats left but I lurked around in the hopes of Standing Room. While waiting i met a lovely family when their little girl pointed out the rainbow in the sky! Thankfully we ended up with SRO tickets so we got to see it... she enjoyed it thankfully and it was fun being in the back especially before Act Two started!

We then went to The Last Ship lotto and somehow managed to lose so we got lotto loser tickets, then got dinner. The show was terrible again, I even fell asleep during it but Sting was better than the guy he replaced so that was a win at least. Then we waited at the Stage Door (Ewa's idea) and she lost her mind when Sting came out it was pretty funny then she couldn't believe all I did was say Thank You to him... haha

Day 153/365 (December 17, 2014)

Got up to rush Pippin because I hadn't seen it in a while, saw the matinee. After rush I went to work, then saw Pippin, then home where I met up with Matt (B.) and we watched a bit of The Spidey Boys DVD I had made since he missed the concert. Then I made my way to Laura's birthday party with Karen and we both locked ourselves out of the apartment... luckily Sasha had her keys!

After seeing the matinee of Pippin and thinking ahead to my schedule I realized I needed to go see Pippin in DC so I bought a bus ticket for Sunday!

Fred and Charlie were trying to get in my bag!

Day 145/365 (December 9, 2014)

They finally finished doing work in our apartment!

the skies had opened up and was raining like crazy... not sure how we didn't flood. I got to go to Gypsy of the Year which was super fun thanks to Ellyn. Hugh Jackman in person is quite lovely. Pippin was great and Michael C. Hall and Lena Hall were hilarious trying to do acrobat stuff a la Pippin. Kinky Boots were wonderful and everyone was all about Hugh at the end and he was a terrific sport!

Then it was off to my night at 54 Below. First I saw Laura Osnes who is basically perfect and did an amazing show, including singing There's a fine, fine line form Avenue Q complete with the Kate Monster puppet! Then it was time for The Spidey Boys show that I was filming. It was a really great show and I got an awesome spot to film from! Then we all went to Alfie's after and I made some new friends that I ended up going to Flaming Saddles with after and they don't allow woo-hooing haha. I even ran into someone I knew from NWS there

It was also weird to see Kate Monster just cholling on a box when I went up to the dressing rooms.

Day 139/365 (December 3, 2014)

So I found out Mike Schwitter was going on as Pippin and I really wanted to see that so I Spent my morning at Pippin Rush and was able to get a ticket for Shoshana and I to the matinee. Then I headed to work for a bit and went home. While I was home I made the frosting for the cupcakes and then frosted/decorated them. They looked so fun and colorful and tasted good too! Then I packaged them up nicely for Mike and Adam and headed out to Pippin, Even though we had front row tickets which is where I like to sit for rush Shoshana didn't want to sit there so she asked an usher if we could sit someplace else. She said we didn't have to but of course I am not one to disagree in situations like that so I sat orchestra right begrudgingly. I am still upset I didn't sit in the front but at the same time I am gad we sat back there so I could see the whole show without straining my neck and I mean I could see the whole show, which was nice. Mike really is so great as Pippin. After we waited in the audience because he said there was a talk back so he was going to come out to say hi... he had so many people waiting for him... so popular! Said a quick hello, gave him the cupcakes, dropped off Adam's cupcakes and then went home. When I got home I began work on dipping the cake balls in chocolate and decorating them with nerds... also super cute and very sweet! Ben David popped in so I made him take a bunch to give to his friends! Then I headed out to Kayla's birthday party for some karaoke fun. The book didn't know how to spell December, i saw Kavin, and Rachel, and Hope, and sang some fun songs that others seemed to like my picks! I ate 2 slices of pizza and junk food which was not smart but so tasty! then I came home because I thought we were decorating the apartment for Christmas... I was wrong. Then I ended taking some of the cake balls to bring to Penski and Ally. It was nice chatting with Penski since it had been a short time,.,, then home again for good/sleep.

Day 129/365 (November 23, 2014)

Surprisingly wasn't sore from all that jumping yesterday! I got up early, made pumpkin waffles with apple cider syrup, and met Ally to go "meet Barnum" (the dog from Pippin) at Macy's. It was so funny because when we got there we were told we were not allowed to touch Barnum, and they handed out a rules sheet that said it twice. There was actually a decent line and I watched as everyone in line stood next to him and he was the perfect trained dog posing on his pillow at attention. Then when it was my turn and he saw me he abandoned his post and went after me sniffing, like hey pet me pet me. I was like I'm sorry they said I couldn't touch you and his owner looked over at me and was like oh ts you, you can pet him! so i gave him some TLC and then she was like I will have him stand up for your picture, he loves his fans... LOL I am apparently recognized by Broadway dogs as well. Then i went with Ally to a diner and was actually good!

Then it was home for some quality Lola time. She was very much into how boys stink and girls are great so she kept making signs that said Boys Stink and drew pictures of Sasha's vynlmation mice pretty well with stories. She also made me a necklace and told me the story of pregga nona with an Italian accent. We dealt with more leaky ceiling stuff when we noticed the wall by our pots and pans rack was also leaking. I also made cake balls, yum!

Day 125/365 (November 19, 2014)

What a really great day! I got a rush ticket to Pippin and when I went to leave work everyone in the office took me across the street to have a fireball shot to celebrate my birthday. I then went home and when I got there Sasha was like "what are you doing home, go in your room, shut the door, and don't come out until i say you can." I interrupted her final birthday gift prep... so I hid out for a touch then was bale to come out.

Glad I saw Pippin and got a super cute picture with Adam Roberts after in his makeup... he was all birthday selfie! He also thought I was 27 so that is a win and someone wished me a Happy Sweet 16. Then I met up with Ally and got my nails done since they needed some maintenance. After I went home and they removed the "un" from the Alice party banner so it said have a very merry birthday to you. I opened my awesome presents including the super cool batgirl tutu and a kitchen torch! Had more of my birthday cheesecake cake (that I had been eating all day... breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack).

Headed out to Deacon Brody's to meet up with some people. Thanks to Sasha, Karen, Jo Ann, Kristen, Lindsay, Hope, Shoshana, and Andrey for joining me. Then went home and had some more drinks with Hope, Sasha, and Karen and Marty Thomas swung by... so overall my day was filled with so much love.

Day 110365 (November 4, 2014)

Oopsie I rushed Pippin this morning.... I mean it will be closing Jan. 4 and I want to see Josh Kaufman. I was going to wait a couple weeks to give him a chance to grow in the role before seeing him to give him a fair chance, but the closing notice forced me to go sooner, and it has been 6 days since I saw it... I need to tone it down though if I plan on seeing the tour and not dwindling my savings account on theatre.

I went to the gym and came home to try to take a peaceful bath instead Charlie cred the whole time. eventually i went out to see Pippin. I do love the show. Josh is trying really hard and he sounded really good during Morning Glow and On the Right Track. He needs some time and to realize saying lines loudly does not equate to acting/high energy. However I didn't dislike him as much as I thought I would and the fact I could see how hard he was trying and cared is enough for me to give him another shot in a couple of weeks. My anonymity at the show is officially gone... all the looks form the acrobats and actors are very fun and appreciated. The cute acrobat girl I finally spoke with the other night saw me in the aisle and ran to give me a hug at the beginning of Act 2 which was pretty sweet. I got a picture with Mike in his Lewis costume since they were collecting for BC/EFA, Baby Orion (the Australian) finally was in the whole show so it was nice to see that.... he is doing a pretty good job and the fire juggling can now be back!

Then after the show they were having a "fan appreciation party" to welcome and celebrate Josh joining the cast. I ate way too much cheese and other little foods. It was nice to hang out an chat with some of them, and ones I don;t usually get to like Andrew Fitch and Charlie for a hot minute. I met Josh and he was very nice. I met Baby Orion and had some nice convos with two of the acrobats and one of the little Theos (Eli). It was a late but really needed fun night, my only regret is all the food i stuffed in my face because I need to work on my self control.

Day 104/365 (October 29, 2014)

After only 2 hours of sleep both Ally and I woke up to rush Pippin for Kyle Dean's last day as Pippin on Broadway. We got there way too early, but once again we wanted to be safe not sorry. It is a good thing we were first in line because they only had two front row seats left for the evening show. It was worth it. We played Disney trivia in line and her friends got there later, but they had to study for their mid-terms... yuck! I ended up with the one front row seat I hadn't sat in yet AA112! Had to do my sad face rush pose in front of his poster before it went away.

Then i rushed home and did a quick change and headed to work for a few hours. I dropped some of the smores off at Cinderella for Neil and I came home to have lunch, shower, and change and when I got there I found mail from Whitney which was a super cute cupcake necklace and a unicorn for cats... so naturally I took a picture of Fred wearing it. I tried for charlie but he did not cooperate. Then it was off to the matinee. The show itself was wonderful and I loved my seat J1 but man oh man the audience was terribly rude! there was a high school group there and they kept talking and making oOo noises at things and especially during the shirtless/cage seen they were so rowdy and cat calling him and whistling an it was embarrassing me highly I do not know how Kyle Dean (and the others) kept it together like nothing was happening, and then when he was putting his shirt back on some were yelling to keep it off. and later in Act Two the Bolero seen when they were under the covers it was rough! The people all around me were talking loudly, and at one point when KDM is in the audience at the beginning of the duck scene as he was walking off an older man in front of me yelled run away she is trouble, and KDM made the funniest look as he was trying to remain in character and turn around for his next line. Also during intermission I spied Mark by where I was sitting and I didn't realize just how much his sudden dropping me s a friend had affected me until I saw him and it made me extremely unhappy and angry that he was even there. didn't he like move to Florida or something... why not stay away, jerk! I can't help it that you are behaving like a big old baby when you are more than 20 years older than I am. Any way it had been really nice out on the way there so I didn't have a coat but by the time the show ended it was freezing, but since this was his last day I was waiting at Stage Door and Mark was only a few feet from me and we did not acknowledge each other's presence. I kept debating about if I should or not but for a while I couldn't bring myself to be the bigger person. It became apparent after a while that no one, even KDM, would be coming out but I am so competitive and Mark made me so angry that I din't want to let him "win" by giving up and leaving first, despite how freaking cold I was. I waited for at least 45 minutes to an hour and finally only caved because I needed to go to the bathroom pretty badly. On the way by thoughj i did say Bye Mark, he begrudgingly said bye back.

I came home and warmed up and had dinner before heading out for KDM's last show. I liked sitting in that seat and the show itself once again was really good but once again another rude audience. This time there were 3 people in the front row on the other side that turned out to be friends of one of the acrobats. They were drunk and yelling during the show, like repeating lines and waving arms like at a concert and it wasn't until the very end an usher came and told them to stop... it should have been sooner! Once again not sure how the cast stayed in character, true professionals, especially the little boys who played theo who didn't let the talking stop them from their moment at the end of the show and stayed on key and everything.

KDM got extra applause/love after extraordinary and that made me happy. Ally decided to wear her Pippin costume for pictures and I must say, despite my concern over the color not being right more than one cast member, KDM included, said "the color was spot on" so I did a really good job! Mike even said he asked the wardrobe department about the shirt because a friend really liked it and I guess in the show they buy a really expensive designer one to dye and here she was with a $6 one I dyed correctly that fit and looked the same... so I win! While at the stage door Mark and I once again kept our distance and I ran onto that Producer guy from last week who is a character and was bedazzled. He was pretty intense but amusing to speak with and quite eccentric. The only time he really bothered me was when KDM came out and I wanted to speak with him by myself, and I gave him personal space to chat with KDM, then when he kept trying to come talk to me he just didn't want to let go and KDM and I kept giving each other looks like okay let's wrap this up. When we finally got to chat he sang "so anyway I'm leaving" from n2n and i was like knife to the heart dude! we chatted for just a bit because I knew he was busy and others were still waiting but I said I would come see him on tour and we said goodbye and had him sign my playbill. I can't lie about how he makes my heart happy, especially when he calls me doll and when he keeps up the tradition of writing love you on playbills form his final shows. Then he moved on tot he next set of people and I chatted with this girl I had met earlier in the day from Mexico for a while. She was nice, then I chatted with Ally and the twins for a while before finally heading home. It was a very long and fun eventful day!
