Day 167/365 (December 31, 2014)

A day of fun and productivity! I spent the majority of the day in my PJs and making the chocolate cupcakes for Shoshana's New Year's Eve party and the business cards to go with them. Then I also made snickerdoodle macarons for our own "party" Some of them were perfect, the others were overbooked so a bit hard but still good... and Dawn arrived! Always great to see her.

Hope came over and we had burrito box, yum! Eventually dawn and I went to the NYE party and had a great time.. I still feel bad I kind of left them but I tried to get them to come and I told them I had wanted to go out this year.

Please note Charlie lounging on the radiator

Day 147/365 (December 11, 2014)

There was work and a slight frustration with Ted because he was asking me what we would be doing about the gifts to our clients... but I was like you need to bring them into the office so I can actually send them out!

Then when I got home I played fetch with Charlie and begun working on cookies to send to our landlord as a than you. I made the most perfect looking macarons and then ended up making snickerdoodles because Karen thought macarons were stupid to send as a cookie. I also delivered the Spidey Boys DVD I made to Brandon along with my memory card.

Later that night I went to Davenport's The Producer's Perspective Social and ran into someone I realized I had met at Kayla's birthday party... Zach. I asked Davenport about an Altar Boyz reunion concert and he said one was in the works.

Then came home and did some apartment Christmas decorating and Dressed Charlie up as a reindeer.

Day 133/365 (November 27, 2014)

Happy Thanksgiving! I ate some of my cranberry bread for breakfast... so good! I saw one balloon from the Macy's parade float by as I made my way to the shuttle to head out to New Rochelle.

Thanksgiving was pretty quiet but good. Delicious food that I way overate and I saw Clare making macarons. They were pretty tasty! FOOD COMA and Uncle Dennis helped me with my resume

Day 107365 (November 1, 2014)

It was the day of the party. It was also not so much a good day and a good one at the same time.  I started by doing cake ball prep and then my mom called to say Nana wasn't doing too well and they thought she might die at any moment. Needless to say I was pretty upset. She ended up slipping into a coma later in the day. I feel so helpless and torn, but I don't handle emotions very well so I find it best to turn them off and compartmentalize. Luckily the party provided a good distraction. I made the chai cake balls and had fun splattering them with colors like Sasha wanted. Sasha and Karen did an excellent job of turning our apartment into Wonderland. I really remarkable job! The boys even dressed up, well Fred had a few costume changes, Charlie wasn't as cooperative but I love my behind the scenes shot of a kitty costume photo shoot! They even got Lola to record quotes from the book in her British accent and had it play in between the background music... donezo!

we played mao, psychiatrist, mafia, and just had a really fun time. Hope's white rabbit costume was AMAZING, as was Laura's Cheshire cat makeup. I enjoyed being Alice in Wonderland and Monique was Alice also, haha. I think me chasing Hope is one of the greatest pictures! I did stuff my face with all of the wonderful food... the macarons (those burger things) were a hit as were the cake balls. Sasha couldn't wait to try the macarons.

Day 106/365 (October 31, 2014)

Busy busy busy day! I had my Jenny appointment and did a bank errand. The appointment took a bunch of time because Shareen was running late, and it wasn't the best appointment because I was the exact same weight as the week before. I am okay with that since I over ate during the week and din't really get in much exercise since I was so busy. I came home, had breakfast, then got started on the tasks for the day. I made 56 cake balls and wrapped them individually, baked a cake for the cake balls for the party, made the pumpkin macarons... it was another baking explosion day. I also went over to New World Stages for a bit to help Marty and Marissa set up for the Halloween party. The place turned out to look super amazing!

I came home and did more work and then finally got ready. I went out to movie night to watch Rocky Horror Show... i do not like that movie after finally having seen it... nope! the music is catchy but nope! then I went downstairs to set up. The night went pretty well. People kept coming and I made a tiny profit. I got lots of great feedback and one scandalous bear thought he could help my business grow by giving me detailed instructions on how to get THC into butter to make the goods laced. I was like um thanks but ah no way! I mean he doesn't know me from a hole in the wall but if he did h would know that would never happen in a million years! I may have eaten a few of my cookies while there, oops! I enjoyed my costume as the sugar fairy and even more the fact  the only thing I bought for it was the cupcake patch and the sparkly fabric paint.

Day 95/365 (October 20, 2014)

So cold today, and I am starting to stress about my quick trip to MA the end of the week! After work I went to the gym and I am so proud of myself, i was on the elliptical for 35 minutes and did 4.77 miles! Then i did some Fairway and Trader Joe's shopping before coming home. I forgot my anytime bar this morning and that caused much hunger throughout the day!

When I got home after a bit I decided I wanted to try making pumpkin spice macarons with a browned buttercream filling as a test for the Halloween party I am going to next week. They turned out pretty freaking amazing! the recipe left out some detail I know from the one other time I made them so I sort of took my chances. The first batch had a bunch come out cracked like a snickerdoodle since I guess I didn't let them sit out long enough but the next batch came out perfect, and for the most part they are all the same size thanks to the stencil i made ages ago! The frosting though i think is the real star... so good, it took all I had not to squeeze the leftovers in my mouth! I also made some cute gift boxes  from zebra cardstock for them to give away!

Day 29/365 (August 15, 2014)

The day started way early as I made my way to rush Rocky at 6:15 am. I am taking Clare to see it... i slept for a while on the sidewalk so all was well! I am sad it is closing Sunday but glad i will get to see it one last time!

Then it was off to work for a bit and I went to the gym for an hour.... self imposed workouts can be done!

I then went home and freshened up before heading out to meet Clare who was taking the train into the city by herself for the first time. We walked back to my apartment through times square and then headed out again.  She wanted to try Burrito Box so we ordered food there then headed to the courtyard where we ate and chatted until we made a mad dash to Bouchon bakery because she wanted macarons (pina colada and pistachio flavored). Then we headed off to see Rocky.

I realized as I was watching Rocky that seeing it 5 times was not enough, I am sad I didn't see it a few more times before it closed. The show was of course wonderful (even though there was a technical difficulty and the show stopped for like ten minutes during the "i'm digging it" song as i call it. I give those people major credit. They kept going with the song even though the set wasn't working and the curtain was slowly coming down. They didn't stop until the voice of god made the announcement even though the curtain was only open like a foot at that point... then after about 10 minutes it resumed without the office set but they picked up right where they left off like nothing had even happened. The pause was great though because it gave me a chance to check in with Clare and see if she was loving it and understanding it. I am so pleased she loved the show! During curtain call I had a personal great moment, because we were sitting front row side orchestra so super close to the ring and Kevin Del Aguila saw me and pointed and smiled/waved because he remembered me from the night before. That made my Altarholic heart happy!

Then Clare and I headed back home since her dad was picking us up because I was watching them for the weekend.
