Day 334/365 (June 16, 2015)

After work I headed home and embarked on a 7.5 hour baking adventure. I really didn't think it would take that long and I ate way too many sugar cookies. Thankfully the sugar cookie dough i had made the night before had firmed up enough that I could roll it out and after each roll out i slowly added more flour to it... this made the cookies come out with various thickness and spread-outedness depending on when it was cut. This made them not my best sugar cookie attempt but I didn't really care because they were going on cupcakes and needed to be decorated.

Over the next several hours many dished were done, and I went on a cookie decorating rampage with some design ideas from Sasha and Karen. I made jock straps and thongs and they came out better than the boobs (complete with pasties) I made. They are for a Broadway Bares bake sale and the theme this year is tops and bottoms. I used candy melts in strategic places to imply bumps. My most scandalous decorating yet! I also made 75 mini red velvet cupcakes and frosting that once again not my best but still good. I got to the point of the night where I just didn't care anymore because i wanted it done. Did i mention i ate way too many cookies also?

I left the kitchen cleaner than when I began because I am actually good at picking up after myself.

Day 110365 (November 4, 2014)

Oopsie I rushed Pippin this morning.... I mean it will be closing Jan. 4 and I want to see Josh Kaufman. I was going to wait a couple weeks to give him a chance to grow in the role before seeing him to give him a fair chance, but the closing notice forced me to go sooner, and it has been 6 days since I saw it... I need to tone it down though if I plan on seeing the tour and not dwindling my savings account on theatre.

I went to the gym and came home to try to take a peaceful bath instead Charlie cred the whole time. eventually i went out to see Pippin. I do love the show. Josh is trying really hard and he sounded really good during Morning Glow and On the Right Track. He needs some time and to realize saying lines loudly does not equate to acting/high energy. However I didn't dislike him as much as I thought I would and the fact I could see how hard he was trying and cared is enough for me to give him another shot in a couple of weeks. My anonymity at the show is officially gone... all the looks form the acrobats and actors are very fun and appreciated. The cute acrobat girl I finally spoke with the other night saw me in the aisle and ran to give me a hug at the beginning of Act 2 which was pretty sweet. I got a picture with Mike in his Lewis costume since they were collecting for BC/EFA, Baby Orion (the Australian) finally was in the whole show so it was nice to see that.... he is doing a pretty good job and the fire juggling can now be back!

Then after the show they were having a "fan appreciation party" to welcome and celebrate Josh joining the cast. I ate way too much cheese and other little foods. It was nice to hang out an chat with some of them, and ones I don;t usually get to like Andrew Fitch and Charlie for a hot minute. I met Josh and he was very nice. I met Baby Orion and had some nice convos with two of the acrobats and one of the little Theos (Eli). It was a late but really needed fun night, my only regret is all the food i stuffed in my face because I need to work on my self control.

Day 107365 (November 1, 2014)

It was the day of the party. It was also not so much a good day and a good one at the same time.  I started by doing cake ball prep and then my mom called to say Nana wasn't doing too well and they thought she might die at any moment. Needless to say I was pretty upset. She ended up slipping into a coma later in the day. I feel so helpless and torn, but I don't handle emotions very well so I find it best to turn them off and compartmentalize. Luckily the party provided a good distraction. I made the chai cake balls and had fun splattering them with colors like Sasha wanted. Sasha and Karen did an excellent job of turning our apartment into Wonderland. I really remarkable job! The boys even dressed up, well Fred had a few costume changes, Charlie wasn't as cooperative but I love my behind the scenes shot of a kitty costume photo shoot! They even got Lola to record quotes from the book in her British accent and had it play in between the background music... donezo!

we played mao, psychiatrist, mafia, and just had a really fun time. Hope's white rabbit costume was AMAZING, as was Laura's Cheshire cat makeup. I enjoyed being Alice in Wonderland and Monique was Alice also, haha. I think me chasing Hope is one of the greatest pictures! I did stuff my face with all of the wonderful food... the macarons (those burger things) were a hit as were the cake balls. Sasha couldn't wait to try the macarons.
