Day 270/365 (April 13, 2015)

I went to work, then headed home for a little bit before heading out to see a reading of a play called Our Class. I was going originally because Hunter Parrish was supposed to be in it, but he had to cancel sometime last week. Since I already had a ticket I figured I would go any way. It was at the Skirball Center so I decided to walk downtown and enjoy the lovely day. Only when I got there I realized something was off so I checked the email with info again. How many times did I look at this email and skip over the address and the full name of the place? Moron... i am a moron! At 6:34 for a 7 pm start I realized it was at the Temple Eman-uel Skirball Center which is on 66th between 5th and Madison... I was not only in the wrong place but the wrong end of town! I quickly looked up how to get there and set off. I had to do some running but I got there by 7:05 and luckily (or so I thought) it hadn't started yet.

I should not have gone... it was longer than they said it would be, and although the concept was fascinating it just was too much. I actually started texting during it because I was off to the side and the people that had been around me didn't come back after intermission... curse my OCD! They also did a Q & A with the playwright unexpectedly before it began and the guy could only speak Polish SO there was a translator which made it take a really long time

When it was finally over I fled... and heard a group of older people talking about it and had the same thoughts as me. I popped into a Subway for some food because I was starving then home I went!

On the ride home I noticed that NYU Langone had some fabulous ads... I didn't take pictures of all of them, but brilliant... especially the Long jump which is so me!

Day 364/365 (August 17, 2009)

What an exhausting and hot morning! i got up and headed to the cake store to buy the outrageously overpriced chocolate i need to make satan's balls. the customer service at that store is so bad. i asked a simple question and when they finally answered it they did so in a way that gave off a "why are you asking me this question you stupid moron" type of vibe. then i came back tot he apartment and grabbed my laundry. i brought it home and put it away, helped unsuccessfully to find emma and got milk up and through my nose. emma is missing from our apartment. this means she left through one of the open (barred) windows. there is thankfully no kitty splat on the ground under any of the windows but i am extremely worried because she isnt exactly an adventurous cat and she must be terrified right now because she is missing us and has no way of getting back home. krysta has gone to check with the shelters to see if she is there, so i emailed her pictures of emma. good thing i take obsessive amounts of pictures of the animals in my life!

i am also just hanging with the puppy for a little while before i eventually end up at sashas before i get up early tomorrow morning.

the next errand i ran was to sashas to drop off as much of my stuff as possible and then after cooling down for a bit with the help of her AC and chatting i finally headed back to kims. i am now finishing up laundry and got a phone call from "my" temp agency. it seems they avent forgotten about me and are trying to set up an interview for me.

Even though i wanted nothing more than to be done with my 365 project when i was one picture away (this one) from completing it i waited until after midnight to snap a picture of the glorious washer and drier that has been so good to me! (seriously i spent close to 6 hours (or maybe even more) working on this project and i cant wait for everyone to see it! this picture may not be the highest quality it could have been but i needed it to fit the project just right, and this will do it! This also means that even though i had a full day of busy activities and would like to add another picture i cannot do that, so we will live with this! i am also very saddened because when i printed my 365 project i found a mistake i made on it and one picture is covering me :( on the first picture in my 365 blog! but i mean when you look at it the liklihood of anyone noticing this problem is very slim unless you are me and know about it (and well you just read this though i still suspect you might have a hard time spotting the mistake... i am just so infuriated by it and i could have fixed it and printed again but for such a tiny thing it would have been a waste of ink and photo paper although now that i think about it maybe it would not have been because i could have framed it because the mre i think about it the more i think that would be cool to do... hmm... but i cant reprint it in time now and if i am sure i wont allow myself to reprint another one that is fixed because it would not be the same one that was used in the end... DARN MY OCD!!!!

Day 257/365 (May 2, 2009)

The day started off as a lazy day. Me and the puppy spent quite a bit of time playing and keeping each other company, whilst watching a lot of tv. Finally i realized i needed to swing by my apartment even to drop off my laundry so i could be able to bring home my pizza making stuff easily on sunday. Even though i was in a weird mood i got up and headed out. It should not have taken that long to get home, but alas between the subway running local this weekend, and the construction happening around columbus circle, it took close to 45 minutes just to get from 14th st to 59th st! once past there we zipped along at a normal pace.

Going home ended up being the worst thing. between the long uncomfortable ride home, my already weird mood, my OCD in full effect, and severe discomfort at the clothes i was wearing, walking in and seeing the place a complete and utter disaster while smelling right foul of animal urine just sent me on overload. there was new furniture we dont have room for strewn about with other furniture like things, and a BIG mattress on the floor in my room interfering with the air mattress set up for our guests, and blocking the walkway to my bed leaving barely any floor space, and i couldnt get in my closet to put my laundry away. instead i made my bed and laid the clothes out on bed to get them ready for hanging when i can get in. stressed was an understatement, and a tizzy i was in!

this all sent me into a downward spiral of an emotional mess. i just wanted to get my pizza dough, get to kim's, and make pizza and crash. Well i got out at 28th to go to Whole Foods and the only dough they had left was frozen solid which meant no pizza for me and then i got to kim's and was starving! i ended up ordering a very yummy cheeseburger and onion rings. After more puppy time and tv i finally fell asleep. On the subway back i eneded up randomly listening to Scott Alan's Dreaming Wide Awake and it helped me calm down a little, which was nice.

Day 168/365 (February 2, 2009)

i finally left the apartment and ate real food after my weekend of being a sick person! Unfortunately life was conspiring against me and turned me into a crazy woman. Everything was sending me into what i call "sensory overload." my hair was hitting my lips, my bag wouldnt stay on my shoulder, my bra was annoying me beyond belief, when i put my hair in a ponytail it kept hitting my right ear, and i needed it to then hit my right ear because of my crazy OCD. A whole bunch of things and when i finally got to the metropolitan room for the Friends with Benefits Benefit i couldnt sit still because i was so irked.

Luckily it subsided almost completely before the show started. We made new "friends" with a random person named Nick who sat with us until he discovered an actual friend who was there for him to sit with.  The event was really great. Even better than the ast one i went to. Highlights included this girl who i cant remember her name who sang this song "I want you back" (not *NSYNC) and she was so funny! The two guys singing the love song medley that had some awesome Xanadu in it, rory o'malley singing some beautiful songs and Ryan J Ratliff singing his song.

When i got off the subway i realized i hadnt taken a photo yet and saw this bike stand. One of my many OCDs is that i like to walk on/over it whenever i walk by if there is nothing on it. Basically i use my left foot to step on the swoop in the middle and my right legs geos over the right loop of it.
