Day 100/365 (October 25, 2014)

Another day where i spent the majority of it feeling overwhelmed and stressed but it was all for a good reason! I spent my morning playing with Tessa and Colson, making a whole bunch of frosting, and filling/crumb coating the cakes. Then i went to Tessa's soccer game for a while. Then hurried to get my mom who doesn't know the meaning of "in a hurry." When I finally got back to Becky's I made the last bit of frosting and then did the actual frosting coating. Becky's kitchen aide is great because it is a larger capacity so I was able to make 3 batches of frosting at once, and probably could have done u to 5! However it doesn't tilt up so it was difficult to scrape the sides and was driving me batty!

Mike then came and used a toothpick to draw a tractor on the cake and I made the different colors, and was so pleased the black actually came out black! Then I traced the tractor and stacked the cakes and piped the border. Then began picking up after myself since I made a mess! Mike had to write on the cake since Sasha was too far away.

The party itself was very nice and t was good to see everyone that showed up. There were so many cute little kids there that enjoyed my cake... which I ended up having way too much of, sugar overload! I was also "surprised" with a cake of my own. I saw it before they brought it out but i acted surprised for them and it was very sweet since they never see me on my birthday. Samantha and Mike came with baby Xavier. He is such a cutie but was asleep most of the party which they didn't want. It was funny watching them try to keep him awake but that was a failure... until they went to leave and then he was wide awake!

After the party was over I stuck around for a bit and then sadly had to leave. I am always so conflicted because MA stresses and overwhelms me but when it is time to eave it is always so hard especially when I am with Becky and her kids. I had to hold back tears while driving. Luckily I made great time and when I got home i actually parallel parked the car in front of the apartment... first time ever! After everything was unloaded it took me 22 minutes to drive the car the one block to park it thanks to city traffic!

Day 99/365 (October 24, 2014)

I got a much later start than I was expecting while heading out to MA, but thankfully there was only one spot where i voided major traffic and was able to take a different road so I had smooth sailing. I love singing at the top of my lungs when alone in the car! Please note how much stuff i packed to go away for one night! In my defense a great deal of it was my baking stuff for cake making/decorating.

Let me tell you Colson is one of the most energetic 2 year old boys I have ever met. He wanted me to follow him around and sit everywhere and kept grabbing my hand and melting my heart. After a couple hours I had just enough time to say hi to Tessa before having to go take my mother speed shopping because her ride fell through. The last thing I needed to add to my day was that but I had to because she needed stuff for the party. I made us do shopping very fats and attempted to upgrade my phone but of course they were sold out for the day so I failed! I also found out my Nana was placed in a nursing home that morning since she is becoming very difficult to care for because she is getting very violent, and of course that means there is much family drama.

Then I got back to Becky's and had a sleepover with Tessa that involved her helping me bake the cakes for Colson's party and playing Life on my phone. I even had some time to chat with Becky which was nice since I do miss her lots, but it was nice having a few moments to myself before going to bed to unwind since i was extremely strssed and overwhelmed today

Day 45/365 (August 31. 2014)

Barely any sleep! Since I was up so late the night before I only ended up with about 2 hours and 15 minutes worth of sleep before heading out to Mega Bus to head to MA. Thankfully the bus ride was swift and I fell asleep for just about 2 hours, we even arrived right on time, but sadly my ride got lost on the way there so I didn't get picked up until 25 minutes later.

I finally made it back to Ayer and spent some time with Nana and Grandpa  and my mother before taking a much needed extended nap. I woke up as Samantha, Mike, and new baby Xavier arrived. He is a total cutey and I got to hold him for a very long time! A bunch of people came over too to see him, including Becky and the kids. When Sam and Mike had to leave Becky kidnapped me and we went grocery shopping before heading back to her place. I go to spend some good quality time with her, Colson, Tessa, and Mike. We made dinner and then watched Blended in their home movie theater which is complete with a vending machine, it is pretty cool! It turns out Blended is a pretty funny movie.

Then it was back to my mom's for a tiny bit of sleep.

Day 235/365 (April 10, 2009)

What a day! so i was supposed to be at my aunt's for 2 so we could head out, i couldnt sleep the night prior (much like the last few nights) and even though i got home at a reasonable time i didnt get to bed until a little after 5. I was planning on waking up at noon which would not have made that a problem but my aunt decided to call me at 9 am! i have always had a "you can only call me between noontime and midnight" policy unless i have given prior permission to break this no matter what time i get up and get ready... it is even worse to be jostled after barely 4 hours of sleep and being awoken by the phone is one if the things i hate most in this world!

anywho she tells me its supposed to rain and pack light because stuff might not fit in the truck. and she said it in a way that made me feel like "i know i said you could ride with me but i would rather you didn't" so because i couldnt fall back asleep my cranky self sought out the help of others to decide what to do. i knew i would be missing several fun things whilst in MA and i know that i really end up in emotional misery when i go to MA so i didn't know what to do. finally i decided that i would rather be misery than deal with the guilt of telling my mother i was coming then having to tell her i wasnt because i was made to feel unwanted/invited.

the feeling got even worse when i got there and my aunt couldnt understand why i was so cranky and i explained to her that is what happens when i am woken up after only 4 hours of sleep, then i had to ride in the truck on the way back with my stuff in flimsy plastic bags hoping they wouldnt fly out of the back or get destroyed when it started to rain. it was emotional and physical uncomfortable travel.

we hit some traffic but made it back and i was so happy to see my kitty stalker since i love and miss him so much. then there was errand to target where i got some needed baking stuff and the stuff to make dinner the next night.

then it was back to my mom's place and laundry and TV. this also turned out to be my First MA trip in a couple years that didn't have some sort of benefit for me, like a show or concert.

i also i was extremely happy when stalker curled up and slept next to me that night!

Day 128/365 (December 24, 2008)

Christmas Eve… in MA… with the family… stress beyond belief but I am always happy to see my kitty, and surprisingly he has been very lovey dovey with me this trip… it makes me smile!
It is a holiday I am allowed to cheat! Here is my cousin Becky and her daughter Tessa. We did a Christmas Eve celebration at her house tonight… it went pretty well and it is kind of crazy to see my cousin as a true adult. We are only two weeks apart and yet I feel like she is more grown up than me with her own home, a great guy, and child. I think the greatest/craziest thing of the evening was hearing her say “I want to do this again every year to give her a tradition to be used to, I remember always going over to Tammy’s every Christmas Eve and having shrimp and I want her to have something to.”
