Day 350/365 (August 3, 2009)

since i had gone to bed so late the night before i woke up a little later than planned but still on the early side. i couldnt bring myself to get out of bed though so for about an hour i stayed there playing on my phone and being attentive to emma and pip. eventually i did get out of bed and my right ankle hurt to walk on but luckily that only lasted like an hour or so. no clue why that had happened though!

any way span some time and i decided i was going to a reading of a musical at York Theater... it was called 999 B.C. the people in it were good and the music was gone but the show and actual songs not so much. i kinda just wanted it to end, but at least the actors were good and that made the whole thing bareable. the woman next to me had fallen asleep long before the show had even started and only woke up when people were clapping.  with the exception of like 3 people everyone in the room was old and graying...  always awkward but eh whatevs. Todd was in it and that was the reason i had decided to go see it. afterwards i walked from york (on 54th and lex) to the 2/3 on 72nd... it was a lovely walk and i bought some yummy fruit. also on my walk to 72nd st i passed (as always) this weird bench with the creepy statue on it. i read who he was once before but i never remember it and all i know is whenever i walk by it it always creeps me out because i am like why is there a guy sitting on a bench so still when it is dark out then i remember it is the statue but still i always get the hebejebes for a split second!

now i am home and watching the episode of The Closer that Michael Arden is on and WHOA BABY! his acting in it is absolutely phenomenal! just wow! and when he speaks in french (as when any one does) my heart was melting a little but here is the kicker despite my lack of retaining french after taking it for so many years i was actually able to translate most of what he was saying and i feel quite proud of myself!

ps i cant believe i only have 15 days left for this to be a completed project! wow just wow! with any luck i will continue updating every day as i have been pretty much for the last month or so with like 1 or 2 exceptions!

Day 228/365 (April 3, 2009)

i woke up wicked early because i was in new rochelle and well they wake up early so that means i do too... it was nice being able to say bye to them before they went to school, and they were happy i finally spent more than a few hours with them and stayed the night. It was raining so very badly that day! but i made my way home and dropped off my laundry, did some quic roadtrip planning with megan for saturday, showered and headed out to meet zina. We went comic book shopping for her and it just made me happy to spend time with her, but we did lots of walking and i was wearing my uncomfortable rain boots and my feet were starting to hurt lots! i ended up at Sasha's with matthew and pip, and eventually Marty (and a little time with Nick) for a while before getting some food and heading off to the theatre where Nick's show was at.

The theatre was in a part of a church and we were really upset because we were one of the first people there and were waiting so we could get the front row, but they opened up the back door and we ended up being in the second to last row, but there were a ton of us!

The show was made awkward because when the subject matter and language of the show was taken into account and you looked up and saw the ginormous murals of jesus and god watching you it was a little creepy! but i was so proud of him and he did such a great job! The majority of the audience was comprised of people there for him (and the other guy) and even Luther came to see him which i thought was really sweet. then all of us and his parents went for a walk finding them a place to celebrate, and we sent them on their way then sasha, marty, and myself did a little errand before going to sasha's for a tiny bit where we put the at this performance sign i stole on nick's door, ad some popsicles, then went to mostly sondheim.

Mostly sondheim was so much fun and i had missed not being there for a whole month! kate was doing something else so it was just brian and todd and todd had people try out to be his co-host and i got to at one point which was super fun and even marty and sasha sang much to my delight! and when i was recounting the awkwardness of god looking down during the show brian started to play god is watching us (from a distance) which sasha and i were like thats what we were singing the whole time! then finally i needed to go home and get some sleep since i was doing some driving for a roadtrip!

when i got home i had an incredibly hard time getting my rain boots off... i mean we are talking my feet ended up swelling so they didnt want to come out and my poor heels were so tender from the boots.... so much pain... but by morning the feet werent swllen anymore which was nice, but they still hurt a bit.

at one point during the day i made heather's birthday card

Day 198/365 (March 4, 2009)

March 4th was a great day! It started with me getting up on the early side to go help Sasha and Jenny get The Little Mermaid tickets since their student ticket policy is lame and only one per ID, and Jenny doesn't have one.

I ran into KD at 72nd St while transferring and was glad i didn't look like a crazy person this time, then when i got to the theatre Matthew and Todd had walked with Sasha on their way to an audition. I had never met Todd before and he was pretty fab :D

We got the tickets (ended up getting front row center... too bad i wasnt seeing it) and then went back to Sasha's. I played on Rex (computer) for a bit until Jenny got there and i met her puppy Cashew. He came into the city for a doggie birthday party. He was so cute and we all loved him lots... Matthew and him didnt get along so well at first but once he conquered his fear they became besties as seen above. Todd pretended that Cashew was an understudy for Bruiser Woods and did a lovely scene from Legally Blonde... hilarious!

Then eventually Sasha, Jenny, Cashew, and myself headed down to South Street Seaport to drop Cashew off at the party. There were so many adorable dogs there... they were all so timy and happy and cute and many kept walkig on two legs they were so excited. There was even a mini dalmation which i didnt know existed. There were so many doggies clothes including some st. patrick's day themed ones that made me want a dog so i could i buy them for it.

The we headed to the Life Cafe to get some lunch... the food took forever to come but it was so yummy! Then we headed back uptown and Sasha and Jenny went to mermaid, and i went home to watch High School Musical 3 which Sasha let me borrow and i liked it lots.
