Day 355/365 (July 7, 2015)
Went to work then to trader joes and my jenny appointment. Then i went home to drop off my food and relax for a touch before heading out . I was meeting up with Megan and Hope for dinner at the Sugar Factory so I went 90 minutes early to put our name on the wait list. Then i went to kill time at a Coffee Bean until meeting with the ladies. good thing i got there when i did to put our name in because we still had to wait until 8:15 for a table!
We got a Berry Bliss goblet which let me tell you was no joke! so much stronger than the one i got last time! It was nice having a ladies night and catching up with Megan one last time before she moves back home to Nashville... gonna miss her!
When our evening was over w headed home and Hope and I had a lengthy much needed conversation about my life on my stoop. Unfortunately while we were doing this some creepy guy came over and was harassing us and planted a kiss on hope's very unwilling cheek. If Philippe had been there instead of random dude working at Brazil Brazil I know he would have helped us.
Earlier in the day had especially bad texts with the roomies about our moving situation and Sasha telling me things like just get over it.... that doesn't really work for people.
I also spent a good portion of the day trying to locate an emergency piano player since the one who was supposed to play tomorrow bailed.

Day 321/365 (July 5, 2009)

my day started out really weird. i had originally planned on getting up at 10:30 so i had time to get ready and chill before heading out to brooklyn but i couldnt bring myself to get up until 12, which is when i was originally planning on leaving! i had the most unusual experience that freaked me out a little... i got a phone call and asked who was and the person answered your father but i knew it wasnt him since A. he died a few years ago and B it sounded like my cousin alyssa. anyways as i was thinking about why alyssa was calling me since i didnt think she had my number and well she never has before my alarm went off and i realized i had never been on the phone instead it was a dream the whole time that just felt real. it freaked me out so much i had to ask krysta if something that happened earlier was real or a dream... it was real at least!i eventually headed out to brooklyn to megan's apartment and got their even quicker than i expected, and not much later than i originally intended! on the way there i began re-reading harry potter and the half-blood prince... i didnt get far before the dude next to me saw what i was reading and engaged me in conversation about the books and movies and i kept thinking dude can't you see i am trying to read but was unable to tell him because i felt bad.
the time atmegan's was lots of fun we ate bagels, and chips and salsa while playing harry potter scene it, balderdash, and rock band. i got booed of the stage my first time playing but did much better the next attempt! and i learned that i should know wesley snipes better since he is snipes not snipe, emily is cornish pixie intuitive, and laura and i were both a little crazy. it was really a great afternoon of fun and good peeps... then on the way home i took my own discovered non-hop stop way and it got me home wicked fast compared to what hopstop had told me, so that was pretty exciting! i also discovered a unicyclist on 141 and ACP... it amused greatly, especially when he was forced to stop for a light and i was able to get this picture!
i decided also that i need to try to be in better spirits and stuff during the week so i need to do things that will try to prevent me from slipping into a not good emotional state as i seem so prone to do lately. this weekend really rejuvenated my spirits and i dont want to jeopardize that!

Day 264/365 (May 9. 2009)
this was kind of a day i just needed really badly. I had so much fun during the week but i was just on the go ya know? well after we all woke up (yay for my first dose of real sleep in a while, and sending dawn on her way back home sadly) i ate a little "breakfast" with ewa before giving her directions and sending her on her way. then i spent some time relaxing before i headed over to the Trump Tower apartments on the East Side. It was a trek but so worth it!I was the first to arrive at Hope's boss' apartment and we hung for a bit while playing with Erin's Wii. I still felt like my right arm was missing without having my camera to take a picture of the amazing view! We played some American Idol KAraoke Revolution, then played Smarty Pants for a bit... i dont like that game! Eventually Emily arrived, and with my supplies she was able to add her final touch to the thesis cake she made Megan... i ended up with that colorful tongue because of it... i call it tongue art.
Megan arrived an then Erin came... Hope ordered pizza, i brought pretzles, and chips and salsa, megan brought soda and stuff and then the fun began! i ate sooooo much stuff and had sooooo much fun playing karaoke idol for quite a few hours! eventually we finished it up by watching the last half hour of the traitor justin timberlake hosting SNL which i didnt find funny at all, but i was with my friends so i didnt mind.
then i walked all the way across the island practically to the subway and went home and slept. i was very happy ewa didnt mind me staying with my friends instead of meeting her right after she saw 9 to 5... she is a good cousin!

Day 229/365 (April 4, 2009)
A day of happiness!
So i woke up wicked early because a stupid alarm went off that i had to turn off... then i got a phone call and ended up with only 5 hours of sleep for the day ahead which did not please me, but there was nothing i could do. after i got ready i packed my bag since i was wearing "driving pants" and then i went to meet megan at 125th st. after a little stop in dunkin donuts and getting 6 donuts for $3 i met megan and we hoped the M60 towards laguardia to get to enterprise for our rental car. The people that helped us were the same ones that did last year when we went with kitten... glad they didnt remember us!
we had reserved a teeny tiny car but they gave us a bigger one and i really loved it and i was the first renter of it because they said they just put the plates on it today! Megan and i then went and picked emily up then circled around to get laura.... and the fun began!
there is nothing i enjoy better than a roadtrip with some of my most favorite people and it was funny because we all brought music playing options (yay for me having the double ended cable so we could use the aux jack i was hoping the car would and did have) then we were like directions... good thing laura printed them off since my phone was misbehaving!
i got a little road rage being stuck at a toll and found a creepy drunk guy that followed us in westport but we eventually found the place, got some food and went back. the other bands were very good and it was just happiness times alot seeing the spring standards play and whatnot. since it was heather's birthday we brought a card and megan made some yummy goodness... surprisingly i gave up baking responsibilities which shocked me greatly! after we got "puff paint" t-shirts that heather decorated and thankfully mine made it back unharmed! though the shirt started with some minor stain on it.
we dropped laura and megan off at the subway and emily and i begun our interesting journey returning the car... ps i cant lie and am not good at coming up with quick answers to cover stories.... yes please remember this for the future people!
eventually i got him and sleep was nice... oh earlier i had put away my laundry and made my bed so i was able to sleep in my bed since the night before i had to sleep on the couch because i never put laundry away or made my bed from my trip to new rochelle.
ps by the end of the trip i had consumed 4.5 of the donuts... i didnt feel so good in the end!
Day 228/365 (April 3, 2009)
The theatre was in a part of a church and we were really upset because we were one of the first people there and were waiting so we could get the front row, but they opened up the back door and we ended up being in the second to last row, but there were a ton of us!
The show was made awkward because when the subject matter and language of the show was taken into account and you looked up and saw the ginormous murals of jesus and god watching you it was a little creepy! but i was so proud of him and he did such a great job! The majority of the audience was comprised of people there for him (and the other guy) and even Luther came to see him which i thought was really sweet. then all of us and his parents went for a walk finding them a place to celebrate, and we sent them on their way then sasha, marty, and myself did a little errand before going to sasha's for a tiny bit where we put the at this performance sign i stole on nick's door, ad some popsicles, then went to mostly sondheim.
Mostly sondheim was so much fun and i had missed not being there for a whole month! kate was doing something else so it was just brian and todd and todd had people try out to be his co-host and i got to at one point which was super fun and even marty and sasha sang much to my delight! and when i was recounting the awkwardness of god looking down during the show brian started to play god is watching us (from a distance) which sasha and i were like thats what we were singing the whole time! then finally i needed to go home and get some sleep since i was doing some driving for a roadtrip!
when i got home i had an incredibly hard time getting my rain boots off... i mean we are talking my feet ended up swelling so they didnt want to come out and my poor heels were so tender from the boots.... so much pain... but by morning the feet werent swllen anymore which was nice, but they still hurt a bit.
at one point during the day i made heather's birthday card

Day 165/365 (January 30, 2009)
so i went to Brooklyn to see the final dress rehearsal of Thoroughly Modern Millie at The Gallery Players to see Megan's fabulous costuming skills. The show was really great and i was super impressed by some of the performers, especially the actress playing Millie. It was interesting watching Megan taking notes and the fact that two actors put their dresses on backwards! Unfortunately during Act Two i started to feel really sick in my tummy and had no idea why. After the show ended Megan asked me what i was doing after the show and i couldnt even pretend to be offended that she would ask what i was doing after something that ended well after 10 pm on a friday night. So i told her i was going to Mostly Sondheim. That however didn't happen.
As i rode the subway there i started feeling worse and right before the stop i needed to get off at for Mostly Sondheim i started to feel the pain pass through my whole body and start to get really bad and that is when the white and fuzzies started to come which meant i was about to faint. So i threw myself down between my knees until the feeling had passed and was thank-full i hadnt just finted. I was afraid it would happen again so i made this note on my phone and put it as my wall paper.
Luckily i did make it home safely (though i did almost faint again when transferring trains). i set everything down and then the toilet became my friend for the rest of the night. It was not fun.

Day 156/365 (January 21, 2009)
I headed down to meet Megan and we ate dinner at Subway before heading over to the Upright Citizen's Brigade theater to see Seth in Suddenly Seth. We must all remember that i can be an evil person and i don't like it when i dont get my own way... especially when i had been waiting along time to ensure i was one of the first people inside. When i got there there were like 3 people in front of me, but i was ok with that because i hadn't gotten there first and i realized they were related to him, so duh they get first preference... but then tons of people started coming inside (instead of us waiting outside where the line was supposed to be) and it was becoming quite chaotic and i was no longer in the front of the line... this caused me great stress... so when i went to pick up my tickets i asked if it was ok that we are all waiting in the hallway and not outside (knowing the answer) and he said it was a fire hazard and everyone would have to leave... so as i made my way upstairs and took my place at the front of the line outside everyone was kicked out and had to get behind me.... haha sweet victory, dont mess with me!
I didnt sit in the front like i wanted since kayla, emily, and megan didnt want to we sat in the second row... which later on turned out to be a good thing! Seth's show was really funny and i am glad i chose seeing that over Pay What You Can Day at Altar Boyz even though it kinda hurt knowing how many of my friends were there without me, but i see Altar Boyz alot and i missed the only other performance of this to see Altar Boyz, so i made the right choice! After Seth's show was over this comedian guy had his turn... we should have left but we were like we paid for it, why not stay? Seriously he was not funny and i was tortured and even thought about leaving at one point but didnt want him to bring that fact into his "act" so i stayed and rolled my eyes.... i am srry your stories about being high and all your addictions are not funny! This is why it was good i was not in the front row! As we were leaving we ran into Brian and Gallagher on the street outside and it was funny because they said they had just gotten trouble for standing there quietly... apparently (according to UCBT) there are little old ladies that live around there that have a vendetta against them.
Then i left and headed over to NWS to meet up with everyone as they were leaving boyz, and it was nice to see so many of my friends there, and some unexpected ones, and david even saw the show! Then we all parted ways and i left and hung out with Mikey... we went and spent some time over at Matthew's where Mackenzie and Zuri were also at, but we ended up leaving shortly thereafter because we wanted Jamba Juice. So Mikey and i left and i finally tried one of the secret jambas... white gummi which actually tasted like a white gummi bear. Then we spent some time in Virgin and walked to Penn Station and i waited with him until his train boarded and it was just lots of fun!

Day 64/365 (October 21, 2008)
There are a very limited number of things, people, or activities that can make me truly happy… as in not “temporary happiness” but actual lasting happiness for a period of time even under extreme unhappy situations. The list total might be 5 or even less.I can say for certain that The Spring Standards are on that list. This is the reason I do things like take vacation days to go see them wherever I can or take a NJ Transit train for an hour and go to Grand Central to take a train that is almost 90 minutes to see them in Bridgeport, CT on a work night…. Then rush out and catch an 11:59 train and come home and barely get 4 hours of sleep. (Rock on Two Boots). I am so tired at work right now but really thinking about the show last night and the time with Megan just keeps a smile on my face!
I have always found music to be stress-relieving and enjoyable. It is something I could not live without. I am so happy I stumbled upon this band because their music is at the top of my list. Seeing them perform live is also an experience that can’t be duplicated, and I am so glad it has led me to some great people… including my partner in crime for this trip Megan.
They are also some of the nicest people ever and I am so happy for all the success that has come their way! So thanks S.S. Funship for making me happy! Keep on rockin’ on!
