Day 361/365 (August 14, 2009)

ok so the bulk of my day began after i uploaded a bunch of my pictures to facebook. I headed to the first apple store (14th st) and picked up my computer that thankfully didnt lose any data, then i began walking hardcore! i was looking for a particular place and despite having my phone that started to not cooperate just for this the should have been 10 minute walk took close to an hour and by the end i no longer cared about why i was trying to get there and i just wanted to find it!

after i realized i had lots of time to kill and it would make no sense to go home because by the time i got there i would just have to turn back around basically to get to the theater i was going to. so instead i walked to find where i was going later since i am so directionally challenged but it turns out it didnt help.  then i headed up to the second apple store (59th and 5th) and picked up the headphones. then i chatted with jordan on the phone for a while to plan for her arrival here soon and boy oh boy i was so very hot in my jeans at this point.

i took the subway back to where the theater was and when i got off of it even though i had been there not long before i couldnt find where i was going without major help (yay phone finally kicking in to work) but until then i was once again reminded of my theory that i should figure out what my gut instinct is and then go in the opposite direction because 98% of the time my gut instinct is wrong!

i was unnerved to see how many people were already waiting in line for Vote! The Musical when i got there which was pretty early in general though late for me, but very excited and pleased to find jennifer and jo ann in line so that meant i didnt have to see the show by myself and we were able to talk and catch up :D

we also spotted joe (whom i met in the n2n rush line back in june) rushing down the street and i texted him to see if it was him and he came back and i went back outside at the point to say hi and see how he was.

my thoughts on Vote! The musical:

i had gone to see it for two reasons (i had seen some of the songs performed when i went to vote or die a while back and i thought they were just fabulous and catchy, and landon (and morgan k.) were in it. the people in it were all really good for the most part but unfortunately there were some really bad sound issues like the mics just not working or my favorite the loud and lengthy JKLDK noise that lasted enough in the beginning to not be able to hear quite a bit of the song that was going on.i really liked most of the songs and they were quite catchy and there were a few things from the book that i liked. one in particular but sadly i couldnt remember it by the end of the show (why does my memory not retain things so easily). i laughed a bit with a few snorts and it was nice to see landon on stage again! bailey hanks was perfectly spunky and morgan k. was delightful in his crazy presidential aspiration way! i thought the person who played the other candidate and the teacher were quite fab. i do have some criticisms of the show but i enjoyed myself quite a bit and knew that it was a Fringe Festival show going in so that gave it some wiggle room in the place it was at. so congrats!

on my way home i stopped in path mark to buy some groceries and well every line was practically half way up every aisle! well it would seem the people in the express line with me were very angry shoppers! i understand it sucks that the lines are always like that and you want to bond over your unhappiness while waiting in line to pass the time but you shouldnt take it out on management with anger. you need to do it in a more constructive way! anywho i came home and was very happy to put my PJs on and get the internet i pay for to actually work for a change.

i am also annoyed by the child outside who is growling like a crazy person nonstop!

this picture is from the 59th and 5th apple store while emerging up the elevator and i need an idea for what my last picture will be and that is wicked soon!!!! and the other is from the inside of the "playbill"
