Day 223/365 (February 25, 2015)

Baby watch continues! It was another long day at work that was also filled with double bay watch! A coworker's wife ended up giving birth to their daughter and Ania finally had little Josef Arthur Aleksander who is adorable!

After work I forced myself to the gym where I was greeted by extra-over enthusiastic employees because their store manager was there and I was so proud of myself... I went crazy on the elliptical!

I had a carrot that looked like a Kinky Boot and as soon as I got home and sat down Charlie was on top of me!

Day 222/365 (February 24, 2015)

It was a long day at work, but got lots done! I also spent the day on baby watch... Ania went into labor... still waiting!

Then I came home and didn't do too much except watch TV, hang with the kitties, and make a birthday card for someone. I was pretty proud of how it turned out!

I love waking up to Fred and Charlie cuddled with me, and Charlie was being extra cute.

Also during the day I got two random texts that just made me super happy! The first was from Travis telling me that after I had left training last night one of the other trainers told him they could see how much stronger I have gotten. The place I go is very small and the clients are usually different but there is usually the same group of other trainers there so it is nice to get some outside validation!

The other text I got was from MKC saying that Clark had noticed and pointed out pictures of me on FB so he just wanted to tell me he thought I looked awesome an was really happy for me. Considering I just got back to a place of feeling good about myself again I have been a little shaky and to see something like that is something that helps keep me focused to remember why I started to make these life changes. I like to feel good about myself, an feel good internally/health wise. I really hate feeling crappy and sludgy and I love food I really do but certain foods are not worth the yucky feeling they give on the inside.  But back to the point it was nice to hear that from him and then catch up a bit.

Day 221/365 (February 23, 2015)

Work, training

I also feel really good about myself health wise right now which is nice.

At one point I shut Charlie in the fridge because he climbed in... and I forgot he was there. About 10 minutes later we heard weird noises and I was like I forgot him! I let him out and Karen was like "and you like her the best?!"  he didn't care. He also made a weird noise before then like he was trying to yawn. it was a mix between a meow and a long creaky squeak.

Day 220/365 (February 22, 2015)

I was productive!

I did laundry, got myself to the gym, went to the cake store and trader joe's. I even popped in NWS to find out of the Green Room would be open on Sunday.

Then I watched the Oscar's with Karen and Sasha since I was outvoted... man they lasted forever!

We also tried to torture Charlie with a banana but it didn't work.

I found a fun street art on my errand run about kitties, and Fred was extra cute today and Charlie tried to eat my hair.

Day 219/365 (February 21, 2015)

The day turned out to be not as fun as I was expecting since Lola didn't come over. I sent the entire day cuddling with Fred and Charlie and watching tv. I also refrained from baking because I was trying to spare Karen... But it's night time and I'm bored and want to go output don't have anyone to go out with nor do I have a plan.

Fred is holding vigil by the food bowls saying feed us we are starving... there isn't enough food to completely cover the bottom of the dish.

Day 218/365 (February 20, 2015)

So very cold, had a so-so jenny appointment thanks to my poor eating choices. I also need to choose a new wallpaper for my home and lock screens because my Paris photos don't seem to fit Beth's personality.

Then super busy at work and off to the gym because I have no choice so I can start feeling better!

Came home and just needed some time by myself... Watched scandal in the dark with Fred and Charlie and it was wonderful

Day 217/365 (February 19, 2015)

Spent an awfully long time at work and got a new iPhone (I went with the 6) and finally decided to name her Beth. She is beautiful and wonderful even if I spent forever trying to get the apps sorted out!

I got myself to the gym and also fought the urge to consume more sugar while at work.

Fred cuddled with me as I fell asleep and that made me happy... At one point I had to disturb poor Charlie because he was lying so close to me his body weight was making my blankets cut off my circulation. He had to move so I could adjust myself.

Day 216/365 (February 18, 2015)

I went to work and while there finally finished listening to the Serial podcast.While there I went down a rabbit hole of eating sweets from a client gift that hadn't been opened since it arrived in early December. I opened it when I realized there was a dead pear in there and then went crazy.... I am disappointed in myself but not at the same time... why do I keep self sabotaging?

I did get myself to the gym for a bit... no where near enough to make up for my disaster but I felt better!

Then I went home and got myself ready to meet up with Kim. We went to go see this musician she enjoys (Kiernan McMullan) all the way down in Chinatown. He was pretty enjoyable and very nice then I made the bad life choice to try Vanessa's dumplings... I ate like 17... The scale is not going to be pretty on Friday! Also we had photobooth fun!

Day 215/365 (February 17, 2015)

I spent the majority of the day in New Rochelle with the cousins. I worked remotely and Penny was not pleased. She spent a great deal of time glaring at me like "get that computer off your lap and cuddle/pet me" It also snowed for a bit. Dennis made us pancakes which I ate too many of, then I finally went to Trader Joe's and made my way back into the city. As I was driving and listening to a song sung by KDM I got some sad news about the ABz reunion concert and was crushed. When I got home I turned to cookie butter. Charlie passed out in front of the space heater.

Eventually I got ready and headed out to 54 Below to see Kate Rockwell do her solo show. I loved it so much. She is so talented and pretty funny too! I think my favorite moment was when she ended up playing "diva tag" sort of with the song "And I'm Telling You" from Dreamgirls. Justin Matthew Sargent  joined her and they kept trading off (though rehearsed" and he has an insane voice so it was fierce! I also really loved a medley she had that ranged from les miz to phantom to cats. It was also nice running into some people I haven't seen in a while that were in BIO so that was fun! (Sheldon, Nikki, and Taylor).

I also met Vanessa Ray (Blue Bloods) who was there to support Kate and she was so super nice. I know she has been on Broadway but I never saw her on anything but I do love me some Blue Bloods). I tool a picture and chatted with her a bit... really just super sweet!

Day 214/365 (February 16, 2015)

I spent the morning on a crepe bender... i ate so many wonderful ones! My favorite was the fluffernutter. I also went to the Laurie Beechman Theatre for the first time in forever to se Broadway Sings for Canines for Kids. It was a cute event and I went because Ravi was in it... he was wonderful and Emily McNamara hosted it... It was nice/weird seeing her at a regular hour! Matthew James Thomas was also there with his adorable dog. He and this girl sang Love Song from Pippin and all I Could think was "you are not KDM" and I have heard 3 others sing it besides him and I didn't have an issue so interesting, Then I headed out to New Rochelle to stay with the cousins for the night because there was a need last minute. I got there and Clare was watching Castle. Then Winnie and Dennis joined... it was funny listening to their remarks like "don't do that you're going to get in trouble and hinder the investigation!" Penny was also super happy to see me and kept putting her paws on my shoulder to stare into my eyes.

Day 213/365 (February 15, 2015)

Stayed inside our frigid apartment all day... beyond freezing but still better than the below zero temperatures outside! Fred and Charlie stayed curled up with me most of the day and I resisted ordering both Thai food and pizza! I still ate poorly but ya know.

Day 212/365 (February 14, 2015)

Jess arrived super early so yay! I spent the day staying warm and having fun with Lola. I helped her with her thank you cards and bookmarks for the kids in her class. I was taking a picture of her working on them and she caught me and said "no pictures while I'm working" and then Karen was vacuuming and she put her hands on her ears and said "I can't concentrate." Then later on I pulled out our window markers when I thought about them and she and I had fun making pictures on the mirrors. She asked me all hurt like "why didn't you tell me about these before Tamra?" and i was like I forgot we had them. She ended up with green all over her hands from clean up and I was like you look like Elphaba and she asked who that was and I told her a wicked witch. I didn't know if she had seen the wizard of oz or knew about wicked. Then she said she knew of a wicked witch she is in wicked.... i was like well she is a Broadway baby! She also wanted to know why we still had snowflakes hanging up and didn't replace them with hearts.

Jess also told us about a "cat trap" where if you make a circle on the floor with tape cats will sit in it like a box... it worked!

I also made crepes that were wonderful!

Later I left to help Jess with Hedwig lotto an thankfully she got a ticket! Then I met up with Ben for dinner at Cosi before we went to see Jersey Boys thanks to Jordan Roth's twitter contest. I was treated like royalty. we were greeted by 3 different people, including the house manager, who called me by name and thanked us for being there on behalf of Jordan. We were given drink tickets and chocolate roses and the absolute best seats in the house in my opinion. It was truly a wonderful evening. I have always heard that Jordan is a stand-up guy but this was my first experience and he went above and beyond and I just can't get over how wonderful the evening was. The added bonus was I finally saw Jersey boys and can cross that off my dirty musical theatre secrets for not having seen it. I really enjoyed it and would love to see it again. Then after Ben and I went backstage because his friend Quinn offered to take us so we took a few pictures on stage and chatted for a bit.... definitely the cherry on top of it all!

Day 211/365 (February 13, 2015)

When I got home from work I began making red velvet cupcakes for a few different reasons. I tried a new recipe that was pretty good but much more complicated than the one I usually use and not really any better. I decorated them very simply except for the ones I was sending to Carly. I dyed the frosting black and sprinkled red disco dust on them so they would be Chicago colored. I delivered them to her and it was beyond freezing. It hurt to breathe it was so cold! I also delivered some to our new neighbor to welcome her to the building, She seems very nice so that is great!

I also won Jordan Roth's Twitter contest for 2 tickets to any Jujamcyn show on Valentine's day... many would think me foolish for not choosing a free ticket to The Book of Mormon but I haven't seen Jersey Boys and that is what I really wanted to see.

It is also so cold the kitties have been wrapping themselves up in blankets... look at Fred :)
