Day 134/365 (December 30, 2008)

Mary convinced me to go to the second Spring Awakening Holiday caoncert at Joe's Pub even though it was super late at night. I am really glad she did because not only was it a fun outing for mary, jo ann, mike, and myself but we were treated to some great performances. The very end they sang Song of Purple Summer and Emma started crying... it made me think of everything that has happened in my life because of Spring Awakening and i am beyond greatful and somewhat sad that it is ending very soon, more sad then i thought i would be... oy!

Day 133/365 (December 29, 2008)

On the subway this is a good sign telling us all not to litter, but they fail at the end!
“Subway Litter is recycled after collection. Thank you for your contribution.” makes it seems like they are thanking us for littering! You fail!

Day 132/365 (December 28, 2008)

Fred has some seriously frightening light coming from his eyes!

Day 131/365 (December 27, 2008)

This is the opening curtain for How The Grinch Stole Christmas… I had wanted to see it when it was in NY the last two years but never got around to it, I finally did in Boston. The show was cute and little Cindy Lou Who was a showstopper! Girl has a future ahead of her for 100% certain! AKB was a great young Max.

Day 130/365 (December 26, 2008)

This is buddy… they don’t call them sad puppy dog eyes for nothing… I stopped playing with him for 5 seconds and this is what I found on my leg gazing up at me! (Cosuin Becky's dog)

Day 129/365 (December 25, 2008)

Saw this on way to cousins to play games… poor Frosty had no body!

Day 128/365 (December 24, 2008)

Christmas Eve… in MA… with the family… stress beyond belief but I am always happy to see my kitty, and surprisingly he has been very lovey dovey with me this trip… it makes me smile!
It is a holiday I am allowed to cheat! Here is my cousin Becky and her daughter Tessa. We did a Christmas Eve celebration at her house tonight… it went pretty well and it is kind of crazy to see my cousin as a true adult. We are only two weeks apart and yet I feel like she is more grown up than me with her own home, a great guy, and child. I think the greatest/craziest thing of the evening was hearing her say “I want to do this again every year to give her a tradition to be used to, I remember always going over to Tammy’s every Christmas Eve and having shrimp and I want her to have something to.”

Day 127/365 (December 23, 2008)

It was well after midnight, and I was sleepy with lots of sugar in my system… I got my hat, and found my belt which I had taken off earlier in the night, and put it on so I wouldn’t lose it… I would not say this was the best fashion choice, but it amused me greatly!
This is another cheat day… this is my cousin Leilani who has been glued to my hip since I have been here

Day 126/365 (December 22, 2008)

Sasha, Matthew, and Nick had a House warming/Christmas Party and it was so much fun having everyone all there together and in a loopy mood, at one point we all got really sleepy, and we were hiding from the “Italians” who out ran us from the living room so we crashed on Sasha’s bed.

Day 125/365 (December 21, 2008)

Jake had a birthday dinner… he chose Vinyl. I have walked by this so many times and never been in… how wrong was I? His dinner was just a really fun night with great people even if we are crazy cats! The décor inside the place is beyond hip… I hear the bathrooms are awesome as well. This was the center of our table, each table was different and the menu had different album vinyls as its cover. Mine was Dreamgirls.

Day 124/365 (December 20, 2008)

Emma truly is a beautiful cat, and her tail just looks so funny compared to the rest of her body.

Day 123/365 (December 19, 2008)

This is a shot of what the back of our door looks like… it is beyond out of control… but the benefit? That hangy piece isn’t there anymore and Emma uses it as a cat door to come and go as she pleases!

Day 122/365 (December 18, 2008)

I got a voice mail from Krysta whilst on the subway that said “call me as soon as you get this.” That is never a good thing… it turns out that Annie (Backup) did not like being in the bathroom by herself, so she decided to let herself out… lacking opposable thumbs our bathroom door was sacrificed, I nicknamed the day “Terror in 1F.” This is the full view of the mess that was the bathroom.

Day 121/365 (December 17, 2008)

This is Annie, renamed Backup, we took her in so she wouldn’t be murdered… such a sweet playful puppy.

Day 120/365 (December 16, 2008)

It began to snow and this was my attempt to stop being a Grinch and get into the spirit! (it didn’t really work, I still despise that which I once loved.)

Day 119/365 (December 15, 2008)

GuyTunes: Christmas Hams! I was so excited for this because well I love me some Christmas music, and well I love me some past and present Altar Boyz. As it turned out I also love me some other guy that wasn’t ever in Altar Boyz. Justin Keyes, Nick Blaemire, and Joey Khoury put on such a wonderful show with amazing tunes and funny quips. They truly were Christmas Hams… This was the only excellent group shot I got of them that night. It was also nice to see Tara again after ages and see What Christmas Is performed… LOL!

Day 118/365 (December 14, 2008)

Altarholic Appreciation Day!!!! Or as I ended up calling it My Epic Day of ABz. The events of the day were AA Day where we made ornaments for their dressing room Christmas Tree. (I made their holiday name tags… I get a little crazy when doing arts and crafts… my apologies). Then the matinee show, then there was a talk back with many of the creatives about the “genesis of the Altar Boyz” and there were performances of cut scenes and songs from the show. Then there was the evening show, then I raced over to Broadway Sings For Toys that had many different performers… including those hard working Altar Boyz!!!!

I cheated with two pictures today because well I couldn’t decide. The first is the Altar Boyz stage lighted to set the mood (and BC/EFA Christmas tunes were piped through the sound system). This is what they did last year and I was hoping they would do it again, so I am quite pleased they did. The other is my picture with the finished Christmas Tree. This ended up being one of my favorite photos of the day because it was just me trying to get a shot with the tree and when I got home and looked at the photos I saw Neil poking through the “window.” I think it was a good representation of the fun and unexpectedness of the day!

Day 117/365 (December 13, 2008)

It is funny Grace is from California, but I don’t think of her as a tourist… even though she technically is. We decided to be tourists and go see the tree in Rockefeller Center… I am glad we did because it is always an incredible sight to behold, but man oh man is it crazy mayhem and way TOO many people! I took lots of different fun pictures (including my current wallpaper on my phone) but this turned out to be the most interesting because that green little tree/bush thing was saying “I may not be tall and huge and have tons of sparkly crystals upon me, but I can upstage that tree any day!”

Day 116/365 (December 12, 2008)

On the way into the Duplex for Mostly Sondheim… or walking around somewhere (my how soon we forget I need to do this more often) I passed by these Christmas trees and they smell so wonderful… I would have to say that the smell of pine trees in the winter is one of my most favorite things. I find myself stopping whenever I pass by a bunch of them just to breathe it in.

Day 115/365 (December 11, 2008)

I decided I should make Grace’s bed a day early since we would be getting back in so late the next night, and Fred decided he needed to tuck himself into “his” bed.

Day 114/365 (December 10, 2008)

Emma says play with me please… I like to play fetch! So I did!

Day 113/365 (December 9, 2008)

After Frisco Verdes project we went to Birdland for The Cast Party to see the Altar Boyz perform one of my “new” favorite songs Leading The Way. (It is actually a cut song from the show, but I only recently heard it for the first time a month ago). We were there late, and when we finally left it was slightly after midnight (thus counting) and Karolina needed to tie her shoes, and her location amused me hardcore… haha!

Day 112/365 (December 8, 2008)

We met in Starbucks to work on our Frisco Verdes Project… here that is what we are doing but it looks like she is working on wedding stuff thanks to well-placed wedding planning stuff.

Day 111/365 (December 7, 2008)

I spent the day watching Charmed (on TV) and cuddling partially with Emma who felt the need to groom.

Day 110/365 (December 6, 2008)

A 10 year old looking thumb sucker really? Bad parenting right there, don’t let him cuddle up with you to snooze tell him to take his thumb out of his mouth!

Day 109/365 (December 5, 2008)

I just can’t enough of Fred and his cute self!

Friday, December 5, 2008

Day 108/365 (December 4, 2008)

I am so multi-talented I can play with the kitty and take an awesome shot of him playing.

Day 107/365 (December 3, 2008)

I do love going to see Altar Boyz. Glad I went because even though it was a small crowd it was still a fun show and the fact that they still played as if it was a full house is proof of how great each of them are as actors. Austin was on as Matthew and Joey as Juan… They didn’t offer to do full cast photos for BC/EFA after so I asked Austin if we could take a quick picture.

Day 106/365 (December 2, 2008)

Frisco Verdes is a pretty “new” band that I have been enjoying lately. So this is my iPhone shot of them playing at the Sidewalk Café.

Day 105/365 (December 1, 2008)

Fred and Emma are crafty buggers and stop playing with each other as soon as a camera comes out… this is the best I have been able to do so far.

Day 104/365 (November 30, 2008)

Krysta and I both like to bake… but the difference is I take the stuff out the apartment and she leaves it here… so we are forced to eat much yummy-goodness… so not healthy but soooo very yummy.

Day 103/365 (November 29, 2008)

Megan, Emily, and I had been missing The Spring Standards and they were playing in Washington DC… Sasha very nicely lent us Squirt her little bug to go there. The actual show was great, and a good part of the trip was fun… especially rocking out to some new and older tunes… the killer traffic and terrible lostness in DC however was a nightmare… but I love squirt and them!

As a fun aside at one point we drove past Farragut St (or Ave or whatever it was) and it made me smile.

Day 102/365 (November 28, 2008)

My little cousin Dennis likes to take my phone from me and take random pictures… today was a photo shoot of me, and this was the funniest/most clear picture he took… give him some slack he is only 5!

Day 101/365 (November 27, 2008)

Thanksgiving! At first I was more than a little sad when I realized several of my family members would in fact be celebrating in New Rochelle, and I was going to miss being with them… but I had already made plans and thought it would be unfair to cancel on them. I am so happy that Krysta and I hosted the Thanksgiving Festivities. It turned out to be a really amazing day filled with friendship and good laughs. This was a picture taken on self timer of us… and we set it up in the freezer for this vantage point and that amuses me… I had only gingerale... no yucky champagne!

Day 100/365 (November 26, 2008)

OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I made it to 100, I might not post every day but I certainly think about this everyday and I am very proud of myself… here is a picture of our refrigerator and freezer in preparation for Thanksgiving… this is (and probably will be) the most food we have ever had in our refrigerator!

Day 99/365 (November 25, 2008)

I got to see Farragut North for a second and final time… and this time Sasha came along. I enjoyed it just as much this time and was very pleased that Sasha actually liked it as well :D I had Olivia sign my Kidnapped DVDs and Gallagher said he was tired because he is involved in a workshop right now. This is the picture I meant to take the first time I saw it but forgot.

Day 98/365 (November 24, 2008)

So I was waiting for the subway and I saw this person with Emily’s bag, and it amused me so I was all stealth about it.

I love how everything is blurry except the bag!

Day 97/365 (November 23, 2008)

Fred!!!! Fred likes to ride on my back… I don’t know why but I find it funny, so I let him.

Day 96/365 (November 22, 2008)

Marty was in a show, so Sasha, Myself, and one of their other friends went to go see it. It was a very um interesting thing… Marty did very good but I thought the entire book was kind of torture… the most enjoyable thing was reading the cast bios… sorry!

I also jumped like a fool after when Karolina shared her engagment news with me!

Day 95/365 (November 21, 2008)

I was walking home from the subway and this poor bus stop had shattered glass, but I thought it looked really nifty how it was sparkling in the light… sometimes there is beauty in destruction even if it is a terrible thing.

Day 94/365 (November 20, 2008)

I saw Hairspray for free thanks to NYMF and my becoming a member… seriously it was the smartest thing I did! Anywho this is Constantine who plays Link Larkin… he wasn’t my favorite but he was very good and well pretty cute :D

Day 93/365 (November 19, 2008)

What can I say? I had the most amazing birthday this year, and I felt so much love from all my friends that came out to celebrate with me that day (and the day before). You guys will never know how much you each mean to me… this is one of the group shots we got from the night after ABz had ended and we migrated to the Lounge, where my roommate and some others may have conspired against me, but there was song, and birthday cake, and lots of fun pictures!

Friday, November 21, 2008

Day 92/365 (November 18, 2008)

Danger of not using your camera at a fun function... not having a group picture to show for it.

This Tuesday we had dinner at the eatery to celebrate my birthday and it was just a nice time with good friends. I was given really pretty flowers and coupled with the crown t was like i had won a pageant... so here i am pretending to have just been crowned, holding my flowers as the voice of william shatner sings She's beauty and she's grace, she's Miss United States (haha LOL)

Day 91/365 (November 17, 2008)

It is hard to see Emma, but Krysta was flanked by Kitties... it was super cute!

Day 90/365 (November 16, 2008)

This is a picture i took of the stage... it would have been better but i couldn't very well ask the two in front of me to please sit so i could take a better picture of the stage now could i? I placed the image of the poster on the picture for a better identifier.

Let me just tell you how much i loved this PLAY! I waited at the Atlantic (and surrounding area) for forever! At five minutes before "curtain" I was able to get a rush seat... 4th row, not to far away from the center. It was seriously the perfect seat... i walked in and my first thought was i love the set design! I don't like plays very much, and i certainly am not into politics! i mean in college i could have gotten a political science minor with all the law classes i took, but since i refused to take any political core requirements that was not a possibility.

My basic expectation for this play was that i would be bored out of my mind, but at least i would get to see Gallagher in a new role. I thought Port Authority was well done, but i also know i could not have seen it more than once, let alone the 4 times i did, if he were not in the cast.

I have never enjoyed a play like this before. It ended with my feeling excited, something i never thought possible for a play. Each actor did a superb job, and the way the set worked was really all kinds of awesome, and i loved the "edgy" scene transitions. I wanted to see it again that night (but i already had plans) and i fully plan on seeing it again, this time with Sasha in tow.

I love "evil" characters and manipulation and that was so this show. There were two characters that executed this brilliantly. One was out in the open, and the other completely underhanded. You didn't realize how truly manipulating the character of Tom was until he revealed himself... and then there was Stephen who went completely crazy when his whole world unraveled and he took everyone down with him that he could. Yes this was a great show!

there were only two things i would change:

1. Gallagher's character name... the name itself was fine, but the nickname they kept using well i just don't like it, and it bothered me to hear

2. At first i thought that Chris Noth's character was the presidential hopeful, which i just didn't buy. A little later i realized that he was just another higher up person on the campaign team, and then everything he did/said made perfect sense.

As a random note: i don't have a picture with Gallagher because i still don't feel the need to. How can one want another picture when you already have the perfect picture from 10 months ago?

Day 89/365 (November 15, 2008)

I was on a crown hunt to kill time before i saw Shrek... this store had chairs outside with this sign and i found it more than amusing!

Day 88/365 (November 14, 2008)

You know what is great about seeing shows that people are in after they have left another show? if you go to a first preview performance of that new show you run into all the people you met from that original show... in this case Spring Awakening.

I found out i was going to see the new show that Jonathan Groff is in called Prayer For My Enemy... and within 24 hours realized a bunch of people i knew would also be there... and of course ran into some others there too.

I took this picture with him because well i liked his hair?! idk if that is a good enough reason but i still like it.
and it is nice to know i am not the only one who never gets a new coat :)
