Day 128/365 (December 24, 2008)
It is a holiday I am allowed to cheat! Here is my cousin Becky and her daughter Tessa. We did a Christmas Eve celebration at her house tonight… it went pretty well and it is kind of crazy to see my cousin as a true adult. We are only two weeks apart and yet I feel like she is more grown up than me with her own home, a great guy, and child. I think the greatest/craziest thing of the evening was hearing her say “I want to do this again every year to give her a tradition to be used to, I remember always going over to Tammy’s every Christmas Eve and having shrimp and I want her to have something to.”
Day 127/365 (December 23, 2008)
It was well after midnight, and I was sleepy with lots of sugar in my system… I got my hat, and found my belt which I had taken off earlier in the night, and put it on so I wouldn’t lose it… I would not say this was the best fashion choice, but it amused me greatly!
This is another cheat day… this is my cousin Leilani who has been glued to my hip since I have been here

I cheated with two pictures today because well I couldn’t decide. The first is the Altar Boyz stage lighted to set the mood (and BC/EFA Christmas tunes were piped through the sound system). This is what they did last year and I was hoping they would do it again, so I am quite pleased they did. The other is my picture with the finished Christmas Tree. This ended up being one of my favorite photos of the day because it was just me trying to get a shot with the tree and when I got home and looked at the photos I saw Neil poking through the “window.” I think it was a good representation of the fun and unexpectedness of the day!

This Tuesday we had dinner at the eatery to celebrate my birthday and it was just a nice time with good friends. I was given really pretty flowers and coupled with the crown t was like i had won a pageant... so here i am pretending to have just been crowned, holding my flowers as the voice of william shatner sings She's beauty and she's grace, she's Miss United States (haha LOL)

Day 90/365 (November 16, 2008)

Let me just tell you how much i loved this PLAY! I waited at the Atlantic (and surrounding area) for forever! At five minutes before "curtain" I was able to get a rush seat... 4th row, not to far away from the center. It was seriously the perfect seat... i walked in and my first thought was i love the set design! I don't like plays very much, and i certainly am not into politics! i mean in college i could have gotten a political science minor with all the law classes i took, but since i refused to take any political core requirements that was not a possibility.
My basic expectation for this play was that i would be bored out of my mind, but at least i would get to see Gallagher in a new role. I thought Port Authority was well done, but i also know i could not have seen it more than once, let alone the 4 times i did, if he were not in the cast.
I have never enjoyed a play like this before. It ended with my feeling excited, something i never thought possible for a play. Each actor did a superb job, and the way the set worked was really all kinds of awesome, and i loved the "edgy" scene transitions. I wanted to see it again that night (but i already had plans) and i fully plan on seeing it again, this time with Sasha in tow.
I love "evil" characters and manipulation and that was so this show. There were two characters that executed this brilliantly. One was out in the open, and the other completely underhanded. You didn't realize how truly manipulating the character of Tom was until he revealed himself... and then there was Stephen who went completely crazy when his whole world unraveled and he took everyone down with him that he could. Yes this was a great show!
there were only two things i would change:
1. Gallagher's character name... the name itself was fine, but the nickname they kept using well i just don't like it, and it bothered me to hear
2. At first i thought that Chris Noth's character was the presidential hopeful, which i just didn't buy. A little later i realized that he was just another higher up person on the campaign team, and then everything he did/said made perfect sense.
As a random note: i don't have a picture with Gallagher because i still don't feel the need to. How can one want another picture when you already have the perfect picture from 10 months ago?
Day 89/365 (November 15, 2008)
Day 88/365 (November 14, 2008)
You know what is great about seeing shows that people are in after they have left another show? if you go to a first preview performance of that new show you run into all the people you met from that original show... in this case Spring Awakening.
I found out i was going to see the new show that Jonathan Groff is in called Prayer For My Enemy... and within 24 hours realized a bunch of people i knew would also be there... and of course ran into some others there too.
I took this picture with him because well i liked his hair?! idk if that is a good enough reason but i still like it.
and it is nice to know i am not the only one who never gets a new coat :)
