Day 347/365 (July 31, 2009)

I have no idea what i did the first part of the day any more or what prevented me from updating then, but i do know towards the later part in the day i received this horrible wound that looked worse in person from Tucker and i reached my breaking point with him. He wont play nice with me i just wont go anywhere near him. This is the day i meant to delete a song from a playlist and accidentally deleted the whole playlist! so i cant connect phone to computer until i use my phone to recreate the playlist as was because i have that list set to automatically synch when connected and i would be sad if i was missing it since its one of my most used playlists

i feel like i made an outing of some sort before coming home and getting ready but can't be too sure. Anywho i made my way to mostly sondheim and was surprised to find Austin there as well, and of course dom. it took forever until they let us in but once they did it was one of the funnier nights for sure. i was brought to tears at one point by quite a funny discussion. Marty Thomas and Emily McNamara were the hosts and once again John Bronson was taking care of the piano (with a few hours notice this time!) They had a completely new staff and the waiter was a little too attentive for my liking but it was his first night. there was a guy who sang Part of Your World in Hebrew and a couple of boys tried and failed beyond all misery to sing Totally Fucked. There were quite the amount of single straight men that also sang... an often novelty there... haha. i even ended up signing the bitch of living (what?) by the end of the night (including all of our hosts) there were like only 8 or 9 people in the room which made for unusual fun... and i was requested to make satan's balls for another birthday party (i must get supplies). i also got complimented on my outfit twice which i always appreciate :D it was my AB jeans and the purple shirt i had bought before i went to TX. Also how did i almost forget the ongoing bump-it. you know that stupid hair thing well emily kept putting all sorts of things in her hair to pretend it was a bump-it such as a CD display case, a red bull can, and a tamborine to name a few!

i would also like to say it is nice coming home to pip because he is so excited to see you that he is a little ball of energy running around because he just cant contain that much excitement in his little body.

Day 346/365 (July 30, 2009)

it was quite a morning with emma curled up on one side of me and pip on the other side of me. pip loves attention and is not afraid of plopping himself in front of you for some belly rubs... but unfortunately for him i am cranky in the morning if i dont get to do some quality cuddly petting time with emma so after a few moments of moving him to my other side he learned :D  my atomic clock decided it was going to be thirty minutes behind when it was supposed to so i ended up being very late to meet up with chris in bryant par.

at the subway entrance i ran into mike and we headed down together and found chris holding lovely seats for us even though bryant park was a swamp because of the rainfall that had happened yesterday! my new flip flops ended up looking ancient and i got a sunburn on my face that looks like i applied to much red blush! broadway in bryant park this week was by far the worst of the weeks i have seen. the shows were naked boys singing (which i have never had a desire to see and after seeing this i know for sure i wont ever see it... LAME!) chicago (which was just dull and lackluster which is unfortunate) jersey boys (yea i love the mucis but it was just eh to see everyone sing it and i dont understand why every ensemble members name was read and they dont do that for the other shows such as shrek or the other ones i have seen this year, not fair!) and shrek. shrek had the potential to be awesome but not so much. the best part of the day by far was haven getting to sing for Fiona in I Know It's Today. she sounded amazing and was rocking some shrek ears with a tiara. (hard to see but that is her on the far left). unfrtunately having that be the first song that was sung made the rest of the day torture since ya know it was just bad. i mean Freak Flag had the potential to be awesome the song is great and the choreography they di was fun and funky but this is BROADWAY in bryant park not lip synch in bryant park. even though i know they had at least 7 hand held mics since that is how many naked boys had, only 3 people had mics to use.so john tartaglia and two others actually sang their parts live but the others were forced to li[ synch over themselves and well i felt it totally detracted from the enjoyment of the performance because part of the magic of broadway is the live singing part!

anywho after i headed home and made a pitstop at the store to pick up a few food items and came home and tucker and pip were playing along so nicely it was amazing!

eventually i went out to meet joey and we went to composer exposure part of the SPF festival (it was free) and they had cocktails for us also i ended up with a yummy prickly pear something or other... and we ran into Lil and Emily!

we got lovely seats and it was an enjoyable show even if the host was just terrible! i wish i had a recorder for all of the songs! one notable cute one was by the composers of taylor the latte boy. it was a song about "love" in the big city but it was so funny, omg! and my favorite was this song about two people trying to talk to each other on cell phones about their relationship but due to a bad signal it resulted in ther break up, really i wish i had a copy of that!

then after joey and i went to karaoke at the lounge and when we got there i discovered the escalator was working... for the first time in several months! i was really shocked! we headed downstairs and it was pretty much dead. i sang walk away thou and we stayed for a tiny bit before heading ut. however chris was back so it was nice to say hello.

i had thought i was just going to walk to 72nd street instead of having to transfer from the local to express since it was nice out, but right before i got to 59th st i was so overcome with exhaustion that i felt like iw as going to fall asleep where i stood so i just hopped on the subway there.

at some point during the day i finished reading harry potter and the deathly hallows and was quite pleased with this. i cant believe how much i had forgotten had happened in it, and all the stuff i did remember.

when i got home watched tv for a bit and went to go to sleep... however i would discover that it would not be so easy. i walked in and saw lots of poo on my floor! some was pip's knocked off from the wee pad and a big pile that was clearEly from tucker. so i cleaned up the yuck and thought i was done until i discovered emma had puked on my floor by the bed. so i cleaned that up and as i was leaving the room to throw that stuff out i stepped in dried tucker pee! so i cleaned that i was so furious because i was so tired and it seemed like every time i thought i had finished i had found more! but then i was finally done and the room didnt smeel anymore once i got rid of all that yuck and i was able to go to sleep!

Day 321/365 (July 5, 2009)

my day started out really weird.  i had originally planned on getting up at 10:30 so i had time to get ready and chill before heading out to brooklyn but i couldnt bring myself to get up until 12, which is when i was originally planning on leaving! i had the most unusual experience that freaked me out a little... i got a phone call and asked who was and the person answered your father but i knew it wasnt him since A. he died a few years ago and B it sounded like my cousin alyssa. anyways as i was thinking about why alyssa was calling me since i didnt think she had my number and well she never has before my alarm went off and i realized i had never been on the phone instead it was a dream the whole time that just felt real. it freaked me out so much i had to ask krysta if something that happened earlier was real or a dream... it was real at least!

i eventually headed out to brooklyn to megan's apartment and got their even quicker than i expected, and not much later than i originally intended! on the way there i began re-reading harry potter and the half-blood prince... i didnt get far before the dude next to me saw what i was reading and engaged me in conversation about the books and movies and i kept thinking dude can't you see i am trying to read but was unable to tell him because i felt bad.

the time atmegan's was lots of fun we ate bagels, and chips and salsa while playing harry potter scene it, balderdash, and rock band. i got booed of the stage my first time playing but did much better the next attempt! and i learned that i should know wesley snipes better since he is snipes not snipe, emily is cornish pixie intuitive, and laura and i were both a little crazy. it was really a great afternoon of fun and good peeps... then on the way home i took my own discovered non-hop stop way and it got me home wicked fast compared to what hopstop had told me, so that was pretty exciting! i also discovered a unicyclist on 141 and ACP... it amused greatly, especially when he was forced to stop for a light and i was able to get this picture!

i decided also that i need to try to be in better spirits and stuff during the week so i need to do things that will try to prevent me from slipping into a not good emotional state as i seem so prone to do lately. this weekend really rejuvenated my spirits and i dont want to jeopardize that!

Day 319/365 (July 3, 2009)

the emotional downpour continued and have been watching lots of tv and eating too much i am sure. i really need to get myself out of this funk man. i mean i'm not usually this consistently dumpy and unfortunately it seems to get even worse after i have a little bit of fun such as last night...  this is a picture of krysta and her broken tooth, i took it on our way home last night well after midnight so its the most interesting picture of the day...

i did dishes and drank a whole bunch of root beer... and anyone who actually knows me (at least in the last 7-ish years) i dont really drink soda and when i do it almost never is anything except gingerale! yea so not good signs, uh-uh no way! sleeping on the new monsterous height of a bed was really comfy and alot easier to get down from than on!

went to mostly sondheim with hope and emily mcnamara was a guest host... she really is awesome! and this guy Josh Walden was also the host and he was so talented and funny!
Colleen ended up coming there too and the night was filled with many LOL moments and i got up and sang and get this they said i sounded really good! not the usual good jobv they said i actually sounded really good and when i was like really they said yes... including colleen! so well i was feeling pretty good! and jeffery and cole sang suddenly seymour... it was high quality entertanment and danny pintauro (who's the boss) sang sweet transvestite and was uber bubbly and stuff... another guy sang dont cry for me argentina in spanish... and cute waiter was working! (Adam)

Day 273/365 (May 18, 2009)

the day began with me waking up to emma next to me, and then some time with tucker... biy can he pee! eventually i left to go see the taping of jimmy fallon. it was not as fun as last time and one of the guests angered me, and JF did a tiny bit. but yea afterwards i met up with the birthday girl (emily). we decided to eat at blockheads and had to wait forever for a table but we got one and it was yummy and then we sat in the courtyard talking forever before moving down to TOL's open mic night. we stayed there for a couple of hours then it was time to go home, where i let tucker out for a run and he must of emptied his weight in pee... on my floor!

main reasons it wasnt as fun the wrist band they put on me cut off my circulation, and my friend was super late and i got a crummy seat, and well i think the house band for fallon is stupid and lame!

but the reason i was angered was because one of the segments was jimmy and his guest simon baker (total cutie, that amused me very much, perhaps i will watch the mentalist) "surfing" on this moonwalk blown up type surfing thing and they both got on the board together at one point and JF was like this isnt too gay is it? so that angered me a tiny bit, but then the next guest came one Carly whatever her name is from watchman and the broadway play desire under the elms... yea havent seen either of those... andwho when she came out she was like dont worry you guys are man enough to pull that off... i am sorry does that mean she was implying people who are gay are not man enough because i mean rude right... so i basically hated her whole segment because i spent the time being outraged that she said something like that! then the "band" was like method man or red man or both idk and well they are not exactly good so yea next time i hope for good guests

Day 264/365 (May 9. 2009)

this was kind of a day i just needed really badly. I had so much fun during the week but i was just on the go ya know?  well after we all woke up (yay for my first dose of real sleep in a while, and sending dawn on her way back home sadly) i ate a little "breakfast" with ewa before giving her directions and sending her on her way. then i spent some time relaxing before i headed over to the Trump Tower apartments on the East Side. It was a trek but so worth it!

I was the first to arrive at Hope's boss' apartment and we hung for a bit while playing with Erin's Wii. I still felt like my right arm was missing without having my camera to take a picture of the amazing view! We played some American Idol KAraoke Revolution, then played Smarty Pants for a bit... i dont like that game! Eventually Emily arrived, and with my supplies she was able to add her final touch to the thesis cake she made Megan... i ended up with that colorful tongue because of it... i call it tongue art.

Megan arrived an then Erin came... Hope ordered pizza, i brought pretzles, and chips and salsa, megan brought soda and stuff and then the fun began! i ate sooooo much stuff and had sooooo much fun playing karaoke idol for quite a few hours! eventually we finished it up by watching the last half hour of the traitor justin timberlake hosting SNL which i didnt find funny at all, but i was with my friends so i didnt mind.

then i walked all the way across the island practically to the subway and went home and slept. i was very happy ewa didnt mind me staying with my friends instead of meeting her right after she saw 9 to 5... she is a good cousin!

Day 249/365 (April 24, 2009)

The day started off pretty hum drum, but then things picked up! Emily texted me to say she had time to kill and she was in the courtyard and i should come meet her. I was already meeting Krysta in that general area a little while later so i figured i should head down early.

I took one of the fastest showers i have ever taken and packed tucker's doggie bag before heading out. I got to the courtyard and then emily and i began our hour plus long walk around hell's kitchen since i knew we couldnt stay in the courtyard because they don't allow dogs. Emily learned the power of tucker and how people just stop to say how cute he is, and pet him, and take pictures of him. She also held him almost the whole time which is no easy task since he is 5.5 pounds. Then finally we snuck to the courtyard to sit for a tiny bit and cradled him so security wouldnt notice... and thankfully they didnt!

Then i walked up to the columbus circle area to meet krysta at the vet office for tucker to get some shots. Since i was no longer meeting with Kim and Susie i just stayed there and ended up chatting with the front office guy and he was super nice. Finally when we left it was decided i would take tucker home because krysta wanted to go see a movie (and strangely this was the first time i ever brought him back home.)  I think my favorite tucker story is right before we parted ways i was like tucker hasnt gone to the bathroom since before we left the apt, and just then he started doing his i have to pee whimper. We set him down, and this man saw him and literally stopped then walked over and bent down to pet him. he was stopped when he saw the stream coming, but then krysta wiped him down... but it was just finny to see him brought over like a magnet.

It was such a beautiful day and i really didnt mind holding tucker and i just didnt feel like going in the subway yet, so i decided i was just going to walk to 72nd street so i didnt have to transfer from the 1 to the 2 or 3. As i was walking i realized how close i was to my aunt's apartment and knew she would ant to meet puppy so i gave her a call and met up with her. We ended up getting some very yummy pinkberry that i havent had in way too long and she was all sorts of in love with tucker!

Finally i headed home because i needed to set him down and he needed to run around a bit, which he did with mr. fred. Krysta came home and we talked about the happenings since we parted ways and then i headed out to Mostly Sondheim.

This week Titus Burgess was helping Kate and Brian host MS and it was just an interesting night to say the least. I sat at a table and then these two random strangers sat down with me, which was very welcomed so i wasnt at a table by myself. we got to chatting and they were from Tokyo and here to see as many of the new shows this season they could. They ended up asking if i could take a picture with them which means my head was inflated because of my star power (haha) the night was fun and i even got up the guts to sing (Good Morning Baltimore) and i love how friendly the crowd always is there and helpful in my hard time following the music, and i they gave me some awesome back up vocals... defiantely the favorite time i have ever had the guts to sing because it was just so much fun! i lvoe the MS... i just think i maybe shouldnt go as much because of how late i stay up then i pay for it on saturday... but i wont stop because i have too much fun and hopefully sasha will come next week!

Day 229/365 (April 4, 2009)

A day of happiness!

So i woke up wicked early because a stupid alarm went off that i had to turn off... then i got a phone call and ended up with only 5 hours of sleep for the day ahead which did not please me, but there was nothing i could do. after i got ready i packed my bag since i was wearing "driving pants" and then i went to meet megan at 125th st. after a little stop in dunkin donuts and getting 6 donuts for $3 i met megan and we hoped the M60 towards laguardia to get to enterprise for our rental car. The people that helped us were the same ones that did last year when we went with kitten... glad they didnt remember us!

we had reserved a teeny tiny car but they gave us a bigger one and i really loved it and i was the first renter of it because they said they just put the plates on it today! Megan and i then went and picked emily up then circled around to get laura.... and the fun began!

there is nothing i enjoy better than a roadtrip with some of my most favorite people and it was funny because we all brought music playing options (yay for me having the double ended cable so we could use the aux jack i was hoping the car would and did have) then we were like directions... good thing laura printed them off since my phone was misbehaving!

i got a little road rage being stuck at a toll and found a creepy drunk guy that followed us in westport but we eventually found the place, got some food and went back. the other bands were very good and it was just happiness times alot seeing the spring standards play and whatnot. since it was heather's birthday we brought a card and megan made some yummy goodness... surprisingly i gave up baking responsibilities which shocked me greatly! after we got "puff paint" t-shirts that heather decorated and thankfully mine made it back unharmed! though the shirt started with some minor stain on it.

we dropped laura and megan off at the subway and emily and i begun our interesting journey returning the car... ps i cant lie and am not good at coming up with quick answers to cover stories.... yes please remember this for the future people!

eventually i got him and sleep was nice... oh earlier i had put away my laundry and made my bed so i was able to sleep in my bed since the night before i had to sleep on the couch because i never put laundry away or made my bed from my trip to new rochelle.

ps by the end of the trip i had consumed 4.5 of the donuts... i didnt feel so good in the end!

Day 156/365 (January 21, 2009)

This turned out to be a pretty fun day!

I headed down to meet Megan and we ate dinner at Subway before heading over to the Upright Citizen's Brigade theater to see Seth in Suddenly Seth. We must all remember that i can be an evil person and i don't like it when i dont get my own way... especially when i had been waiting along time to ensure i was one of the first people inside. When i got there there were like 3 people in front of me, but i was ok with that because i hadn't gotten there first and i realized they were related to him, so duh they get first preference... but then tons of people started coming inside (instead of us waiting outside where the line was supposed to be) and it was becoming quite chaotic and i was no longer in the front of the line... this caused me great stress... so when i went to pick up my tickets i asked if it was ok that we are all waiting in the hallway and not outside (knowing the answer) and he said it was a fire hazard and everyone would have to leave... so as i made my way upstairs and took my place at the front of the line outside everyone was kicked out and had to get behind me.... haha sweet victory, dont mess with me!

I didnt sit in the front like i wanted since kayla, emily, and megan didnt want to we sat in the second row... which later on turned out to be a good thing! Seth's show was really funny and i am glad i chose seeing that over Pay What You Can Day at Altar Boyz even though it kinda hurt knowing how many of my friends were there without me, but i see Altar Boyz alot and i missed the only other performance of this to see Altar Boyz, so i made the right choice! After Seth's show was over this comedian guy had his turn... we should have left but we were like we paid for it, why not stay? Seriously he was not funny and i was tortured and even thought about leaving at one point but didnt want him to bring that fact into his "act" so i stayed and rolled my eyes.... i am srry your stories about being high and all your addictions are not funny! This is why it was good i was not in the front row! As we were leaving we ran into Brian and Gallagher on the street outside and it was funny because they said they had just gotten trouble for standing there quietly... apparently (according to UCBT) there are little old ladies that live around there that have a vendetta against them.

Then i left and headed over to NWS to meet up with everyone as they were leaving boyz, and it was nice to see so many of my friends there, and some unexpected ones, and david even saw the show! Then we all parted ways and i left and hung out with Mikey... we went and spent some time over at Matthew's where Mackenzie and Zuri were also at, but we ended up leaving shortly thereafter because we wanted Jamba Juice. So Mikey and i left and i finally tried one of the secret jambas... white gummi which actually tasted like a white gummi bear. Then we spent some time in Virgin and walked to Penn Station and i waited with him until his train boarded and it was just lots of fun!

Day 137/365 (January 2, 2009)

There is no better way to start the year than getting together with some great friends (megan, emily, hope, and laura) and seeing The Spring Standards play in NY! Seriously i am always happy whenever i see them play and am so thankful for all the wonderful people i have met at their shows. 2009 is off to such a great start!

Day 103/365 (November 29, 2008)

Megan, Emily, and I had been missing The Spring Standards and they were playing in Washington DC… Sasha very nicely lent us Squirt her little bug to go there. The actual show was great, and a good part of the trip was fun… especially rocking out to some new and older tunes… the killer traffic and terrible lostness in DC however was a nightmare… but I love squirt and them!

As a fun aside at one point we drove past Farragut St (or Ave or whatever it was) and it made me smile.
