Day 12/365 (July 29, 2014)
After work I went to help Lindz out with the Kinky Boots lottery, and Penski came to help... good thing too because her name was called! Then Lindz walked with me over to the Broadway Theatre stage door so I could make a "first night cookie delivery" to Neil in CInderella. The stage door is right across the street from the Letterman stage door and Chris Pratt was out there taking pictures with fans. I didn't really know who he was but he was cute and it was pretty easy to get a pic, so I did. I IMDBed him after... I had seen him in Bride Wars and Moneyball... but still fun.
Then I came home and did laundry and made dinner and cleaned some stuff off the DVR.

Day 11/365 (July 28, 2014)
It was a long day! I got up early to pick Lindz up from JFK. Driving to the airport at the hour wasn't the smartest but it was fun. I did end up driving for 3.5 hours before getting to work and only having gone like 34 miles. Then i went to work where I ended up staying far too late and thankfully Travis was able to push back our session since I would have missed it otherwise.
Training was good except I felt so out of shape and didn't function at my usual capacity. AFterwards I came home and baked some cinderella themed M&M cookies, showered, and then headed out to meet CHris. He was in town to see Heathers and then we just walked around midtown for a while. As were were walking this drunk couple came up to us and asked us if we were dating. We said no, and the guy was like but you look so good together you should be dating. He then asked if he could take a picture of us with my phone and we were like no, then he was like could you take a picture of us with your phone. We did then ditched them... so see the crazy people above from somewhere I think may have been the corner of 47th and 9th.

Day 10/365 (July 27, 2014)
It was an early start getting ready for Samantha's Baby Shower. It was a lovely brunch and so nice to share it with her. At the shower they had something I had never seen before which was diapers and sharpies so you could write a message t make Sam and/or Mike smile at as they are changing diapers at all hours of the day.
Once the shower was over I headed back on my long road trip back. There was so much traffic so it took a couple hours longer than it should have. I like driving and rocking out to my music so it wasn't so bad.
Then after I got home and unpacked I got ready to head out t celebrate Ryan and Richard's wedding. IT was a lovely evening and they also did something I had never seen before. Instead of having a traditional guest book they had everyone leave their thumbprint as leaves on a tree. I thought it was a really sweet idea, or a good way to frame someone for a crime!
Day 9/365 (July 26, 2014)
Today was a long one. Started the day with my cousins then I
headed out for some errands. I went to Target, Michael’s, Babies r Us, TJ Maxx,
and Trader Joe’s. I found most of what I needed and then headed to my moms.
Alyssa (and Miguel) brought over their very tiny son.
He is 10 pounds of adorableness. I held him for a really
long time before heading over to my Uncle’s to celebrate another cousin’s 10th
birthday. It was sweet the 10 year old made a birthday cake for her mom (they
share the same day) and my 5 year old cousin made the birthday cake for my 10
year old cousin… baking runs in the family! Later came back to my moms and
spent some time with the baby again and I got to feed him J
Then ran some more errands that my mom needed and ended up
at Kimball Farms which has the best ice cream in the history of existence. I
ate way too much and feel slightly ill but I almost never have it, so I am okay
with it… that is a small by the way!
I am writing this in word and can’t post until later since
my mom never has wifi so I can’t connect to the internet. This time it is
technically set up but no one can tell me what the network name is and so many
pop up, le sigh!

Day 8/365 (July 25, 2014)
My cousin Samantha is having a baby shower on Sunday so I had to come to Massachusetts for it. Thankfully Sasha let me use her car and I was able to head out on a super fun roadtrip by myself this morning. Traffic wasn't bad at all once I got out of Manhattan and I basically spent the whole trip singing at the top of my lungs. My throat is sore now but worth it!
I came early because I stored a whole bunch of my stuff in cousin's attic ages ago and they need to have some work done up there so she needed me to go through my things and take some stuff, toss some stuff, and make sure everything left would be protected when they get chemicals sprayed up there. It was like taking a trip down memory lane. Some of the stuff was great to see again like a baby book (look that's me) and some of the many games I owned. Sadly i had to toss quite a few games because of their condition. I am also concerned because I thought things lie my college diploma and both high school and college senior yearbooks were here, but they weren't and that means I have no idea where they are which makes me sad. I loved Carmen Sandiego stuff so much! Then there is that slide kit which i was so into! When we had to move from the hosue I grew up in so much of my stuff got scattered to different places and some of it was not protected carefully. The result of this is most of my childhood stuff is gone and it feels like I lost everything in a fire, so it was nice to find a few of these things have still survived.
My cousin Maureen has two children Ryan and Katie. Ryan is away at camp so Katie got to have a movie night with some of her friends. There was pizza, popcorn, and candy a plenty! We watched The Princess Diaries. It was nice to have the chance to catch up with them since I don't get to see them too often.

Day 7/365 (July 24, 2014)
Today was lovely. I spent the morning in Bryant Park for Broadway in Bryant Park since Zach Braff was performing with Bullets Over Broadway. Ran into someone i knew so that made the time fly!
I headed to the office for a bit then popped into the M&M store to get a certain color mix for cookies I am making next week, then came home and baked some cupcakes. I realized as I was cleaning up that I forgot to add the milk to the batter so the cupcakes came out a bit dryer and denser than I would like but they are still tasty nonetheless and the frosting is heavenly! They are cherry lime-aid flavored. Most of them were frosted sky high with a cherry on top but i made these special for someone.
Then Whitney and I went out for dinner since I won't be here when she goes back home, and after she went to her show I painted a glass vase. I had a crafty idea but due to the nature of the paint my vase didnt turn out so well because of what i was trying to accomplish... oh well, the next one will turn out great!

Day 6/365 (July 23, 2014)
Day started out with work, then after I headed down to the gym to work out before my training session. It was 88* feels like 95* out when i was walking there... i thought i was going to die!
After the gym and training I usually go to dance class on Wednesdays but because it was so incredibly hot out and the AC doesn't usually work in the dance studio I decided that I shouldn't go, so i went to Trader Joe's and picked up a few things including some delicious watermelon, and yellow tomatoes fr Sasha. Only on my way to TJs i popped into the new Michael's for the third time this week, it is going to be a problem!
Earlier in the day i made a list of tasks have to accomplish over the next couple of days. i am nothing f not over organized! The night was spent completing my Wednesday tasks and watching Big Brother with the roomies :)
I also prepped my bag to occupy me tomorrow in Bryant park and Charlie tried to pack himself.

Day 5/365 (July 22, 2014)
Today was filled with the usual House watching and work... but then after work I ran into Penski on my way home and had a lovely chat for quite sometime. Then Sasha and I headed to Michael's for a card crafting demonstration which was a failure. The person didn't really know what she was demonstrating. Then we came home and I baked some blueberry muffins... yum!
I also used the new die-cutter/embosser tool that Karen won from Michael's grand opening to make a really cool card!

Day 4/365 (July 21, 2014)
These two places have become so important in my life. If you had told me a year ago I would enjoy going to the gym and working out I would have told you how crazy you were! Today after work I headed down to blink to warmup before my hour of personal training where I worked my lower body until I had a hard time walking. I end up in so much pain but it is worth it for how good I have been feeling about myself!
Later in the evening while hanging on the couch with the roomies and Whitney who has been staying with us for a few days she told us about a show called American Ninja Warriors. Apparently its been on for ages and it is so fun to watch people use their crazy human strength to beast through these obstacle courses, or at least try to!

Day 3/365 (July 20, 2014)
Today was a pretty big day... Michael's opened a store in Chelsea. So close! They had a whole big grand opening and Sasha, Karen, and I got there an hour beforehand. We were 10-12 in line and they gave us each a $10 gift card as we entered! They took the first person in line and let her cute the ribbon, and had these guys dressed up as crayons, and yarn, and a painter's palette and they seemed to be enjoying themselves.
We shopped like crazy and got some really fun arts and crafts things they had as door busters. Then when we all got home our living room was overcome by our crafty supplies while we organized and sorted. I made a card for someone and later in the day baked some banana bread and cut up a gigantic watermelon.
I also started watching House on Netflix a while ago. At first i was rewatching the show because i watched it when it first aired but only until season 6 and I lost interest. I am now a third of the way through season 8 so its been nice to see "new" episodes. I don't like the direction of the show as much in this last season but am invested in seeing how it all plays out and getting some closure. The character of Dr. House (not this season) is I think a favorite of mine, i love his snark and determination.

Day 2/365 (July 19, 2014)
The day before I went to Union Square to see Wish I Was Here. SInce I got out of the movie at 1:30 in the morning I decided to take the subway back home. Normally Times Square is a place I avoid as much as people. It is so overcroweded and filled with creepy furry knockoffs. It is rare to experience the magic I once felt in it, but every so often it happens. I emerged from the subway and it was not very crowded and allowed me the chance to really appreciate the beauty and magic of the place. I never thought growing up that I would not only live in NYC, but that I would live just a block away from this place I had seen in so many movies and TV shows.
Later in the day I went to Central Park on a whim and just walked around. I think Central Park is beautiful but I always get so lost and turned around in there. Today was just roaming and I decided to play the role of a tourist. I rode in the carousal, stumbled up the statue of Balto the Sled Dog, and the Bethesda Fountain. It was such a beautiful day and I am happy that I took advantage of that.

I'm Baaaaaaaack!!!! Day 1/365 (July 18, 2014)
People have been doing #100happydays and this photo a day blog has really been on my mind lately. The other day i felt like looking through all of these posts and although I do not like my writing style it was so great to see a wonderful snapshot of my life. I have decided that it is time to try this again. Like last time I will post (at least one) photo each day (or at least a post for a photo each day. I am starting with yesterday's date.
It isn't possible to know me and not know that I love Zach Braff. I mean besides the fact that I think he is adorable and a wonderful actor he is a very talented writer and director. He had this crazy idea to use kickstarter to fund a movie that he and his brother had written. I decided to back it immediately because I knew this would be something special. The best part of being a backer meant we got to be included in all the steps of making this movie. He sent out updates on every aspect of what it takes to take a film from script to reality and offered the chance to feel like you were truly a part of the process.
One part of my reward was the chance to watch an early screening of the movie on my own computer. Sadly i wasn't able to because it was last weekend when I was knee deep in Karolina's baby shower. I was sad i missed the chance to see it early until after I saw it last night. I was inside a room filled to capacity with other supporters of Zach and I forgot what it was like to watch a movie with other people that are that invested in it as well. It was fun to hear the laughter and that heartfelt gasps from those around me. I don't want to give spoilers but i would recommend seeing this movie. I'm not married and I am not a parent but the emotions and themes throughout were ones that I could relate to and there were three separate times that i teared up. He (and his brother) have a way of writing these incredibly insightful one liners that seem so profound you just connect to them and think "how could you have figured this out when you are not that much older than I am" The cast was also truly fantastic, especially the children. He also doesn't wrap everything up in a perfect "clean" way as he puts it, which I think lends to the credibility of the piece.
The best part of seeing the movie was that he was going to do a Q and A afterwards. He came right after he finished his night performance of Bullets and then spent 45 minutes with us answering questions until like 1:30 in the morning, even though he had two shows the next day followed by another Q and A session after tonight's showing. He did not have to take that much time with us and share as much information as he did. It was great to hear his thought process behind everything. He also complimented me on my shirt (we were both wearing the backer t-shirt) so of course that made me quite pleased!
I really don't go see movies in theaters very often, this is probably my one movie for the year and I could not be happier with it as my choice. I look forward to it being released on DVD!
