Day 346/365 (June 28, 2015)
the day started out slow and ended up confusing but lovely in the end. It was rainy so that eliminated most options. I almost want with Sasha and Karen to Maine for the day but when I realized they were planing on being gone all day and not just a few hours I didn't want to leave my mom alone for that long and also miss out on cousin fun. Unfortunately that turned the day into a bit of a disaster at first because by the time I realized that I missed the chance to go on the train ride with the cousins and got stuck in the unit for quite some time. I did go up to watch the train pass by, which caused people to stare at me standing in the rain waiting for the train to come, but then the cousins came back and we headed to the pool. Spent more time in the outdoor hot tub which was even stranger since it was raining.
Then after we all came back and met up again with Sasha and Karen then we went to eat at a restaurant. It was pretty cool because they had a play room for kids! They messed up my order though so my meal turned out to be a disaster. I ordered a burger and sweet potato fries. The fries came out perfect but the burger was far too pink for me to eat, so the waitress took my whole plate and when she brought it back she proudly exclaimed we gave you fresh fries. The thing is the burger was so-so and the replacement fries were burnt so i couldn't really eat them, but didn't want to send those back too.The only good thing was the discovery of the grilled avocado with a corn tomato thing on top.
Then we all headed back to the unit for the night.

Day 273/365 (April 16, 2015)
After work I headed out to New Rochelle. I decided to walk to Paula and Ted's from the train station. The walk is not bad at all except you run out of sidewalk pretty early on so I was risking my life and getting all kinds of yuck in my boots. Also by the Larchmont train station there is a Thai restaurant named Durien... why would you name your food place after the worst tasting food?
I feel so sad for my cousins this sort of thing is terrible. It is made worse because it is always nice to see people you haven't seen in a while, but it is for a sad reason so you feel conflicted. I finally met Ted's brother that lives in San Diego. Patty, Auntie Margaret, and Uncle Dennis came up as did Mo and John. After everyone headed to the funeral home we stayed behind and cleaned everything up for them, then finally headed to the wake. Susan and Doug (Fleming) came and when I saw them I almost cried because it has been so long and I truly do miss them... and I won't lie hearing Doug call me "T" again made me have a flood of emotions. I really need to make more of an effort to see them.
Marya was also there... eventually I headed home for the night.

Day 215/365 (February 17, 2015)
Eventually I got ready and headed out to 54 Below to see Kate Rockwell do her solo show. I loved it so much. She is so talented and pretty funny too! I think my favorite moment was when she ended up playing "diva tag" sort of with the song "And I'm Telling You" from Dreamgirls. Justin Matthew Sargent joined her and they kept trading off (though rehearsed" and he has an insane voice so it was fierce! I also really loved a medley she had that ranged from les miz to phantom to cats. It was also nice running into some people I haven't seen in a while that were in BIO so that was fun! (Sheldon, Nikki, and Taylor).
I also met Vanessa Ray (Blue Bloods) who was there to support Kate and she was so super nice. I know she has been on Broadway but I never saw her on anything but I do love me some Blue Bloods). I tool a picture and chatted with her a bit... really just super sweet!

Day 214/365 (February 16, 2015)
I spent the morning on a crepe bender... i ate so many wonderful ones! My favorite was the fluffernutter. I also went to the Laurie Beechman Theatre for the first time in forever to se Broadway Sings for Canines for Kids. It was a cute event and I went because Ravi was in it... he was wonderful and Emily McNamara hosted it... It was nice/weird seeing her at a regular hour! Matthew James Thomas was also there with his adorable dog. He and this girl sang Love Song from Pippin and all I Could think was "you are not KDM" and I have heard 3 others sing it besides him and I didn't have an issue so interesting, Then I headed out to New Rochelle to stay with the cousins for the night because there was a need last minute. I got there and Clare was watching Castle. Then Winnie and Dennis joined... it was funny listening to their remarks like "don't do that you're going to get in trouble and hinder the investigation!" Penny was also super happy to see me and kept putting her paws on my shoulder to stare into my eyes.

Day 9/365 (July 26, 2014)
Today was a long one. Started the day with my cousins then I
headed out for some errands. I went to Target, Michael’s, Babies r Us, TJ Maxx,
and Trader Joe’s. I found most of what I needed and then headed to my moms.
Alyssa (and Miguel) brought over their very tiny son.
He is 10 pounds of adorableness. I held him for a really
long time before heading over to my Uncle’s to celebrate another cousin’s 10th
birthday. It was sweet the 10 year old made a birthday cake for her mom (they
share the same day) and my 5 year old cousin made the birthday cake for my 10
year old cousin… baking runs in the family! Later came back to my moms and
spent some time with the baby again and I got to feed him J
Then ran some more errands that my mom needed and ended up
at Kimball Farms which has the best ice cream in the history of existence. I
ate way too much and feel slightly ill but I almost never have it, so I am okay
with it… that is a small by the way!
I am writing this in word and can’t post until later since
my mom never has wifi so I can’t connect to the internet. This time it is
technically set up but no one can tell me what the network name is and so many
pop up, le sigh!

Day 8/365 (July 25, 2014)
My cousin Samantha is having a baby shower on Sunday so I had to come to Massachusetts for it. Thankfully Sasha let me use her car and I was able to head out on a super fun roadtrip by myself this morning. Traffic wasn't bad at all once I got out of Manhattan and I basically spent the whole trip singing at the top of my lungs. My throat is sore now but worth it!
I came early because I stored a whole bunch of my stuff in cousin's attic ages ago and they need to have some work done up there so she needed me to go through my things and take some stuff, toss some stuff, and make sure everything left would be protected when they get chemicals sprayed up there. It was like taking a trip down memory lane. Some of the stuff was great to see again like a baby book (look that's me) and some of the many games I owned. Sadly i had to toss quite a few games because of their condition. I am also concerned because I thought things lie my college diploma and both high school and college senior yearbooks were here, but they weren't and that means I have no idea where they are which makes me sad. I loved Carmen Sandiego stuff so much! Then there is that slide kit which i was so into! When we had to move from the hosue I grew up in so much of my stuff got scattered to different places and some of it was not protected carefully. The result of this is most of my childhood stuff is gone and it feels like I lost everything in a fire, so it was nice to find a few of these things have still survived.
My cousin Maureen has two children Ryan and Katie. Ryan is away at camp so Katie got to have a movie night with some of her friends. There was pizza, popcorn, and candy a plenty! We watched The Princess Diaries. It was nice to have the chance to catch up with them since I don't get to see them too often.

Day 310/365 (June 24, 2009)

it was a very long, but very much fun day! i woke up early to get ready to meet my cousins and walk Tucker. I left earlier than planned because paula had texted to say they were looking to get there earlier. i ended up getting there way earlier than i meant to and sat on a bench to read my book. ya know i lived over there for a year and never did that!
anywho i et up with my cousins Paula, and her clan... and also my cousin Mo and her kids. 3 adults, 5 children... phew!
we hopped the boat to liberty island and then we waited in line forever to get in... by the time we got to the observation decks of the pedastool it was raining! not hard but enough that my pants got soaked and i was slipping in my flip flops! that gave me quite the bit of stress. but we had lots of fun and then i left to go home.
i got home and went straight to the tub to clean my now extremely dirty feet from all the yuck of the streets on NY and then i washed my jean bottoms in the sink since they soaked up all that yucky water! then i took a much needed respite to re-gather myself and get pack my overnight bag to head to sasha's so i could get some more sleep before heading to rush for next to normal.
i got there about 11 and met with marty and fred. i laid down to try and get some sleep and then i got a text saying there were already people in the next to normal rush line... i thought about it and then away i went... not so much sleep, but at least i was close by and got a quick hello in.

Day 307/365 (June 21, 2009)
emma has been my cuddle buddy since i got back, especially today! she just kept curling up all cute like on me! anywho last night i actually got in bed before midnight and was asleep by 12:30ish which was monumental! this resulted in me waking up around 9!the morning started off quite nice with yogurt, and yummy sausage made by krysta. we watched way too much tv and all that jazz.
eventually i got myself together and headed to run an errand and meet up with the family. i met my cousins (paula, clare, and winnie, and their awesome Aunt Ming) at Vynl for lunch. it was nice hanging with them in "the city" and they enjoyed the food and restaurant, because duh it is amazing! clare and winnie kept going to check out all the bathrooms. then after we finished i escorted them over to see wicked, and then headed to the NWS box office to buy my AA Day ticket. then i went to the courtyard and read for a bit. while there i checked my twitter app and saw they were still looking for phone banking volunteers for the marriage equality bill in NY State. so i said i was willing to help. it was quite fun and kayla was there! (someone pointed out how humourous it was that everyone who was doing the phone banking were single and we were calling about marriage! the interesting thing was the day really turned out wonderful complete with clear blue skies and white fluffy clouds...
well as i was walking from the courtyard to the human rights campaign office it all of a sudden turned gray and not so pleasant looking. it began to rain just as i got the building (it was mere droplets when i went in). well i was in there we could see out the window the downpour that began... then just before i ended up leaving the rain stopped! i was able to get home without rain, and then when i got home it started opening up again! i was a pretty lucky girl for sure!
ended up having chinese food for dinner and feeding tucker more peach than i intended! i also worked on fixing the next to normal audio someone sent me and creating album art. i didnt fix the bad splicing, but i did put the songs in the correct order, AND give them all the same type of nomenclature. though i feel i should add a little something special to some onf them, but we will see if i ever do that. oh yea i also did a bunch of dishes...
also i woke up in the morning having the strangest dream... it was about my dad, which is kind of fitting on father's day EXCEPT in my dream my "dad" was kind of a non-formed being (as in i never saw him even though i was looking at and speaking with hom... and to make a long story short he told us we were moving to brooklyn and i in my dream i started to cry because i didnt want to move to brooklyn and i was freaking out about how long of a commute it would be to get back and forth from manhattan and brooklyn... then i woke up

Day 305/365 (June 19, 2009)

i got in and somehow got that almost 90 pound suitcase full of laundry up the stairs... i estimate it to weigh that much since that is what it weighed when i came back from SF and it was filled to the seems! then i said hello to emma (who has been all over me anytime i sit still... she missed me! even now as i type this she was just curled up on me, then moved to the side of my hand) then i said hello to tucker by taking him out for a walk,,, he was so excited to see me and perked up and when i took him out of his crate he was trying to wag his short stub of a tail and licking my face all over! i took him for a walk then eventually he ended back up in his crate because he wouldnt stop biting me.
anywho while outside i noticed the time (12:45) and was like oh i should enter the virtual line lotto for twelfth night (shakespeare) tonight, which meant i had to do it by 1... well by the time o got inside and turned my computer on i signed up for it around the 12:50 ish mark and waited, then i checked like 5 after and 1 and it said i had won them! so i called sasha up and of course she wanted to go!
i then spent the time watching tv (um luther was in an episode of the unusuals), eating lunch, and making myself presentable, also saw krysta for the first time since last thursday, and went on my way.
i was quite proud of myself for getting to the theater in the park on my own... like i didnt get lost either! fin-a-freakingly! after sasha made her way to the theater (some troubles) we got the most unusual pickles and pickled green beans that were yummy.
the show was actually pretty good for the most part, despite my uninterest of shakespeare. act two was certainly funnier than act one (well parts i should say) i thought everyone was great in the show (except julie white... i felt like she was acting and not actually her character). and some were superb. Anne Hathaway was absolute brilliance (and my reason for seeing the show). she carried it so well and the few times she got to sing can we focus on her gorgeous voice? The guy who played Sir Andrew (Hamish something) was the next best thing... he was so perfect as that character and at one point he (and anne) had me in tears from laughter. i had also never seen raul or audra in anything before but they did not disappoint... really casting was on point! and audra especially she really embodied olivia. sasha gave me cliff notes as the show went on to help me out. and the guy playing sebastian looked like anne from where we were sitting.
anywho after it was over we went to do the stage door thing, and to my complete happy surprise i found hope! so we all stood and chatted and totally fan girled when anne came out. i know i might seem " a fan girl" many a time but in all actual fan girlness there havent been that many OHMYGOD moments... Anne walking out was one of them (maybe 4 total fan girl moments). i was like OMG its anne hathaway and to make her even more rockstar she took the time to chat with everyone and take pictures AND sign autographs... when she was with us we were like you broadway musical, now! and she was like um ok write me one and i will do it! (if only!) yea i was so flustered that when i wnet to hand her my playbill to sign i handed her the camera because my brain just couldnt process life correctly at that moment... and she was all i cant take the picture of us (not in a diva way, but in a it wont work way)... anywho AMAZING!
we also spoke with audra, and had to move ourselves down the line again so we could get hamlish.... SO AWESOME! i was like i love him the whole show. then we asked about raul and was told he sneaks out pretty quickly after and we headed home... after an obnoxious train wait i came home and ate chips and fluff for dinner, yum, but not good at 1 in the morning!
anywho i am so happy i saw it and i need to see it at least one more time.... ANNE HATHAWAY!!!!

Day 304/365 (June 18, 2009)
RAIN RAIN RAIN! all today was was RAIN! so gloomy and miserable. my cousin dennis and i went to trader joe's and got some stuff, then we went to a yummy bagel place and had some breakfast.eventually came back to the house and did lots of hanging out with the cousins and also getting some personal space. i also did the catch up on this blog for the last 11 days of my slacking (oops)... rain makes for frustrated children man, but it was still a good day... i decided to hold off and go back home tomorrow since tomorrow is the only day in the forsee-able future that doesnt have rain predicted... so hopefully i can get home without a downpour!
ps i didnt do laundry today but did A TON while i was here!

Day 303/365 (June 17, 2009)
once again in new rochelle... i was going to go home but paula asked if i could stay another night because she could use my help, so i said yes! today they released the new updates for my iphone and well it was like christmas! i cant explain how happy they made me... we are talking copy and paste, text forwarding, landscape keyboard in texting/email, better fast forwarding/rewinding in itunes, the SEARCH feature, the voice memo, and s may other awesome things! i sent matthew this text because well i love him and i screen capped the copy option because it is my favorite of the updates!i would also like to point how how over the last several days i have been listening to next to normal whenever i get the chance (even play it while going to bed) and i just love the music so much! yea, wow, yea! i mean dennis can even sing parts of I'm Alive now!
also the cousins all love icanhascheezburger and get an insane kick out of them!
it should also be noted how upset i was at missing the spring standards in hobeken since the show sold out before i could buy a ticket... i ahvent seen them in ages and my heart is breaking more than a little because of it!

Day 302/365 (June 16, 2009)
it should also be noted during my time here in new rochelle i have been playing with their wii like crazy! and doing lots of baking... but today i helped clare finish decorating her cupcakes for her class party... she put some dye on her tongue... 'twas the result, so we remember my picture from a little while ago of tongue art? (http://mysticmeow.blogspot.com/2009/05/day-264365-may-9-2009.html) yea i was quite proud! but as a responsible adult i was all don't do that again blah blah blah!i also spent the morning at their schools talent show... it was two hours long... it was for the most part pretty torturous, but my cousins two acts were great and some of the other kids were good... some... not so much! but one little boy sang you raise me up acapella and well he sounded pretty great for a 3rd grader and i think his parents should put him in voice lessons!

another day in new rochelle... such fun... even if my little cousin insists on jumping on me, and trying to pick my nose, and well slap my bottom... the major activity of the day was shrinky dink making mayhem.... it was fun! i was obsessed with trying to recreate a butterfly someone else had made but in my color choices... this was the closet i came.also i baked some yummy banana bread

Day 276/365 (May 21, 2009)

Success! after how many weeks of trying i finally made it to a game of softball in the park!
i woke up on the early side and did my usual emma cuddle time, then got ready for the day. tucker and i left for central park to meet mark and got there right on schedule! I ran into neil which was nice and he showed us how to get to the field since well i suck with directions and got way lost last time! bumped into steph and carina, which was nice! the weather was perfect and we got a spot in the shade and were able to watch the game and chat and all that fun stuff... after tucker even went pee outside! he didnt walk as much as i would have liked him too but he did enough that he fell asleep on my lack the second i sat on the subway.
then i got home and got the last of my stuff together and said bye to emma and tucker and made my way to the train station, new rochelle bound. i received a very joyous welcome from my cousins and headed to their place. it was an enjoyable afternoon with the little ones watching a tiny bit of tv, reading, having yummy pizza, and playing games... phew let me tell you i played "kickball" and tag with my cousins and boy did i get a workout... i ran so much i got all itchy and sweaty and so red! but the proudest moment was when i outran my 6 year-old cousin dennis around the whole house because let me tell you that kid moves quick... so yea i was very pleased!
i also helped krysta through email which was difficult since she left her phone at work so she would email me and i would contact the different people through text and phone call then email her back! thankfully she was able to get her phone and it was not lost.
