Day 291/365 (May 4, 2015)

Got to work early and stayed for quite some time, then headed home to freshen up. It is a good thing i left for Long Island at 4, instead of 4:30. There was even more traffic than I had anticipated and it took me 2 hours and 26 minutes to get there! My average speed was like 18 miles per hour. I got there just about 6:30... so no time for dinner!

I went to Northport to see the Apollo Link concert. Thanks to a very nice theater employee, Todd, I was able to change my seat to front row center! Then Liz, the concession girl, was super nice and led me to yummy/bad decisions for my "dinner". I ran into JB III beforehand and he was like do you live on Long Island, and I was like nope! I didn't even know he knew me so that was funny.

The woman I ended up sitting next to was fun and a talker but she was a singer! She started to sing along and it was made worse because during the show they kept encouraging people to sing along! Then all around me were... ahhh!!!!! The concert itself was really pretty awesome. I can't wait to see it again next Monday because they will have ironed out the few kinks. Brandon kept promoting their swag which was pretty funny and I just cannot get over how ridiculous they all sound. Jake is an arrangement genius, and his use of a tuning fork became an ongoing thing, and Adam's voice just makes me want to throw things... so good! There was another boy by me that also got his seat to move up and he was into the concert like cray so that was nice to see.

After the show I chatted with them for a bit before heading off to Target! First I had to wait for the car because the theater had required free valet parking. I gave them my ticket and there was a sign that said it could take up to 15 minutes to get the car. 20 minutes later I was still waiting and realized the car was right out front. It had been there the whole time because no cars drove up and I asked again for the "key" and they were like oh sorry.

Then I headed off to Target and picked up a few needed things, then headed home. It is so nice being in a car by yourself. I was singing along loudly and car dancing and I just love road trips when there is no traffic. However I always end up with a sore throat after one.

Day 270/365 (May 15, 2009)

crazy day! so i got minimal sleep (but good sleep) and then i woke up and diane and i embarked on our trip... we left behind schedule but that is ok... we left at 7 and after a long roadtrip that resulted in almost 8 hours of me singing and a short stop for gas and food we made it to our hotel a little after 4. i got to play rock DJ... oh yea!

i unpacked then i fell asleep for a bit, then showered and got presentable.

funny observation there is a bank i need to get a picture of called fifth third bank... but here is the thing above it it says 5/3 which should be pronounced five thirds... epic fail if you ask me! there wwere so many horses we passed by and my throat got a little hoarse from all the singing, but it was so much fun and we barely hit any traffic.

we had some dinner at Panera then went to the Palace Theater... it was nice to see it again and we were seated by the usher because here they have to escort you to our seat. we were right in the front row and the show was just awesome. he sang some many songs and had a great band backing him and a great musical guest (jeanette). it was just good music by a talented guy (woot woot Ryan J. Ratliff). we made nice nice with the random woman beside us and i got to throw underwear up on stage during its not unusual... i wish i had screamed oh my god so much louder than i had, but the frilly yellow and floral undies were hilarious!

the show was recorded live for a CD so of course i preordered that bad boy! afterwards we all went to the Tin Duck which was a cute local tavern that had lice music playing... though we were away from the bands but heard their music. we chatted and it was fun... however i got a drink called the reverend (or the rev for short) and well it didnt taste it but boy was it strong...i i am at this point a little intoxicated but proudly didnt proclaim my life story... instead i just failed at flirting with a cute boy, told someone they had really pretty eyes (which is totally true) and may have used someone for balance at one point... the worst part/best (who knows) is i cant help but think my father would be quite proud of me right now... you know i created so many rules for myself growing up and live by them and some are good some i dont know why i am such a stick in the mud but i am kinda glad i stepped off of my high horse on this one because well there is nothing wrong with fun when in the company of people you trust, and i might be saying things i dont mean to, but i still have control over my physical actions so it is all good right? free! but here is the thing i only had two... and phew have only been like this one other time before... may 6, 2008... matthew knows what that was! (GD party!)

anywho once again voices of vegas was just a really great time and i am so happy i came and all that jazz... now i sleep! it was also nice to decide there was a cute boy (ooh two how could i forget cute boy buying food in burger king, and my eating fries with vanilla shake getting funny looks! story... i am the king! yes i took a crown!) who actually liked girls... he will never know i thought he was cute... but woo~hoo it can still happen on occasion... though rare!

ps i still am without camera so i bring you this yet another iphone picture from voices of vegas... surprisingly it actually is pretty decent quality for my phone!

Day 249/365 (April 24, 2009)

The day started off pretty hum drum, but then things picked up! Emily texted me to say she had time to kill and she was in the courtyard and i should come meet her. I was already meeting Krysta in that general area a little while later so i figured i should head down early.

I took one of the fastest showers i have ever taken and packed tucker's doggie bag before heading out. I got to the courtyard and then emily and i began our hour plus long walk around hell's kitchen since i knew we couldnt stay in the courtyard because they don't allow dogs. Emily learned the power of tucker and how people just stop to say how cute he is, and pet him, and take pictures of him. She also held him almost the whole time which is no easy task since he is 5.5 pounds. Then finally we snuck to the courtyard to sit for a tiny bit and cradled him so security wouldnt notice... and thankfully they didnt!

Then i walked up to the columbus circle area to meet krysta at the vet office for tucker to get some shots. Since i was no longer meeting with Kim and Susie i just stayed there and ended up chatting with the front office guy and he was super nice. Finally when we left it was decided i would take tucker home because krysta wanted to go see a movie (and strangely this was the first time i ever brought him back home.)  I think my favorite tucker story is right before we parted ways i was like tucker hasnt gone to the bathroom since before we left the apt, and just then he started doing his i have to pee whimper. We set him down, and this man saw him and literally stopped then walked over and bent down to pet him. he was stopped when he saw the stream coming, but then krysta wiped him down... but it was just finny to see him brought over like a magnet.

It was such a beautiful day and i really didnt mind holding tucker and i just didnt feel like going in the subway yet, so i decided i was just going to walk to 72nd street so i didnt have to transfer from the 1 to the 2 or 3. As i was walking i realized how close i was to my aunt's apartment and knew she would ant to meet puppy so i gave her a call and met up with her. We ended up getting some very yummy pinkberry that i havent had in way too long and she was all sorts of in love with tucker!

Finally i headed home because i needed to set him down and he needed to run around a bit, which he did with mr. fred. Krysta came home and we talked about the happenings since we parted ways and then i headed out to Mostly Sondheim.

This week Titus Burgess was helping Kate and Brian host MS and it was just an interesting night to say the least. I sat at a table and then these two random strangers sat down with me, which was very welcomed so i wasnt at a table by myself. we got to chatting and they were from Tokyo and here to see as many of the new shows this season they could. They ended up asking if i could take a picture with them which means my head was inflated because of my star power (haha) the night was fun and i even got up the guts to sing (Good Morning Baltimore) and i love how friendly the crowd always is there and helpful in my hard time following the music, and i they gave me some awesome back up vocals... defiantely the favorite time i have ever had the guts to sing because it was just so much fun! i lvoe the MS... i just think i maybe shouldnt go as much because of how late i stay up then i pay for it on saturday... but i wont stop because i have too much fun and hopefully sasha will come next week!
