Day 354/365 (August 7, 2009)

going to try to talk only about the fun stuff for the last few days (we will see if that happens).

so i knew i was meeting Mary at Joe's Pub to see Sam Bradley in concert. I had no idea who he was or what kind of music he played but no one else would go with her so i said i would accompany her. i was looking forward to seeing Mary since it had been a while and not so much the actual show. All i knew was he was a solo artist and that it was just him and a guitar. which meant i figured it might not be the most fun since usually even the most talented of musicians if they are solo when they perform by his/her self are dull and boring because they are awkward up on stage and not engaging. I am so glad i could not have been more wrong! not only was he super talented but he was incredibly funny and engaging. he kept saying we were too polite and he worked the room and told funny stories/anecdotes and even had a funny choice of words when encouraging everyone to stay after to meet him. i will meet you in a room in the back (haha) but yea it was just good music and a good time with a good friend. i even took some videos for mary. we were a little thrown though since they are doing construction on the entrance to joe's pub so we had to go in through the public theater entrance. and i ended up there early so i did my favorite pre-joes pub wait time ritual which was go to walgreens and sit in the massaging chair for a while. it always makes my back so happy and it did wonders this time!

we stayed after and chatted with him for a bit and got a picture and he practically doubled over in laughter when i told him i was the one who kept snorting and he even remembered Mary from Texas! And his EP was the niftiest idea! instead of having a CD it was sold as a keychain that had a link and code etched on the back to download it!

Then mary and i said our goodbyes and i walked over to The duplex for mostly sondheim. (it was a pretty quick and straight forward walk. i was very excited when i got there since Colleen was there so she was my buddy for the night. It was so nice/exciting having Brian and Kate back too! (we think it was the first MS of the summer with all three of them present.) There were a lot of people and lots of singing and there was a word/theme of the night i am going to wipe from memory. i finally sang screw loose and after lots of practicing i actually remembered the words on my own and followed the music! HOWEVER i know for a fact i sounded beyond horrible and i guess i am ok with that, because it was fun to sing a different song :D

anywho i came home and after dealing with the insane mess that pip had made on his wee pad/my floor and a few other things i finally fell asleep about 5:30!!!!

Day 353/365 (August 6, 2009)

after getting about three, maybe three and a half hours, of sleep i woke up and got myself ready to go to bryant park to save a total of 19 seats for broadway in bryant park.  Having a lack of sleep led for a really crazy unhinged hyper tamra until about 4 when i crashed. basically i got there wicked early and set up a bunch of seats and eventually chris and lon showed up and helped save them until slowly everyone else came. I had been eating rice krispies from the bag before anyone else showed up and the powderiness was getting all over me and by the time i finished chris was already there and i decided i had a photo op and dumped the remaining powdery crumbs all over me resulting in that picture! it was the beginning of my craziness and hyper activity and even though it was the longest i had waited this year for any BBP the time went by super quickly. There were many snorts of laughter on my part too! anywho eventually michelle even came which turned out to be a nice surprise! (way too many friends to tag in my labels for this post).

the shows that performed were the marvelous wonderettes (i love that music and the performers were talented and all but it just reaffirmed that i have NO desire to see it), the lion king (i love the movie but i really dont think i care to see the musical even if it is disney and i love me some disney), burn the floor (i was surprised they actually at least have someone doing live singing and the dancing was pretty intense but i found it boring and after seeing sound check i couldnt bring myself to watch the performance again during the actual event), and next to normal (such a great show and i was very excited that kyle dean massey was performing and even more elated that jessica was there instead of alice and she got to sing i miss the mountains. i really love jessica as Di way more than alice and it was nice to be able to see her sing it in the park and now have some audio) Thankfully the morning was a little chilly and just really nice weather and it only rained the tiniest of bits during sound check.

anywho so michelle and i left during burn the floor and we headed up tot he disney store so she could get a few ideas of what she was going to buy next week and to trade some pins she has collected that she had doubles of. after we walked back over towards next to normal so i could drop off some brownies at the stage door, then michelle and i parted ways. i went to the marriot marquis atrium and met up with chris, carina, steph, jerri, vicki, and lon. we stayed there for ages talking and looking at jerri's pictures and i ended up crashing from my hyper activity and was basically a lazy poop.

Then we went off and tried helping some of us out with lottos. half went to avenue q and the other half of us went to hair. Krysta and tucker came and met too... well we lost and it was my first time seeing tucker since he left last friday. he was slightly nice to me but did try to start biting me when i would attempt to pet him. basically i learned i am still very upset with him and dont really like him despite my continual trying to like him since the sight of him made me angry and well yea. after we failed hair, and the others failed avenue q we all met up to help out at rock of ages. everyone luckily got tickets who wanted to see it there and we even were able to get a ticket for ronald's brother to see the show. (Ronald works at RoA and he used to wor at NWS so when i saw him i offered the help.) i think my favorite moment of the RoA lotto (besides seeing the old spelling bee lotto lady who still remembers me) was when a youngish girl (probably 13/14ish) came up to him and asked him if he worked there and when he said that he seres the drinks she was like oh good i am going to buy a drink from you and he looked at her and said are you going to show me id and she was all well no i um left it at home... i just about wanted to die of internal laughter.

anywho then i said my goodbyes and headed home and ate some dinner and rested for a bit (though i didnt sleep) before i made my way back out to go to TOL for karaoke. I met up with Joey and it started off pretty bad since the system was not cooperating but luckily they worked it out and it was one of the more fun karaoke nights. Shoshana even showed up which was another pleasant surprise. i really enjoy my karaoke times every week, something to always look forward to and Patrick is always a fabulous person to see :)

then i came home and even though it was wicked late i had to tend to a few things and then i finally got to go to bed!!!!!!!!!

Day 352/365 (August 5, 2009)

Meet Fanny Gabor my best friend as of late! She has been keeping me cool without the need for putting on AC Slater (yes Krysta i just admitted to the names of my fan and our AC publicly!)

eventful moments of the day:

the TWC technician came at like 9 am to fix my internet. he didnt fix it, he claims my computer has a software issue so i made an appointment at Apple. however i dont believe him since his supervisor had to talk him through what to do and he was having troubles following along the directions because he was not familiar with Macs and he offended e early on when i was detailing how the last person came and what she did. and as soon as i said she he said something like she in a not nice tone and then he laughed. and yea so i was just unhappy and i have to wait until saturday because that was the first availability they had, and then call them back when they tell me my computer is fine. i also dont think it is my computer because it used to work just fine months ago but still

pip and i went for a walk and chilled at the dog run by us for a bit. it isnt as big and not as many other dogs come to it so it isnt much fun

on our way back we went hunting for a fruit cart guy... i thought i bought yummy fruit, turns out i bought once yummy fruit that is now practically all rotted so i was miffed to say the least!

i did a few dishes from what i have eaten today

i prepped snacks to have with me for tomorrow's marathon wait of broadway in bryant park

i also got out my very old camcorder and got it ready to use i just cant upload the footage anywhere because it isnt compatible with any of my computers.

i feel really bad because i have been wondering where emma was all day and why she didnt even say hi until i realized i shut her in krysta's room almost as soon as i woke up because i didnt know she was in there and didnt want pip to go in there: basically i cut her off from her litter box, food, and water on a humid day for several hours so i spent sometime graveling at her feet for forgiveness, i think it worked!

Day 351/365 (August 4, 2009)

POOPed is the word of the day!

I did a bunch of stuff that doesnt really matter but then Pip and I headed out to the dog run on 72nd. We were there for well over an hour and he had lots of fun running around and trying to play with all the little dogs and trying real hard to play with the big dogs on the other side of the fence. While i was there my "friend" that i made was totally gorgeous and he had the cutest little yorkie named Dylan. I got pooped on by a bird and i went and cleaned it off with the hose, then when i went back over to get my stuff and move i got pooped on again! this time i moved my stuff before cleaning... thank god for that hose. There were also dangerous crab apples falling.

Eventually we left and walked to 9 to 5 to help sami with lotto but we all lost so Pip and i made our way back home. first we made a pit stop at path mark to buy some groceries. (i had pip in a travel dog bag the whole time). then we came home and enjoyed a lovely peach before i began cooking dinner. i also did a bunch of dishes throughout the day so i could have a clean sink.

dinner was yummy chicken and yellow rice with carrots, celery, and onions. i also enjoyed two large glasses of milk because i love milk so much! we did so much walking and standing and i was so tired (pooped for the word of the day)

emma has also discovered a new favorite spot to sleep... on top of pip's crate and i find it extremely funny since she spends so much time trying to get away from him!

and then i found out michael buchanan is the guest for this weeks broadway sessions at therapy, so i wont be going to bed early. it was a great deal of fun! Rachel Potter and some girl from the marvelous wonderettes were also there and besides rachel having just an incredible voice that is mind blowing the other girl (feels bad i dont know her name) was also wonderful and sang the funniest song!

they played a matching game and i participated... yay for Michael and i sort of "matching" on our answer! After it was over joey, myself, mike, and his friend stayed for quite some time and it turned into a wonderful dance party of sorts to all the show tunes, really my kind of thing! Patrick was also there so that was a pleasant surprise, then i came home and went to bed super duper late!

Day 350/365 (August 3, 2009)

since i had gone to bed so late the night before i woke up a little later than planned but still on the early side. i couldnt bring myself to get out of bed though so for about an hour i stayed there playing on my phone and being attentive to emma and pip. eventually i did get out of bed and my right ankle hurt to walk on but luckily that only lasted like an hour or so. no clue why that had happened though!

any way span some time and i decided i was going to a reading of a musical at York Theater... it was called 999 B.C. the people in it were good and the music was gone but the show and actual songs not so much. i kinda just wanted it to end, but at least the actors were good and that made the whole thing bareable. the woman next to me had fallen asleep long before the show had even started and only woke up when people were clapping.  with the exception of like 3 people everyone in the room was old and graying...  always awkward but eh whatevs. Todd was in it and that was the reason i had decided to go see it. afterwards i walked from york (on 54th and lex) to the 2/3 on 72nd... it was a lovely walk and i bought some yummy fruit. also on my walk to 72nd st i passed (as always) this weird bench with the creepy statue on it. i read who he was once before but i never remember it and all i know is whenever i walk by it it always creeps me out because i am like why is there a guy sitting on a bench so still when it is dark out then i remember it is the statue but still i always get the hebejebes for a split second!

now i am home and watching the episode of The Closer that Michael Arden is on and WHOA BABY! his acting in it is absolutely phenomenal! just wow! and when he speaks in french (as when any one does) my heart was melting a little but here is the kicker despite my lack of retaining french after taking it for so many years i was actually able to translate most of what he was saying and i feel quite proud of myself!

ps i cant believe i only have 15 days left for this to be a completed project! wow just wow! with any luck i will continue updating every day as i have been pretty much for the last month or so with like 1 or 2 exceptions!

Day 349/365 (August 2, 2009)

today it rained a lot and since i didnt have anything major i needed done i opted to stay inside. even though i went to bed about 3 i woke up on my own around 11 which meant i slept for 8 hours which is pretty fab so i thought i was fine... nope i ended up falling asleep for about 3 hours. this will not be good later on.

anywho today i watched a lot of tv and saw legally blondes on abc family, legally blonde 2: red white and blonde, and confessions of a teenage drama queen amongst other things. um i forgot about the song at the end of drama queen that i love and lost when my first ipod died and couldnt replace the music since it is part of the thousands of songs that went missing when my mother lost my CD case :(

pip is super duper cuddly and i keep finding him curled up in different places next/on me when i wake up... this morning he was nestled there, and later in the day he was sleeping with his paws crossed and well i couldnt help but think god put the rhythm in him (a la altar boyz)

and emma also came by recently for a petting session and poor pip was crazy beside himself because i dare to give her attention and not him, but he handled it well and kept eating a bone when he realized i was not going to pet him, but 'tis ok because he gets a good amount of petting from me during the day.

also it has been pretty awesome the last two nights because tucker has been sleeping at josh's. in fact krysta came back earlier and packed up his crate because tucker is spending the whole week there. i should feel bad but i dont since i am sort of done dealing with him for a little while. i just cant understand why he is so mean to me even though all i have ever done is be nice to him. i am confused at how he can be so sweet and then so vicious. i mean the other day he was jealous of pip and came over and plopped himself on top of me to show pip that i belonged to him essentially and i was like oh he really does like me, but then he turns around and tries his best to hurt me, so i am going to look forward to a few days without fear and without having to pick up his poo or worrying about stepping in his pee if i dont see it first.

Day 348/365 (August 1, 2009)

this is how i woke up with them cuddled next to me and i am not sure how i pulled off getting this picture. the day started off slow but then things picked up. Mark called because he had found out Jessica was going to be going on as diana and since he is CT he asked if i could go see about if they had any standing room tickets available. i was going out anyway because i wanted to take pip to the dog run so i said of course.

i got myself ready then pip and i headed to the next to normal box office and inquired about the tickets, we failed as i had suspected but it was worth a shot, then i went to the TKTS booth to find out what they had to tell mark. Even though it wasnt good news he had still decided he was coming in. So Pip and i headed to the 72nd St dog run and hung there for a while. he took a liking to this pretty dog and kept following him around and chasing a thrown tennis ball with these other tow dogs. there was this tiny fluff ball that was my favorite of all the other dogs named riley, he was only a couple weeks old and he was a yorkie/maltese mix and i wanted Pip to be friends with him so i could play with him... didnt work out for me lol. eventually i decided we need to leave the park because pip spent too much time trying to hump another dog so we headed home.

i showered (from being sweaty) and put on some new clothes and headed back out to meet mark by next to normal. He asked again about standing room since they had said to check back later and failed, so we went to TKTS and the seat they had to offer was partial view so he decided against it and we went and grabbed some chinese food and brought it to the courtyard to eat so we werent inside on a beautiful day. he walks really fast! anywho there was only one table open in the courtyard and of course it was right next to some of the boyz. i dont know why i always feel so awkward about situations like that i dont ever want to seem like i am annoying or stalking... i should get over that, but eh. anywho we ate and chatted and killed some time before going back over to the box office and he ended up buying a third row center seat that the people in front of him had just returned since alice wasnt in the show. (their loss and his gain). i stayed with him until the doors opened and then because it was so nice out i just didnt want to go home so i went to the courtyard and started to reread harry potter and the sorcerer's stone. however i was really sleepy and kept dozing off so i was literally in the middle of getting ready to tweet i was leaving when liz w. texted asking if i was still there to hang out a bit. so i said i was and she and lizzy k. came and we chatted for quite some time before they had a ride come pick them up. i still didnt want to go to the subway yet so i walked to 72nd st and finally made my way home. i ended up staying up way later than i should have but what can ya do?
