Day 254/365 (April 29, 2009)

Word(s) of the day: Not Hot, Kinda Chilly (awesome!)

The day began as being one of the best in a while! By the time i got home last night it had cooled down to my perfect temperature, so it was glorious when i woke up! I also got sleep... like real honest to goodness soul healing sleep for the first time in a really really long time. (maybe a month!). I slept from 2 until 11, with one minor wake up from loud barking and Krysta trying to pet emma who was curled up right next to me.

I ended up sewing my second favorite pair of pajama pants since i had ripped them the last time  i wore them and i really thought i wasn't going to get around to doing it and they would just remain with a whole in an uncomfortable spot and i would forget and wear them... but thankfully i motivated myself!

Today also seems to be the everything is going to happen on May 8 day. I told paula i would goto new rochelle and help with dennis' birthday party, dawn will be here, and now my cousin ewa is seeing if she can come here that day. However i know for certain dawn will be here, and i will go to paula's. I wont count on ewa being here until i actually see her in person since she never ends up coming :(

i had a big plan for the day and a big old monkey wrench was thrown in them, but i ended having lots of fun this way too! So what ended up happening is i got a call from Mark letting me know Mitch was on for Matthew, so...

I left the apartment with lots of stuff in tow, including one very cute puppy. I went to NWS and bought the tickets for the night, met with Krysta to drop Tucker off so he could go to his vet appointment, and then went to Kim's. It sounds easy but with a ginormous suitcase also in tow that has pizza making supplies in it... not so much. I got to Kim's and was able to spend a little over an hour there playing with her puppy who is seriously adorable and sweet. The funniest thing i noticed is one of her chew toys is a stuffed puppy which i find kind of a weird wrong, but it is quite cute and funny so i guess it is ok, and she has a ton of others to play with too! Eventually i heard a sublte tap tap tap at the door and let susie in and we were able to hang for a bit before i had to leave.

I went back uptown and met mark in the courtyard and we went to chipotle to get dinner... so much yum! so expensive though really should stop going there, or just order like three things of guacamole and eat that since that is my favorite part... i LOVE guac so much!

then we went over to NWS and saw Altar Boyz. Mitch did a super great job as matthew and was so "supa cute." I think that my hiatus was a good idea, even though i still kind of feel like i need a little bit more of a break, but that wont happen since i am seeing it next week. Though i did find things funny and the "blooper" was a good lol moment. Where one of the altar boy "freaky robes" got caught on a light as lee was exiting the stage and he did a very good luke improv to make it funny. i also played a little game in my head with church rulez that made me laugh alot.

then we hung around a bit after the show, and went on our way. we spoke for a while outside the entrance to the 1 train. Then i came home and watched some tv and wrote this and chatted with Krysta for a long while when she finally got home... looking forward to tomorrow! oooo i also finally remembered to put my applesauce in the freezer for a little bit so i could enjoy that because i love to eat almost completely frozen applesauce!

Day 253/365 (April 28, 2009)

Word of the day: HOT!!!!

It got really hot and i proudly never turned on the A/C, instead the fan kept us cool.

The non-boring part of the day was going over to Kim's. Susie and i were gonna have dinner together while playing with puppy. I struggled with my ginormous suitcase filled to the brim with laundry and carrying dinner i had made but never ate. It is a miracle i made there in one piece!

Anywho it was super nice playing with puppy and hanging with susie, and i was able to do most of the laundry i brought. I will finish the rest up soon. i came home and watched a little TV, and actually fell asleep by 2! (mostly because i just remembered how i got no sleep the night before! like maybe three and a half hours worth.)

i need to take my camera out for good pictures of the puppy when i am with her, and almost thought i didn't take any pictures today, but thankfully i did just barely after midnight, while Tucker and i were riding home

Day 252/365 (April 27, 2009)

look i finally got a band shot!!!!

Oh what a day! i had a really hard time sleeping, even harder than usual, and ended up really only getting good sleep from like 8:30 until 11! The majority of the day was spent with playing with tucker and giving love to the kitties... especially Fred since Sasha was coming to pick him up.

i prepped the dinner i was planning on having and it ended up being alot more work this time around, and of course lots of dishes were involved. Krysta came home eventually and i filled her in about the specifics of yesterdays happenings and then i got myself ready to go out and about.

Sasha finally came and after we gave her a band-aid our first failed attempt at getting fred happened. It was funny for a cat that is always try to escape out the front door he failed at a prime opportunity. He was in his carrier and Krysta was coming through the door as the carrier fell to the ground (not zipped correctly) and he had this look of panic on his face until he landed, then he made a run and ran back inside the apartment! I went in after him and picked him up and then failed attempt 2! he climbed up on my back, which is usual... but then he launched himself like crazy... so then Krysta went after him and was successful at getting him back.

We dont usually have too many legitimate cabs in our area and yet usually it is hard to get one if we do, and by some amazing miracle there was one coming down and he hopped in it without waiting at all! I felt a little left out since i was the only one without a pet on her lap.

We got dropped Krysta off at Petco and then went to Sasha's. After fred had a tiny chance to roam around i said my goodbyes and then then i headed to meet karolina, karen, and diane by madison square garden. We made our way to The Annex (by rockwood music hall) and let me tell you... eww! it was the worst venue by far as far as comfort and stuff... the sound system was astounding though! we sat through an interestingly strange guy and then finally Frisco Verdes. They were great as usual. We hung around for a tiny bit after then bounced out!

I swung by Josh's to pick Tucker up before heading home, and then we made our way home in his swanky new bag. i watched Chuck (amazing) and Gossip Girl, then time for bed! However it was quite sad because when i walked in the door i forgot for a moment and was expecting to find fred right there, but he wasn't! i know he is happy to be back with his momma, and she is even more happy to have him back but my heart is broken just a little!

Day 251/365 (April 26, 2009)

Interesting day for sure!

I woke up (an hour after i meant to) by a phone call from Mark. He had said he was already in town and was trying the West Side Story lotto and wanted to know if i would meet him for some lunch at the yummy Chipotle. I said sure! Well i looked at the time, and then after a quick phone chat with Krysta, realized i needed to get to steppin' because if i did i could get down in time to help Mark with the lotto. Also note that emma was cuddle all cute with me.

I have some how gotten really good at fast showers, because i was able to shower and get to West Side Story lotto in about 45 minutes! (even more impressive knowing the trains were running local!) Mark was seeing it by himself but had done a little "wheelin and dealin" with another lone person. Then i went and we spoke with two other random people until just before call time. I am pleased they changed the lotto policy just a little so now the alternate can buy tickets of whatever is left for seating. On the day i had no desire or motivation to see the show wouldn't you know i was the last name called! After i got the tickets we went to Chipotle.

It was packed and there were no seats to be had so we went to the courtyard to eat and pass the time until mark had to go to hi show. We picked a table that was out of the way and in the shade so i didn't get a burn. There was a lovely group of people practicing some sort of performance quietly next to us, so we got a personal serenade by a violinist, guitarist, and pretty vocalist.

Then we parted ways and i went home to kill some time before going back out to meet kim. I didn't plan on taking a crazy long nap, but i did! i am glad i had set my alarm to tell me i should be getting ready or who knows when i would have waken up! after drinking lots of water i headed out to Kim's to discover i left way too early! So instead of riding all the way to kim's i got off at 34th street to walk. On my way i found a whole foods on 25th which excited me and decided i needed to get some Angel Fluff in my life! it took me forever to find (and of course forever at the check out) but i did... even though they changed the bag, AND the name! it is now called karma puffs which i think is stupid and it says it has a new improved taste and i am afraid to try it because what if i dont like it?

Anywho i got to kim's and met her super cute awesome puppy! I am glad she seemed to love me since we will be playing together this week! (which reminds me i need to plan with Susie.) After i had a lovely time with kim and puppy i went out to meet mark at TOL. I got stuck in the subway for ages which stunk and was a little late, but whatevs! Once out of the subway as i walked towards NWS i ran into the guy who got Mark's second ticket and he said he had enjoyed the show. We had a nice time chatting and stuff, then we left and went to Therapy. It was their comedy night and there were some pretty funny things and some not so funny at all things!

Finally i came home and caught up on a few emails and wrote this, though i wont uplaod the pictures until i wake up. At one point Fred started going into the bag of fresh litter and i was like what? so i took a picture and am going to make an icanhascheeseburger caption with something like "do i really haf to do allz the work maself?"

Now it is time for bed!

Day 250/365 (April 25, 2009)

The day was spent recovering from going to bed so late. I lounged with the kitties, went grocery shopping, cooked an awesome dinner of broccoli rice and teriyaki beef, and watched lots of yucky tv. i also did the dishes and took out the trash. i did a little light cleaning of the bathtub.

Day 249/365 (April 24, 2009)

The day started off pretty hum drum, but then things picked up! Emily texted me to say she had time to kill and she was in the courtyard and i should come meet her. I was already meeting Krysta in that general area a little while later so i figured i should head down early.

I took one of the fastest showers i have ever taken and packed tucker's doggie bag before heading out. I got to the courtyard and then emily and i began our hour plus long walk around hell's kitchen since i knew we couldnt stay in the courtyard because they don't allow dogs. Emily learned the power of tucker and how people just stop to say how cute he is, and pet him, and take pictures of him. She also held him almost the whole time which is no easy task since he is 5.5 pounds. Then finally we snuck to the courtyard to sit for a tiny bit and cradled him so security wouldnt notice... and thankfully they didnt!

Then i walked up to the columbus circle area to meet krysta at the vet office for tucker to get some shots. Since i was no longer meeting with Kim and Susie i just stayed there and ended up chatting with the front office guy and he was super nice. Finally when we left it was decided i would take tucker home because krysta wanted to go see a movie (and strangely this was the first time i ever brought him back home.)  I think my favorite tucker story is right before we parted ways i was like tucker hasnt gone to the bathroom since before we left the apt, and just then he started doing his i have to pee whimper. We set him down, and this man saw him and literally stopped then walked over and bent down to pet him. he was stopped when he saw the stream coming, but then krysta wiped him down... but it was just finny to see him brought over like a magnet.

It was such a beautiful day and i really didnt mind holding tucker and i just didnt feel like going in the subway yet, so i decided i was just going to walk to 72nd street so i didnt have to transfer from the 1 to the 2 or 3. As i was walking i realized how close i was to my aunt's apartment and knew she would ant to meet puppy so i gave her a call and met up with her. We ended up getting some very yummy pinkberry that i havent had in way too long and she was all sorts of in love with tucker!

Finally i headed home because i needed to set him down and he needed to run around a bit, which he did with mr. fred. Krysta came home and we talked about the happenings since we parted ways and then i headed out to Mostly Sondheim.

This week Titus Burgess was helping Kate and Brian host MS and it was just an interesting night to say the least. I sat at a table and then these two random strangers sat down with me, which was very welcomed so i wasnt at a table by myself. we got to chatting and they were from Tokyo and here to see as many of the new shows this season they could. They ended up asking if i could take a picture with them which means my head was inflated because of my star power (haha) the night was fun and i even got up the guts to sing (Good Morning Baltimore) and i love how friendly the crowd always is there and helpful in my hard time following the music, and i they gave me some awesome back up vocals... defiantely the favorite time i have ever had the guts to sing because it was just so much fun! i lvoe the MS... i just think i maybe shouldnt go as much because of how late i stay up then i pay for it on saturday... but i wont stop because i have too much fun and hopefully sasha will come next week!

Day 248/365 (April 23, 2009)

Today was an interesting day to say the least. Krysta took Tucker to Josh's for the day so there was no puppy to play with, but i had the two best NY kitties to give me some lovin'!

i barely had time after i woke up to eat breakfast (which was frozen yogurt because my refrigerator tends to freeze things, and well when it isnt meant to be frozen it isnt so good) then get myself ready to go out. (I slept in real late.)

I was supposed to meet judith in central park for a little picnic and to watch some softball but that resulted in me sitting on a bench by myself waiting and eating by my lonesome. I was not happy in the least! wish i could say whatever to it but i cant.

Then i headed back home since i needed to shower and stuff before heading out. I went to Penn station to meet Mary, Kim, and Susie. After quite the fiasco of trying to locate each other we went on our way. We lucked out in getting like the last set of seats on the LIRR which were also the ones that faced each other so that was nice.

Once we got to Westbury (on long island) we walked a little and had a failed phone call to a cab place, but we found a company so we grabbed a cab there and headed to the venue. We thought we had front row center seats until we got there and the front row was stupidly organized into 4 rows (true) and then the biggest uncool was that we got split up 2 and 2! but we werent the only ones in our section alone there were two other groups of people that got split up because of it! Luckily the two people next to mary and i were willing to switch with us so we could all sit together.

The show was beyond beyond beyond hilarious! I am not usually into comedians and dont usually find anything they have to say funny, but OMG! I love that he uses music and just has a great way of delivering the material. There were times when he was singing and he would hit some awesome notes and the whole crowd would be cheering and i was like its kinda cool to know that people who arent necessarily into musicals and stuff can appreciate it. I just cant get over how funny it was and Rob was it? was a guy who came out and was really funny too, and then Joberg was awesome! When he came out singing his voice basically filled the whole theatre (or should i say circus tent?) and yea he is justa funny talented guy who can hit some crazy high notes and make it look like nothing. (really wish i had seen him in ABz)... People loved him too and were even buying his CD! I snorted so much during the show that my throat ended up hurting like whoa! and this guy in front of us loved it, like he kept giving me the thumbs up, looking back and laughing and everything. As we were leaving he even told me how much he loved my laughter... i totally made a fan!

After the four of us began our journey home which was quite the trip! We walked up a ways because Susie was all we have time let's just walk back to the train station. Well after a tiny but we were like um we have no idea where to go, so we called a cab number. As we were trying to tell them where we were a cab pulled up and we were like ooo get in. Seriously? he was crazy and sounded funny and drove fast and we all thought we were going to die... this of course led to an interesting discussion on the train about us joking how we thought he was going to kill us... we really are interesting awesome people! So anyways as we were driving we were on a highway which was weird since we didnt take one there and it seemed really long... well that is because instead of taking us to the Westbury train station he took us to the Hicksville train station? we couldn't get out the cab fast enough.

We waited and ended up on a pretty empty train on the way back, but the ride was pretty quick and it was fun talking about crazy creepy cabbie and the show we had just seen. then we parted ways and i walked Mary to Port Authority and then headed home where i got some yum in my tum and wrote this.
