Day 337/365 (July 21, 2009)

What the crap? last night i fell asleep on the couch shortly after midnight... close to 2 am i was woken up by emma who called me to bed. it is pitiful to be put to sleep by a cat, but much appreciated since my bed is more comfy than the couch! anywho i basically stumbled to the bathroom then laid down and was out like a light again. when i woke up this morning to emma curled next to my body and head and one paw draped on my arm i thought how cute and i wonder what time it is. it was kinda on the darker side outside and i knew i fell asleep pretty early so i was like i bet it is around 9 am... boy was i wrong! i looked at my phone and it said 2:24! i thought it was wrong since my phone sometimes displays the wrong time... no it was right which means i slept for just about 14 hours! i had no idea i was needing that much sleep, and now my day is wasted!

i did the massive dishes that some how appeared and that was at least productive.

eventually i got ready and headed to the 9 to 5 stage door since they had tweeted about wanting people there to be in a sing along video... so of course i went! "have camera, there is a tamra!" is my camera whore mantra. it wasn't done as i had thought (just everyone singing along) the producer guy was picking people who wanted to be picked, he sung them a line from the song 9 to 5 and then you sang it back in the camera... fun! the stage door guy was also pretty funny and very into making the lion king attendees jealous they werent at 9 to 5!

after i headed over to therapy for broadway sessions because marty thomas was one of the guests and joey was there... and he had a friend josh with him that was just fabulous, and eventually mike showed up. it was an interesting evening with "great" musical trivia... like i would know who the original Boq was... i could care less about wicked, lol! Marty sang his mashup of Single Ladies by Beyonce and Dont Rain On My Parade... and his one man Omigod You Guys from legally blonde. both complete with dancing and spectacular lighting. twas late so i went home.

Day 336/365 (July 20, 2009)

i took lots of pictures of emma and tucker but was to lazy to upload them, so this was my view of life two minutes before midnight and just before i fell asleep for the night...

i did stuff during the day but all that matters was i ate way too much ice cream

Day 335/365 (July 19, 2009)

What day was it? Altarholic Appreciation Day for us wonderful fans of Altar Boyz!!!!

the day began by krysta making my hair all curly and fun... too bad between my natural hair defenses (despite strong hairspray) and the weather almost all the curls had fallen out before i got off the subway! then i went and picked up Sasha's camera and headed over to NWS. i dropped off some of the baked goodies to the best box office staff and went downstairs to meet up with michelle and then everyone else when they got there.

It was Michelle. Tim, Devon, Karolina, Mark, Diane, Her Friend, Nicole, and her family, and at the very end Lynette, Michelle, and Nicky. we had such a lovely time chatting we headed into the theater like 3 minutes before showtime! Lympus even came and hung for a bit and we ate the satan's balls i had made... they were a hit!

You know we had a bunch of seats in the front row and werent really sure where each of us was going to sit... i almost didnt sit in B112 because well i like to be more center but i ended up there because everyone else had already picked a seat... good thing i did sit there! The show itself was super fun especially with us holics in the house, and my one accidental loud snort that drew alot of attention... darn inside jokes with michelle! the best part of the show, in my opinion of course, was something about you. i am an altarholic i had made peace with the fact i would never get to be the something about you girl again no matter how much i wanted to for a freaking picture on stage. well the song started and all was normal, and then it gets to the moment that the person who plays matthew starts to walk off the stage towards which ever girl will be pulled... well imagine my surprise when michael was walking towards and looking at me... at first i was convinced that he was just looking at someone behind me, but then he got closer and there was no question and i started shaking my head no in total disbelief! well there should have been no disbelief and i was quite happy and excited... once i got over the my flip flop was slipping off and i almost tripped up the step moment. it was pretty nifty being sung to and hearing my friedns in the audience all excited and stuff... and seeing the guys up onstage singing from that point of view. Travis brushed by my knee when he was walking towards michael, and then when the others had begun standing up to sing too they were all smiles. when travis took out the camera to take the picture my first thought was i hope my hair looks ok, then i thought ooo the camera is pretty and purple and i want it... then travis walked me off stage... happiness was an understatement! i am am super happy the picture was sent so quickly to me, but i won't lie i am more than a little disappointed it is so blurry! but it is something!

i would also like to point out that i have now performed on three out of the five stages at NWS... stage 4 as fog girl, stage 5 for the battery's down, and stage 2 from this aa day... what will it take to get on stages 1 and 3?

Day 334/365 (July 18, 2009)

I'm tamra!
so i had fallen asleep at 6:30 in the morning like i said yesterday... i woke up about 7:30 when grace got here... just long enough to say hi and fall back asleep! Then i got ready and met up with Kim, Susie, and eventually Jo at Blockheads... then we walked to the highline ballroom and they bought their LFO tickets for the night... then we went to Kim's and ate a bunch of jello... it was good times with everyone and doing something that was so laid back... and i got to see kim's puppy for the first time since i finished puppy sitting in i think May! she had just gotten groomed the day before and she looked like an entirely different breed of dog but she was still as cute and friendly as ever.... i love her so much!

well i was there kim gave me the amazing gifts she had picked up for me in disney: a princess patch, a princess lollipop, a pretty bracelet that has a T charm on it with a mickey mouse head clasp, and Mickey ears that has my name embroidered on the back. well in true tamra form i put them on and wore them the rest of the day because they rocked and i didnt want them to get crushed in my bag... so i went and helped grace try the hair and 9 to 5 lottos (lost both) and then we went to subway to get some much needed grub... yep and i passed kyle dean and tim young... whilst rocking the mickey ears!

then grace and i headed home and i began the long process of the night... baking! OH MY GOD!!!! i can't believe how long it took to make the red velvet cake balls (Satan's Balls) and the carrot cake cookies! I began at 8 and finally finished about 2 o'clock! thatw s six hours of baking and doing dishes so the kitchen remained clean! grace was a super star at making whole cookies from the scraps of cookies that had fallen apart.... they taste so good but they suck to make because they fall apart s easily so you could make 72 cookies (as i had) but only about 38 actually came out ok, and then grace made about 16 cookies from the remains of the other ones, and the rest just had to be thrown out... and since you sandwich the cookies together with cream cheese frosting i ended up with only 27 sandwich's when theoretically i could have ended up with 36 if all the cookies had turned out... basically that sucks! the red velvet balls are really simple in theory but in practice they involve alot of effort but man are they worth it because they taste so good! so anywho afterwards i cleaned the last of the dishes and went to bed!

ps whenever i hear or think july 18 i always think of bad boys II and vice versa because the year it was released Will Smith and Martin Lawrence presented an MTV movie award for something and their whole speech before hand they kept saying bad boys II came out on july 18 to promote it and it became sort of an ongoing joke between judith and myself for a little while, now i suspect i am the only one who still remembers.

Day 333/365 (July 17, 2009)

i am so over tucker right now. i woke up to his incessant barking to be let out of his crate, of course i cant let him out if he is barking or whining so he doesn't think he can get his way... well he wouldn't stop for like twenty minutes! i finally let him out and he starts playing with one of his toys which means he keeps thinking he is burying it and then he barks at it forever! i am sick of the barking, and then while i was in the bathroom he got a hold of my hand and and bit and it didn't bleed but the pain from it is still coursing through my hand... i am done done done.

i spent some time today looking through my photo blog's beginnings since i am so close to achieving success! it is kind of crazy... without looking at what i wrote i would say abut 90% of the time as soon as i saw the picture i knew just what had happened that day and what i was about to read! i just didnt realize how nifty it would be to be able to reflect, i know i will continue this after i make it to 365, it might not be an exactly everyday thing, but it will continue because i can't let go of a great way to reflect back on my life!

Success was mine when i finally found red velvet cake mix not at the store by kim like i thought i would, nor at the store closest to The Duplex, but finally at a Gristede's somewhat close to The Duplex... man oh man that took so long! i then went and met up with mark, and then joey to see patrick in a show called As Gay As It Gets at The Duplex... first time i have been there during normal hours and not mostly sondheim. Beforehand Mark and I grabbed some grub at a Qdoba and it was yummy.

The show was super cute and pretty funny and Patrick was fabulous! it ended about 8:10 and then Mark, Joey, and myself met up with Patrick in the main upstairs bar area. Seriously i have never spent any time there except waiting to get into mostly sondheim but it was actually pretty fun and at one point one of the creators of the shw came over and hung with us for a while... we spoke of lots of things and i never once turned red and it was just a good time.

the three of us (mark left sadly) went into mostly sondheim and this week brian and kate were away and it ended up being just Marty Thomas and Jon, who was filling in for Brian. Dom joined us and so did two others (michael alden and greg). a few of the highlights of the night were marty's one man omigod you guys from legally blonde, patrick actually singing a sondheim song, dom singing things are moving too fast and proclaiming that rose's turn has been retired unless someone puts $20 in the bucket, my bashing the harry potter movie, and the super awesome employees. the lowlights would be patrick and i planning on singing suddenly seymour until sydney sun it with someone else, so i decided to sing good morning baltimore and someone else singing it, then deciding on singing out tonight... and well i tried but it didnt go well... lesson learned do not attempt singing unless brian is at the piano since he understands my ineptitude at following along with music and can help me along... yea not that song ever again! also it became like rent night with la vie boheme parts A and B with I should tell you, what you own, and i'll cover you reprise being sung... yea i guess it made me miss rent because i started getting all teary eyed at one point, and i am sad i can't make it to boston to see the tour one last time... even though i thought i had made my peace with it back in New Jersey!

anywho after a fun night it ended at like 3:40, then i headed to path mark and bought the eggs i needed, came home and baked the red velvet cake so it had time to cool. seriously i woke up around 8:15 in the morning and this night i went to bed at 6:30... it was a long long day! but fun all around!

ps today was half evil as far as my blog is concerned since 333 is half of 666

Day 332/365 (July 16, 2009)

this is my clock, it puts time on the ceiling... the only way to see what time it is at night! In fact i am so used to loking up sometimes when people ask me what time it is my first instinct is to look at the ceiling, no matter where i am.

i got up and headed out to Broadway in Bryant Park... today The Little Mermaid, 9 to 5, Toxic Avenger, and Pure COuntry were performing. IT was a sunny day but i was armed with a bottle of water and a thing of sunscreen. I am so fearful of the sun and burning so i put more on like every thirty minutes and kept asking if my face was turning red! I was excited when i got there and saw Chris saving a bunch of seats so i joined him and he was very good company to have. the morning was lots of fun but really? OK so 9 to 5 was exciting but they only sang two songs (beautifully done) but why didn't they sing 9 to 5? I also think it is awesome allison janey came and did the park since some people are too diva to do it, however i wish her understudy had because i would love to hear the songs sung by three outstading vocalists.... i do love her acting dont get me wrong, but she just cant sing. pure country is supposedly coming to broadway in the spring, i dont like country so it wont be a show i will see (unless casting dictates otherwise) but the guy who performed had an incredible voice and was cute to boot! the girl had to read from the sheet music but sounded great.

Toxic Avenger, this was my first exposure to it and it seemed like it must be the fun musical everyone says it is but two of the songs sounded the same and some of the same lyrics so i was like huh? but the guy who co-wrote it and is part of Bon Jovi was there to introduce them, then joined in the last song towards the end and i was like oh i wish dawn were here. the other show that performed was the little mermaid... once again this year brian d'dario (spelling is wrong there) stole the show, there is no question in my mind that he has a bright career ahead of him i mean how many others are that professional and killer at such a young age? Let's talk Drew Seeley. i was excited to see him perform because um hello CUTIE! and he does have a nice voice... in the end he did sound amazing but i was so dissapointed because he sang the new popified version of her voice. yes it is a fun song, but in the musical Her Voice is one of the most beautiful songs and if that is what i was going to hear i would have wanted to hear the musical version not the pop version... and this is broadway in bryant park after all, not pop concert in bryant park! i understand reasoning behind it... i am sure disney spent a ton of money producing that one song so why not use it, but STILL!!!!

after it was over chris and i took a walk to the times square visitor center because he wanted to pick up a few of the show fliers and stuff and i was able to look in a mirror there and be reassured that i had not gotten sun burnt!

then i headed home and got some lunch, where i cut my gums on a peach pit, and there was blood and it hurt! it was a tame sort of day at this point, though i did a bunch of dishes. WHen krysta came home she cooked us a truly scrumptious dinner and we had a yummy dessert of brownies and ice cream. Eventually i got ready and headed out to TOL for some karaoke.

the nights was lots of fun and it was very exciting to have had some many friends there at one point or another. Kim, Susie, and Jo were there when i arrived and shortly thereafter Joey turned up. Before the night ended Andrew had even popped in! (and a few others). The night was filled with lots of karaoke from me... best part is i made it through the night without singing any britney spears even if there were protests about that. it was just a fun and lovely night :D Kim and i walked to the subway together and then i went home and fell asleep!

Day 331/365 (July 15, 2009)

oh my it was a busy day! i woke up early and rushed the little mermaid for michelle, i chatted with a very nice girl, unfortunately i didn't realize she was just in high school until it was just about BO open time when i had mentioned something and she was like oh no, i am only in high school, so she waited for nothing! i was surprised at how many people ended in line. i was first but the line went quite far down the theater shortly after i got there! i doubt most were rushing and the others were looking to buy regular tickets based on the demographic not looking very collegiate!

then i rushed home and cleaned myself up a bit and headed out to finally watch a Seth" Sirius XM Broadcast because Emma Hunton was going to perform and promote her Joe's Pub Gig... it was standing room only by the time i got there (boo) but i stuck it out and she played Whispering while playing on the guitar and it was beautifully done! i felt bad not staying through the rest of the show but i had stuff to do, so when she was all done i just left. PS Seth was away on the Rosie Cruise and the person who filled in for him was not very good. she had a lovely voice when she sang, but she just wasnt engaging and that made me sad.

I headed to the cake distributor store emily told me about a while ago that i have used rather frequently for awesomeness. I bought the chocolate i need to make Satan's Balls for Michelle, then i headed back towards home. i went to Path Mark to get a few other needed supplies, most importantly the Red Velvet Cake mix... unfortunately i couldn't find it... which sucks becuase between Path Mark, the grocery store across our street, and the little stores around the neighborhood i have been unable to find it! so i will try a few places in midtown in the hopes of finding later, and then go to 14th street if i have to since i know i saw it in one of the stores around there when i was puppy sitting for kim! While i waited in the longest line ever! (my wort line experience there by far... i mean i listened to the entire tarzan cast album while in the store and i didnt listen to it for that long before i got in line! anywho in front of me was this 6 month old little boy and he took a liking to me, so i would make funny faces, or play peek a boo with him while passing the time. it was super cute and if i would stop for too long he would start to get cranky. then when we finally got to the cash register his mom had pushed him through to load the stuff on the belt blocking me from view and he started to cry, she moved out of the way and as soon as he saw me he started to giggle... i felt so loved because well little kids love me without much effort on my part!

anywho then i came home and it was a good thing i set an alarm to remind me when to leave so i wouldnt be late meeting michelle because i ended up falling asleep for like two hours and when i woke up i was s disoriented... like i didnt know what day it was and couldnt remember what i was supposed to be leaving for... then karolina called me and well she had to put up with my what in the worldness and  and asked if i would join her that night... turns out karen couldn't make it to harry potter and the half-blood prince so i went in her place. i finally snapped to at 72nd street... whilst i was sleeping i had a nightmare that the chocolate i had bought and placed in the fridge was not supposed to go in there and it almost got ruined so i freaked a little and had krysta check the package since i had forgotten to before i had left in my disoriented state.

had a lovely time with michelle chatting about the past two weeks and eating at chipotle, then i headed over to the movie theater which was freaking on 32nd and 2nd ave... so far away!

i didnt really like the movie but it was nice seeing it with karolina and david. i felt the movie was way too rushed, and they didnt explain certain things so if you hadnt read the book you would be clueless. they also changed things that were unnecessary and added random things. i thought it was well acted for the most part, i didnt like slughorn, or the littlest voldemort. the teenage voldemort i thought was pretty good, i would have enjoyed you know who more, but he is definitely way too old for it. i think the thing that disappointed me most was that they didnt do the whole dumbledore tells harry that he knew he would be fine because he was with him thing. it was such a sweet powerful moment in the book and wasted by not being in the film. eh oh well at least i can picture things in my mind. I mean most of the people that used to be important in it were just glorified extras... longbottom anyone? and a few others and the billing at the end... i understand that the people are more seasoned performers and had larger parts in the other movies but tom felton certainly deserved to be higher up and listed individually!

then i headed home and found a puddle off pee on my floor from tucker and poo on my bed from emma... i was not pleased in the slightest!
