Day 66/365 (September 21, 2014)

Oh Boy oh boy! today was non other than "Broadway Christmas" aka the BC/EFA Flea Market which also serves as a reunion day where you run into so many people you know and love (or ones you try to avoid).

It started out early so I could peruse the tables and give them a once over. The thing I wanted the most was from the Pippin table. It was one of the Charlemagne pictures that pippin throws knives at signed by KDM and John Dosset. It started off way too highly priced but by the end of the day it came down to just the right amount and I got it!. I also got a picture with Barnum (dog in Pippin) wearing his circus collar. That dog is far too cute! I also won tickets to On The Town from the TDF Pik a Tik! I have never won tickets from there before, and got a Rent flyer with Joey Fatone on it and the Rent Bible (aka hardcover book). I spent the majority of the day stalking the Pippin table waiting for the price to drop otherwise I just popped in and out of the market throughout the day but here are some of my memorable moments:

-Ran into Caleb D. at the Cabaret table... it is always nice to see his smiling face!
-Ran into Todd Buonopane at the Cinderella table, since I missed seeing him Thursday after the show it was especially nice to chat with him
-Running into BC/EFA Frank a few times, and him showing me his The Little Mermaid pelican head purchase
-Ran into Haven Burton as she was leaving the autograph table. It was nice to catch up with her since it has been ages and also nice hearing her say how great I looked
-Ran into Neil while he was trying to sell raffle tickets to win tickets to Cinderella while he was decked head to tow in Buffalo Bills clothing (you know typical for this crowd lol)
-James Snyder was at the IF/THEN table for a bit and when he saw me he winked... my heart may have melted a touch
-I was standing by the Mamma Mia area and one of the cast members ran out to the table for a few moments in costume during the show and had to be corralled back in (blurry photo above)
-i tried to cross Shubert Alley as the it turns out the next way of celebrity autograph table people were taking their post and the crowd was parted waiting for them to walk by as if they were waiting for some major celebrity like The Beatles or something
-Just fun with some of my favorite people

By the end of the night I was exhausted beyond belief but it was all worth it and I even did two loads of laundry and cleaned up my room!

I would say the only negative part of the day was concerning Mark. It is a real shame when someone you were close to reacts to seeing you like they couldn't be bothered and wants to get away from you as soon as possible for no reason at all. Whatever I won't let someone else's problem affect my happiness.

Day 49/365 (September 4, 2014)

I woke up early so I decided to rush pippin... when the BO opened at 10 there was only 9 people in line. I could have showed up at 9:55 and been the 8th person in line! Alas I was there much earlier but I had nothing else to do and it was nice out. The BO guy that was working is the usual one and he was nice enough to give me the specific seat I asked for. I have sat in the same two rush seats multiple times so I wanted to get a different vantage point, thanks guy! I feel like I should bring him something yummy at some point. I do feel bad that I will be seeing the show when there is a live double eviction episode of Big Brother, but I want to see Andrea Martin and what if I really like her? I might not get the chance to see it before she leaves so tonight was it.

I forced myself to the gym after work and I am so glad I did... it made me happier than I was. I went home after and made some dinner, relaxed, and showered before heading out to the show. I really do love me some Pippin. Andrea Martin is s amazing as people said. Not only is she a vocal powerhouse but when she did the trapeze tricks she made it look effortless. Oh i'm just going to flip, I'm just going to hang upside down and sing... no big deal. The others I have seen do it, you could see the struggle on their face as they tried to do everything. I hope to squeeze in seeing it with her once more if I can. However I hope Charlie is back soon because they guy that fills in for him is not good at leading the orchestra. Every time I have seen him conduct there has been some struggles, and this was no different. I also think there may have been a fill in trumpet or trombone player because there were some brassy sounding wrong notes frequently. During I Guess I'll Miss the Man however the MD had his pacing all over the place but Rachel Bay Jones is amazing and made it work. If you didn't know the song you probably wouldn't have known how off it was, but she held her own and made it work... bravo! It turns out the recent winner of SYTYCD was seeing the show too... excellent choice buddy! (I think his name is Ricky). I also want to know why tonight (and Saturday) they took out the last trick in Simple Joys... i meant to ask KDM but forgot, i want it back! Orion also did the trapeze tonight with Andrea... is there nothing he can't do? i just don't get how he is able to move so easily like that.

After the show i waited at the SD and took a pic with John Dossett... i really do kike him in the Charlemagne role! I told him so and he was like but I just started, and I was like I know, I've already seen you twice! It turns out Hanke was seeing the show too so I ran into him as he was leaving from backstage so that was nice to chat with him for a bit. He told me at one point that I should just go for my dreams (how sweet) and apologized for having to run after I had seen him in B & C months ago... I was like it is okay, you have a personal life!

I finally got home and was so wired and energized that sleep didn't happen until 2 am... oops! I did use the time wisely and watched Big Brother (yelp, go Frankie Go!) and packed my bag for New Rochelle.

Day 44/365 (August 30, 2014)

This was a jam packed day! It started pretty early because I got up to rush Pippin. I was first in line, and my friends Matt and Jess came! Jess was a big surprise so that was nice. We also met a lovely girl we chatted with. Before they got there though it was just that girl (Brianna) and I and we had quite an interesting experience with a random guy who at first asked us what rush was but then tried to have a conversation with us about his family.

After we got our tickets Jess and I headed home... then I got freshened up for a bit and we finally headed out because I was meeting Andrey for lunch and she was going to get some food too. Had lunch at Blockheads and then we wandered around for a bit before it was time for me to see Pippin. I met back up with Matt and we went to the matinee. It was my 10th time seeing it. I really enjoyed the new Charlemagne, John Dossett. KDM was cute because he waved to me during curtain call and mouthed that he was sorry because he couldn't come out to the SD after. I said it was okay... and it was because I had lots of stuff to do!

We headed home and I spent some more time with Jess while I was designing and preparing thank you tags to go on the cookies I had made and packaged the night before. She finally had to head out and at first I was waiting for Marty to come but of course he never came, nor did he actually say he wasn't which made me pretty sad. Being stood up is no fun. I ended up going back out with Andrey which turned out to be a VERY good thing. We went to get him a standing room ticket to Lady Day (success) and then he wanted to go to steak and shake. Turns out Jake worked there and when he saw me (after a bit of time) he came over to start working out a schedule to pay me back the money he owed me from ages ago. This is excellent because I could really use it!

Then it was back home to get ready for the concert I was filming that night. A bunch of us dressed in our Disney princess dresses so that was fun! The concert was so much fun, and I enjoyed filming it. Natalie W. even told me I was her inspiration (for the whole weight loss thing). It was a really late evening though and by the time it was over and I had settled I didn't get to attempt sleep until almost 2:30

Random note in the dressing room area of 54 below they had this sign on the women's bathroom door... haha!
