Day 160/365 (January 25, 2009)
This was another lazy day, and a day spent trying to get usable shots for icanhascheezburger.com. Fred really does love to chill on my back and it doesnt matter what i do, or where i walk as long as i dont sit or stand up. he was on my back at this point for at least ten minutes.

Day 159/365 (January 24, 2009)
Goal for the day: Get a shot we can use for icanhascheezburger that will get used... Fred and Emma were playing until Fred tried to steal the toy and Emma got mad, just as i was taking this picture... i call it vampire kitty, and i love how creepy/scary she looks when in actuality she is the most peaceful looking cat. Krysta did alot of twiddling the toy for the other pictures we took in our attempt.
I also watched more Hannah Montana and am pleased/afraid i have now seen every episode available to watch online from the first 3 seasons between online viewing and on TV viewing... at least 46 total, gulp! (over like 1.5 months at least)
Day 158/365 (January 23, 2009)
This day was spent sleeping, watching TONS of Hannah Montana and other things, and job applying. I also spent quite a bit of time trying to get a good shot of fred playing... here he is playing with a catnip mouse and doubled over himself in a swatting manner... good times!
Then i went out to Mostly Sondheim, and although it didn't start until after midnight i shall write about it as Friday, since i got there on Friday... but it was lots of fun and it was nice to have Kate back... and i even sang I'm Not That Smart with finger puppet and everything!!!! I was quite proud of myself :D and Lizzie even came to watch it with me!
MT even said i did good and should sing it again next week (very nice of him)... and before i sang he informed the room that i was shy... ha! in that setting i was just a LOTta bit, but it made me chuckle inside because i havet been called shy in at least 8 years!

Day 157/365 (January 22, 2009)
So Lizzie decided to stay longer for her job hunt and we spent the day applying to places online, and then we headed over to TOL for karaoke night where we met up with Lil.
There wasnt that many people here this week (which was kind of nice) but it was still lots of fun. By the end of the night i had seen two people sing that i never thought i would see sing (RL and "george michael") and i had sang a bunch of songs... there was my favorite which ended up being the maureen part to lizzie's joanne of take me or leave me, techno its gonna be me with the wrong words on the screen (good thing i knew the right ones), the shoop shoop song, and walk away by kelly clarkson.
Lil even sang! i also was a little offended because a drinking club approached me and assumed i was a drinker and asked if i wanted to join there club, i was like dudes i have been drinking like 4 shirley temples and they were surprised... just because i sing karaoke in a bar doesnt mean i am a drinker! i just like to have fun!
i also was involved in a conversation with some people that made me a little sad but i kept a straight face when in my head i was saying TMI TMI TMI.... need to leave. It wasnt bad but we all know how i am easily scandalized and it doesnt take much...
i also learned this evening i need to get my happy self to Texas in March... i will make this happen somehow, if it is the last thing i do!
Fred and Emma were also being really cute!

Day 156/365 (January 21, 2009)
This turned out to be a pretty fun day!
I headed down to meet Megan and we ate dinner at Subway before heading over to the Upright Citizen's Brigade theater to see Seth in Suddenly Seth. We must all remember that i can be an evil person and i don't like it when i dont get my own way... especially when i had been waiting along time to ensure i was one of the first people inside. When i got there there were like 3 people in front of me, but i was ok with that because i hadn't gotten there first and i realized they were related to him, so duh they get first preference... but then tons of people started coming inside (instead of us waiting outside where the line was supposed to be) and it was becoming quite chaotic and i was no longer in the front of the line... this caused me great stress... so when i went to pick up my tickets i asked if it was ok that we are all waiting in the hallway and not outside (knowing the answer) and he said it was a fire hazard and everyone would have to leave... so as i made my way upstairs and took my place at the front of the line outside everyone was kicked out and had to get behind me.... haha sweet victory, dont mess with me!
I didnt sit in the front like i wanted since kayla, emily, and megan didnt want to we sat in the second row... which later on turned out to be a good thing! Seth's show was really funny and i am glad i chose seeing that over Pay What You Can Day at Altar Boyz even though it kinda hurt knowing how many of my friends were there without me, but i see Altar Boyz alot and i missed the only other performance of this to see Altar Boyz, so i made the right choice! After Seth's show was over this comedian guy had his turn... we should have left but we were like we paid for it, why not stay? Seriously he was not funny and i was tortured and even thought about leaving at one point but didnt want him to bring that fact into his "act" so i stayed and rolled my eyes.... i am srry your stories about being high and all your addictions are not funny! This is why it was good i was not in the front row! As we were leaving we ran into Brian and Gallagher on the street outside and it was funny because they said they had just gotten trouble for standing there quietly... apparently (according to UCBT) there are little old ladies that live around there that have a vendetta against them.
Then i left and headed over to NWS to meet up with everyone as they were leaving boyz, and it was nice to see so many of my friends there, and some unexpected ones, and david even saw the show! Then we all parted ways and i left and hung out with Mikey... we went and spent some time over at Matthew's where Mackenzie and Zuri were also at, but we ended up leaving shortly thereafter because we wanted Jamba Juice. So Mikey and i left and i finally tried one of the secret jambas... white gummi which actually tasted like a white gummi bear. Then we spent some time in Virgin and walked to Penn Station and i waited with him until his train boarded and it was just lots of fun!

Day 155/365 (January 20, 2009)
I failed at finding something at the Spring Awakening load-out but i did see the Moritz and Wendla stairs outside and a part of the brick wall and it actually made me a little sad.
Then i walked in times square and saw everyone just at a standstill watching the many TV screens as the inauguration was going on, and that was kinda cool to see so many people so invested in something so important.
Then i met up with Lizzie briefly before going over to Sasha's... there i applied for some jobs and fooled around, then Sasha left me her keys and i used her place as a base of operations while helping people with the wicked lotto, and the avenue q lotto... and i even got to luck out and be there for a UPS delivery which made matthew and sasha very happy. Afterwards i hung out some more before packing up fred and bringing him back here for us to cat sit him until Sasha comes back from CA.

Day 154/365 (January 19, 2009)
The day was all kinds of fun! It was a holiday so Krysta was even home for the most part too!
Krysta, Lizize, and myself went and helped with Avenue Q lotto for a few people then we all headed to Europa. I didn't get anything there surprisingly... then we sat there for a while and parted ways... Krysta, Lizzie, and myself went to putter time before heading over to TOL for Michael's birthday party. We went to Virgin and i found this guy... the photo isnt the best but it is hard to take a sneak picture of someone with their friends around... but he was wearing this flash hoodie and it even had the lightening bolts coming out of it and i loved it!
Then we went to Starbucks for a bit, and then finally we went to TOL for the festivities. We got there early enough to get a seat and let me tell you the night was so much fun! It was also ope mic there and it turns out alot of the Mostly Sondheim regulars come to TOL for Open mic night and it was nice to socialize with them in a more casual setting and before midnight! Lizzie and I even sang My Junk Is You... though i had to read the words and later i sang Friend Like Me which was a crowd pleaser and i was extremely surprised that i didnt have to look at the words and was able to sing it on my own, and the few moments of uh-oh i didnt have to worry about because everyone was singing along with me :D
Michael's party turned out to be lots of fun, and there was even yummy cake!
Day 153/365 (January 18, 2009)
The day was spent stage dooring the matinee of Spring Awakening on its final day, and meeting up with some friends: mary, Jo Ann, Mike. Then i went and helped people with the Avenue Q Lotto and went to have dinner with Krysta, Sasha, Matthew, and Nick was there too. Matthew was really sad that he wasnt seeing the final show and we tried to find him a ticket but failed.
Eventually we went to the the theater and i got bought him a ticket... 5th row orchestra and i am glad he was able to see the show.
My favorite part of the whole show was the encore of Totally Fucked and everyone just rocking out and singing along... best moment ever! I spent the first act in my favorite right box seat, and moved down to the empty seat next to Matthew for Act Two. I left in the middle of the speeches at the final curtain call because i had gotten word earlier in the day that Ravi was taking part in a concert of music last minute. It was by the composing team of Dabbon and Bruett. I had never heard of them but only went for Ravi. I was quite pleased Marty Thomas was on the list of singers as well when i got there. (ps i literally was seated just before it started). Their music was fantastic and funny and i highly recommend everyone to check them out!
It was all kinds of awesome to see Ravi sing a non- ABz song... boy can sing :D

Day 152/365 (January 17, 2009)
I left the house to go help Lizzie with In The Heights Lotto... sadly we lost but the lotto that night was a massive reunion of running into so many people! i shall try to list them all: Mary, Kaitlyn, Becca, Andrew, Frances, Lindz, Her Mom, Stef, Penski, Sami, Sami's Mom (ok she was on the street as i was walking there), Michelle (SA), Brian, Kate, Katie, seriously i know i am forgetting a few! Also Jo Ann had called me earlier to ask if i wanted her extra Spring Ticket... so i said yes.
Then Jake, Lizzie, and I went and got dinner at a diner and it was really yummy... then they walked me over to Altar Boyz and we parted ways... or so i thought! I went in really early so i could do a cookie delivery before the show... well as i was downstairs occupying myself the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the building! i then went to Starbucks and hung with Lizzie and Jake for quite sometime until they let us back in... i give NWS and everyone involved with Boyz alot of credit because even though we weren't even let back into the building until about 7:48 they still managed to get the show going only ten minutes kate! I was also glad i had gone in earlier because there was such a crowd of people that were trying to get in for the practically sold-out show, and if any other show was playing t that time they were ripping people's tickets instead of scanning them, but since i was already scanned earlier to go in, i was spared a ripped ticket! The show was great of course, and after i did the stage door thing i headed out to a place called the Crooked Knife.
I went there for Whitney's goodbye send off (part one, but i cant go to part two). I met Whitney at my first ever Altarholics day and even though we don't see each other very often i really think she is quite great and i will miss her now that she is heading off to live in Chicago... before i left she, one of her friends, and myself were talking to these random two boys... and well quite frankly i found it amusing since they were the first straight boys i have spoken to that i didn't already know in well a REALLY REALLY long time! Then i snapped this picture of us just before midnight and headed home.
Day 151/365 (January 16, 2009)
Things to Ruin got temporarily side tracked because of The Zipper Factory's immediate and surprise closing. Joe Iconis and his peeps aren't ones to just take something like that and let it side track them so they decided to throw a pep rally at Dalton's at the time things to ruin would have started playing. I went inside and found AnneMarie and her friend Caitie there and Becca and her friend Grant Lil joined us a little while later. It was fun sitting and talking, and eating pretty yuck chicken tenders. Jason was sporting a camera and he was filming people talking about joe iconis/things to ruin and what not and we got into a lovely conversation about New Jersey and its suckiness, LOL!
After it was over Lil and i went to Pinkberry... it may have been 10 degrees outside but it is never too cold for Pinkberry!
I then hightailed it over to The Duplex to meet up with Hope and her friend Chelsea to be at Mostly Sondheim, which started way late, but was way fun! and Hope's friend can S-I-N-G!!!!
Day 150/365 (January 15, 2009)
Lizzie got in from North Carolina!!!! she is spending the week with us while she is job hunting in NYC and we somehow convinced Krysta to come to karaoke with us in TOL at New World Stages. We got there early at 9:30 and the place was the most crowded i have ever seen it with people i didn't know and that kind of annoyed me because i couldn't even get a seat! but it was still great fun and the best part was Lizzie actually likes to sing karaoke too! My favorite moment of the evening was singing "you can't stop the beat" from hairspray with her because i didn't really know the words too well but we just sang (and i danced) and let loose and it was tons of fun.
It was funny because at one point when i was standing around in the back these people came in and were talking about how shocked they were at the vastness of the crowd and how it usually only has like 12 people, so i turned around to put myself in their conversation as i like to do, and then as i started commiserating with them i realized one was Gabe from SA, and Robi Ha ger was there too and i LOLed inside. (ps i put space in there to prevent google alerts from finding this blog post, crafty i know)
The only reason you can see this photo for the day is because my camera which i thought missing the next day was found in TOL... so happy to have it back!

Day 149/365 (January 14, 2009)
So i was at work until 11 in the morning and had already planned on trying Wicked lotto with Sasha for the night show, but when i saw the time thought "why don't we try the matinee and if we lose we can still try the night show." Sasha liked this idea so i met up with her and Matthew and we tried our luck... Sasha won the Wicked lotto for the first time ever, and i was so happy for her and myself.
Then we went back to Matthew and Sasha's place and ordered CHinese Food... it took FOREVER to come! like over an hour and we barely had time to eat before heading to the theatre, sadly Kyle Dean wasn't in the show that day. I won't lie i was more than a little crushed, i really am not a gigantic fan of Wicked and feared i would be in pain watching the show... luckily the current cast is pretty great and that made the show actually kind of enjoyable and i enjoyed the understudy that was on for Elphaba.
After the show was over we didn't bother stage dooring since i had already done so the past Sunday, and there was no kyle dean to say hi to, shallow i know but it was COLD! we went back to the apartment and just hung around for a while which was nice to catch up with Sasha and Matthew... then i left them to meet up with Mary and Kavin... they were hungry so we went to The Olive Garden, too bad i ended up feeling sick, but it was nice to socialize with them before i went home and went to bed!
Day 148/365 (January 13, 2009)
So the other day I ordered this super pretty necklace from etsy. When I had seen it my first thought was “I think I need to buy that.” I was really happy to wake up this morning and find a package waiting for me on my spare bed (thanks Krysta) and knew what it was. It looked even better in person than the picture online, and it looked pretty awesome there. I took a picture of it (pardon bad photo) and will now share it with all of you, I am almost positive I will be wearing this tomorrow. (as long as I can find something to wear it with)

Day 147/365 (January 12, 2009)
Day 146/365 (January 11, 2009)
Two picture day!
I saw Spring Awakening with Karolina… besides the fact the show was basically sold out (including standing room) and we had stage seats… I was so amazed and excited to see the cast board saying that Matt Doyle was going on as Melchior. I wasn’t able to get a picture of it due to excitement and lack of time, but I was ecstatic to see it! The show itself was pretty good and I have never seen Matt do a better job as Melchior, if this turns out to be my last Spring Awakening experience it will not be a disappointing one. It was nice sharing the experience with Karolina, and it was funny when Frances threw her head on my lap during Totally Fucked.

I also was attempting to “stage door” Wicked even though I had not seen it (shh) but only because I still need to get Rentopoly and Marci X signed and I am sick of bringing them with me. I failed epic-ly of course, but I was finally able to get a photo with Marcie Dodd who is by far my favorite Elphaba I have ever seen. It stinks that she isn’t in the show anymore, but I am sure she will rock in whatever she is doing next :D

Day 144/365 (January 9, 2009)
I got out of work earlier than usual, but not enough to make the trip to Philly despite my best efforts. I met Krysta and we went to see Bride Wars, which was a pretty cute movie, even if it was half a theater ticket! Then I high-tailed it over to Ars Nova.
I met up with kayla, kavin, melissa, rachel, and amelia to see Gallagher perform, and of course he had a special guest Thad DeBrock. There were songs, talk of oil fumes, a false alarm spider on the microphone, and good times with friends. I had turned my screen off to take pictures because of my proximity to the stage in the dark theater so this was the best shot that came out. I like it because Thad is in it too and I think he is extremely talented. As a personal note I really miss the lack of Tupperware everywhere!

Day 143/365 (January 8, 2009)
The Spring Standards had a "secret" show in Brooklyn at a place called VoxPop they, and a bunch of other wicked awesome talented people/bands, performed as a rescue the place type thing. The place was super tiny and it was nice to see them play without there elaborate set-ups. The palce was on Cortelyou Rd in Brooklyn and Megan, Laura, and myself headed out.
After the show we had a photo shoot of sorts waiting for the Q train to wisk us away... fun times with fun people. This was our funny faces shot

Day 142/365 (January 7, 2009)
Yesterday i met up with sasha, matthew, mackenize, krysta, emilie, and mikey. We ate dinner (so yummy was my spinach calzone) and then went our seperate ways. Krysta, ZEmilie, Mikey and myself saw Altar Boyz and it was fun sharing that with them and Mikey's extreme excitement :D
but no picture from that, later that night our houseguests came over Jordan, Tracy, and Carina... Jordan brought a large assortment of playbills she had bought as a bundle on eBay and were going through them. I got to keep an Altar Boyz playbill that had a picture of the OOBC on the cover, but this one here amused me the most. Apparently you got a discount coupon to go on the intrepid (a ship) when you saw titantic... yep you are seeing a musical about a sinking ship, so here is a discount to visit one... LOL!

Day 141/365 (January 6, 2009)
Wow! So i really do like spamalot, but did not realize (despite having seen it 6 times) that i actually loved it until i saw it with Chris. It closes this sunday and i was seeing it for the final time. This is a funny show and yet at times i almost got a little teary-eyed watching it and thinking i won't be seeing this again. I might get standing room to the final show, but i need to give myself a day or so to see if i still feel that way, or if i was just on a temporary emotional high. This sign breaks my heart more than a little.
I can't believe Chris had never seen it before, and i also had quite an enjoyable time with him before and after the show.

Day 139/365 (January 4, 2009)
I was torn between 4 photos i took during the day. There were ones from the final Hairspray lotto and ones from Starbucks. Even though Broadway died a little with 10 shows closing i felt like this was the best picture.
After i lost Hairspray and Wicked i headed to Apple for my appointment and after being told to restore my phone (scared to do) i took my newly exchanged headphones (real reson for visit... success!) and walked from 14th and 9th Ave to 50th and 8th Ave, while walking up and down random aves on the way to waste time. I finally ended up not in my Starbucks (since every seat was occupied, the nerve!) but in the one close by actually on 8th Ave. There i sat people watching and when i took a phot of my view, i noticed how interesting my bag looked with the headphones on the table, so i took one of just that. i really enjoyed all the competing colors and patterns of everything.
Afterwards i met up with Mark, Lynette, and Michelle (not MacDonald) in my Starbucks and we just chatted for a really long time, then MArk and I headed to Chipotle followed by Coldstone (i tried for Pinkberry) and walking around.... oh yea i saw the marquee for Guys and Dolls but couldn't bring myself to take a picture of it. Then we headed to sasha's for a potty break, and got into some mischief... but it turned out to be a great day!

Day 137/365 (January 2, 2009)
There is no better way to start the year than getting together with some great friends (megan, emily, hope, and laura) and seeing The Spring Standards play in NY! Day 136/365 (January 1, 2009)
i spent new year's day sleeping, cleaning, and watching TV. I watched countless episodes of Bones, a few of Charmed, and finally saw the final (and worst ever which breaks my heart) Highlander movie. i got this candle for christmas and it was nice having it burn while the lights were off, and i took this picture and loved how it turned out, so voila photo of the day!
Day 135/365 (December 31, 2008)
New Year's Eve was truly great! I met up with Hope and Kayla and we had dinner at Brother Jimmy's BBQ (so good), then we headed over to Urban Stages and met up with Tara. We made a brief stop at a Starbucks to stay warm, then went into the theatre and eventually met up with everyone else we were planning on meeting... Lil (at Starbucks though), Alicia, Billy, Angela, and Meggan. Rewrite was a really different show and i enjoyed it alot, then we all left and had a little food they had set up in the lobby and down the scary spiral staircase (too many brownies!)... then we headed back into the theater and were treated to Joe IConis and his talented friends singing... just before midnight they put up a digital ball, and we counted down and sand Auld Lang Sang. (How do you spell it?) They finished singing and then we all just goofed around with each other. This was the super amazing cake they had (i took this shot before midnight). It was not only beautifully decorated but it represented the night and Rewrite. We are talking Marzipan, and Eggs Benedict, and a piano keyboard, with Joe Iconis, and New Year's Stuff. It also had a ginormous 2009. It was the best way to send off 2008 and ring in 2009 (amazing friends and kickin' music)
