Day 194/365 (February 28, 2009)

Got up earlier than planned and not sure why, ate some breakfast then went with Grace to help her with West Side Story Lotto. Ran into Sami, Penski, and then Carina and Stef.

The lotto guy is pretty funny and has a booming voice but i think his "we will call an alternate" policy incase someone doenst get all the tickets they said they wanted... yea i was called as the alternate only to wait in line and be told we don't have any more tickets for lotto. The other funny thing was during lotto there were two names that were called and the people didnt come forward because they werent there... well i was waiting in line these people came in and asked if lotto had been done yet and we said yes, and they asked if any names were called and people didnt come forward and we said there were two and he asked if they were adam or lauren and i was like on was lauren, and then asked her last name and it was it and i was like sorry! then the guy thought they could still get their lotto tickets somehow and he was set on his plan but she kept telling him it wasnt going to work... it made me chuckle.

Then i went to Wamu and closed out my bank account, yay for having a little bit of cash since i am without until Bank of America sends me my new ATM card... still peeved at Coldstone for causing that grief!

Had a little lunch of toast pizza and tomato and avocado... so much yum!

I came home and Krysta was watching one of her movies... not only does this not have "drama" but i saw some stuff that i did not need to be seeing. She also curled my hair all pretty like and i was going all vain and toss-tossing my hair all night!

Karolina came over to kill time after her wedding expo and before we went to go see boyz. We both seem to not see each other as much lately so its always nice to catch up, and we had dinner then made our way to NWS for Altar Boyz and Diane's anniversary celebration. She gave us pretty fun party favors, and i gave her a copy of Bare since she had never heard of it before!

The show was great... it is nice to see it after a little break, and Joey was on as Matthew. Karolina and I shouldnt be allowed to sit next to each other since we encourage each other with funny comments and whatnot.... always a blast!

We did a little photo shoot after the show then went to TOL... It was good fun and i got to speak with Clayton for a while (in picture above with Ravi). He is the drummer for Boyz and i missed him the last few weeks while he was working on another show. (in Seattle).  Also had a conversation with some others that involved my super math skills and a discussion of all the shows that have played at NWS.

Karolina also struck a deal for herself that resulted in a good thing... oy! LOL :D

Day 193/365 (February 27, 2009)

yea it is square but it was tricky homemade dough!!!!

The biggest event of the daylight hours occurred at the grocery store. I wanted to make pizza so grace and i went and bought the supplies but because we couldn't find pizza dough i decided to try to make it on my own. It ended up being a good project for the day but i didn't like the yicky feeling i had well mixing or kneeding it. I usually enjoy mixing things with my hands but this just felt weird and yea i dont think i will do it again. Next time i will make my ay to Whole Foods and buy the dough i like... and the sauce i like!

I also spent some time with Fred and Emma, and got a good picture of them liking each other (ok well getting along)... which they are very good at not letting you get but i snuck up on them.

Krysta, Grace, and I ate the pizza which was yet another real dinner for me which was nice. I also spoke on the Phone with Ted, and emailed with my cousin... i need to get out to New Rochelle on the sooner side to visit them!

Went to Mostly Sondheim (of course) and had lots of fun. This week Todd hosted again and since Kate was away in CA this guy named Michael filled in. He sounded great and was quite funny. AT one point Grace and i got brave and we sang Church Rulez... it actually was a disaster and we did follow the music pretty well for the most part.... it was no where near perfect but it was lots of fun and Todd and Michael were super nice to us and warned everyone we needed a lot of support... haha but it was great and fun!

Day 192/365 (February 26, 2009)

Today was another day filled with boredom, but i was able to eat some of one of my favorite cereals Raisin Bran Crunch. Later i had some yummy tomato and avocado.

Failure of the day: Altar Boyzopoly... i made some pretty graphics for the board but for some reason i cant get it to load on the page and i am beginning to think it will not be finished by the anniversary and that makes me more than a little sad!

I found a new show i kind of like called Burn Notice thanks to Grace.

I went to meet Grace outside of Blithe Spirit since she was seeing it.... turns out it ran way longer than they told her and i spent about 40 minutes in Shubert Alley with nothing to do but listen to music and walk around... but i was passed by Christian Anderson, Two Mermaids, and Heidi (so an octopus.)

FInally i left the stage door madness so i could meet Jake for karaoke fun to begin... and we had alot of fun! Grace came when she got autographs but by the end of the night there was alot of singing... as Lympus said we were doing a set. (hehe). But We sang Light My Candle and We Didn't Start The Fire. We failed at Can You Feel The Love Tonight since the words didnt come up and it was the eltn sung version, not the nala and simba sung version. What else did we sing?

We also got Grace in on the action for Wannabe... and she sang New York New York with Jake and i sang Take Me Or Leave Me with her... and i even let her sing Maureen which i never do since i like maureens part better, but that is just the diva in me! So i tried to work Joanne's part. They have a new drink there for Rooms, it is called Romance on the Rocks, and it is very sweet... i liked it but not enough to get it again.

I also decided i like the production people involved with Rooms because they were having lots of fun there too... yay for fun people in TOL!

This picture is my "tourist" picture because when i got off the subway to wal to meet grace i realized i hadnt taken any pictures today so i took this one just in case i didnt take one before midnight... good thing too because it was the only picture all day!

Day 191/365 (February 25, 2009)

I was going for a zoolander look, and instead look upset... when in fact i had a great time!
I tried to capture all 3 sets of baked goodies... SUGAR COMA!!!!

Oh what a day!

I spent the day doing many random things. I must also note that with the exception of showing Grace select scenes from American Mall and listening to part of the commentary the day was spent listening to a whole bunch of music rockin' from my itunes.

Today i made a birthday card for Hope that i was super proud of, even if i can no longer allow myself to use super glue because it always results in more glue on me than anywhere else. I then began my baking quest of cupcakes to bring to Hope's celebration. I had lots of fun frosting them, and then decorating them. I wish i had better handwriting, but one container said happy birthday hope, and the other were random designs, music notes, and one that said TSS.

Eventually i showered and got ready to leave, and at this point had consumed a few cupcakes amongst other random food of the day, including an omelette that i put cheese on that i had to scrape it off because it disgusted me for the first time ever. I made my way to grand central since i had to take metro north to Pleasantville because that is where Lucy's Lounge was. The trip wasnt so bad and the train was for nicer than the ones that take me to new rochelle! The cupcakes had a tiny incident on the way of me dropping them, but luckily nothing happened to them and they remained safe... seriously those dollar store containers rock!

When i walked up the steps as Hope had said i found it pretty easily and headed in. I ended up only being like 8 minutes early and walked in to an almost empty place. However i found a girl sitting by her lonesome with cupcakes in front of her. I asked her if she was here for Hope's birthday and she said yes.... score! so we chatted until Hope arrived, and then until more people came and we moved over to a larger table. Another one of Hope's friends had come in with this beautiful/monstrous sized cake.

It was nice getting to know the few of her friends i had never met before, and it was eve nicer when i realized i had already met most of them so it ended up being an evening of just fun, instead of "oh hi i only know one person here awkwardness."  we sang her happy birthday in spanish and everyone ate so much of each others cake like goods The cake had chocolate squares on top, and was checkered inside with vanilla and chocolate cake. We ate so much we went into sugar overload! I suspect i will have a bad tummy ache tonight!

All of her friends are also nannies, and let me tell you how weird it was. I would have killed 3 years ago to have so many nanny friends back when i was a nanny. Everyone was talking about their day and the things the children had done, and for the first time i had nothing to share since i am no longer a nanny. I still liked listening. At one point a band started playing and the singer started sining in a grover (of the muppets) voice and we were like what? but then he started singing in his real voice... twas much better!

I left a little on the early side since the trains started coming much further apart and when i got home i was extremly pleased because Krsyta had mae a real dinner and i was able to consume the left overs which was much needed to get something non sugar related in my system.

Then i designed the money for altar boyzopoly since i hate the money design that came with the make your own opoly game... and now i shall get ready for bed and spend 5 hours brushing my teeth, because they sure need it!

Day 190/365 (February 24, 2009)

I didnt take a picture of what i should have taken: our table all clean, with table cloth, and set up for a real dinner!

The day was spent doing nothing really. I baked sugar cookies because i was bored and when i went grocery shopping butter was on super sale.

We all ate a ton of them, especially me!

I watched lots of TV, did job hunting, and wrote a very long LJ entry about yesterday.

Krysta and I also lamented in the fact we couldn't go to the Bare reading!

The nicest part of the day was provided by both Grace and her Mom. She brought a lasagna made by her mom here from CA and this was the first night we were all in, so we decided to have it tonight. Krysta got some yummy bread and in her words made it "fancy." we used the pretty china dishes i have to eat a real meal, and we watched the movie Identity. it was kind of interesting but the murders in it should have started sooner because i was losing interest fast, but then it got intriguing. My favorite was the random guy in it that was in an episode of Highlander as Mikey and i always get excited when i see him in things because he is such a versatile actor, too bad i can never remember his real name.

Day 189/365 (February 23, 2009)

That is bedding, 6 towels, and most clothes that i wear on a regular basis... eek!!!!
Laundry swirling in washing machine... clearEly my green towel took control
30 degree weather, wind chill of 16... naturally you wear a hoodie, capri pants, and flip flops!!!!
Sorry if you couldn't be there for this!!!!!!!!

This is another entry that if you want to read the whole description of my day you are going to have to be my LJ friend, but in short i spent the morning doing the most laundry i have had in forever, then Krysta and I, with lots of help, lost the defying inequality lotto, and decided to buy a ticket anyway. This was the greatest decision because all though the even took 4 hours, yep that is right, it did not seem like it had taken that long.

Sadly the bank i went to was closed, and it was cold but this is what krysta was wearing... good times!

so many pictures!

Day 188/365 (February 22, 2009)

I didnt't get to sleep until about 1:30 after i finished playing with my phone in my room, and even though i woke up briefly twice, i didnt officially wake up until like 12/12:30! i got close to 11 hours of sleep and i felt like a mack truck had hit me!

I should have done laundry today but i needed a day of nothing even though i have been quite bored out of my mind the last few days. It was nice to be in my PJs today, and now i have a reason to get up early tomorrow (like 9) so i can do laundry and have clothes since all of mine are now dirty. Grace is staying with us, though not the last two nights because she was visitng family but her bed is still up, and Emma really likes it so if i wasn't playing with her today, or petting her i would find her right there dead center of the bed just napping.

I spent Oscar day watching a crapload of episodes of CSI: Miami which is funny because i cant stand two of the main characters but it kept me entertained today, and i watched a really bad lifetime movie.

Fred will becoming here sometime in the next few hours to stay with us for a while... let the icanhascheezburger quest begin again!

Day 187/365 (February 21, 2009)

This was a crazy day! (technically it started with amazing subway luck getting to the Duplex for Mostly Sondheim... the night before) but it didn't start until after midnight so here ya have it!

I got there way earlier than i intended because the subway actually worked super fast at that time of the night but it worked out because there was a bunch of people that hopped in line as soon as i did. I had the cupcakes with me as bribery to get Matthew to come. I saved a table for us (since i knew Sasha, Matthew, and Nick were on their way). Todd was back as a host and i had never seen him at MS before but he is one of my new favorite people! so funny and talented too... At one point during the night we had a Rent sing along that began with Seasons of Love but then it became both parts of La Vie Boheme (we fast forwarded over I Should Tell You) and that was my absolute favorite part of the night! Sasha, Matthew, Nick (the cupcake vacuum), and I had so much fun and we sang every word and threw in some choreography for good measure!!!! we really did come alive during those songs. Another part of the night was filled with some trivia... but Matthew couldn't follow the rules and ruined two questions... silly boy! We also learned what an Ace Hole was and LOL! Which after seeing the reading of "How The Nurse Feels" i just dont understand how he has fans.

Grace finally came towards the end for a little but (i even sang a "cute" but train wrecked version of i'm not that smart and Grace and I have concocted a plan for next week... only if the room ends up being composed of NOT certain people.

When Grace and I got home we stayed up with Krysta until like 6:30 in the morning talking and watching videos... fun but i really shouldnt go to bed when the sun is coming up.

I finally woke up to a phone call from Mark telling me that he thought Story of My life would be closing Sunday since tickets weren't onsale past Sunday. It turns out he was right and i said i would go get us student tickets for the night show. Sadly the BO didnt have student tickets so i went to TKTS for the first time ever! the line was long, but not too bad and it has great security that stopped someone who tried to cut the line! We got ninth row center and that was good times.

The show was quite good in my opinion. I would have loved to have been able to see it a few more times. The set was simple, rather beautiful, and perfect for the show. Until the show began all you saw was a bold black background, a very white podium and a very white desk and chair. i enjoyed its start and contrasting nature. When the show began with an audio recording of two boys the balck background parted ways just a bit to reveal a white background that changed colors depending on the lighting used and Will Chase's character walked out. Eventually the black went away and we saw Malcolm Gets' character chilling on a library book shelf ladder/wheely thing and a massive book case (all white in the back. It was really nifty because it seemed like MG was wearing all white the way the lighting was until he got off the ladder and you saw he was wearing beige. The rest of the stage was awesome because it was slightly curved and they were able to use it to get closer to the book shelves, or at one point run up a jump down.

Another thing i liked about it was when they made snow angels in the "snow" the lights created what looked like the snow-figures as they stood in place moving their arms and legs (like i used to fake jumping jacks in kick boxing)... That amused me to see. Also the lighting made the desk and chair appear blue at one point, and the books lit up on the shelves. There was a story about a butterfly in the show and when i looked at the playbill after and saw the three books had little butterflies on the bottom of each it made me smile! There was a moment when Will's character threw a bunch of papers up in the air, and as the papers started to fall "snow" began to fall from the top of the stage and it was kind of a breath-taking moment to see the flecks of white dance down towards the ground when the lighting had changed to make the background look very much darker than it was. I truly hope this music does get recorded. Another part i liked (and i dont remember exact quotage) was Malcolm's character had told Will's character that because he wasnt there the moment he had died he will never have answers he can only ever have questions... and isnt that a universal truth?

After the show ended i ran into about a bazillion people i knew which was fun, and mark was all "do you know everybody?" the audience was also surprising bcause they were all really respectful. Not one cell phone, i didnt hear any crinkling wrappers, people didnt talk... it was absolute quiet except for the extremely occasional cough, and the one rude person who sounded as if they were opening a can of soda. I have never seen a performance with such overwhelming quiet of people listening to every word! It was fun to share the night with MArk.

Then we went to the stage door and i was able to finally fangirl Malcolm a little bit which made me so happy. I had seen him years ago in an off broadway show called Polish Joke and have been wanting to see him do something else ever since then and well he was worth the wait! Malcolm and WIll both have such beautiful and powerful voices and they blended so well together and their chemistry onstage was astounding... the show had a sad ending but that made it kind of nice actually.

Afterwards Mark and I headed home because he was sleeping over so he could be closer to the airport for his flight to FL in the morning... we stayed up later than we should talking with Krysta and showing him videos too... but this time it was only 12:30! It was a good day!

Day 186/365 (February 20, 2009)

My word of the day is BOREDOM.

I did quite a few things today... they include cleaning, job hunting, and then this insanity. i have all this stuff for baked goodness and alot of time on my hands, so i got this crazy idea in my head... and even though it took forever to decorate only 12 cupcakes it kept me occupied and i think they came out all pretty like and i already cleaned up their mess! i really like rainbows, and note all 7 colors are being used!

tonight will be better when i got to Mostly Sondheim!

ps also found out that now James Snyder is doing the Bare reading i cant go to... so i will not only be missing Bare being performed live, i will miss matt doyle, james snyder, and neil haskell singing it.... why cant i be able to become an investor? oh yea... lack of funds!

Day 185/365 (February 19, 2009)

Today was an interesting day. i consider the day beginning at 4:10 when i met up with Mark. I met him at the Marriot and we hung there for a really long time until we headed to get dinner before seeing Altar Boyz. It was a nice surprise to find out Mary would be joining us.

After yummy chinese food and good conversation we headed over to NWS. We hung in TOL for a while until it was close to showtime. Mary had fun playing with my phone and getting a feel for it since she is likely getting an iPhone soon, and we all kept up with our lovely conversation.

Mary went home, and Mark and I saw Altar Boyz. I love this show so much, but i think for the sake of me continuing my love for it i need to take a little bit of a break from it. There have been 19 days in February and i have already seen it 5 times! After Diane's anniversary celebration, and the actual anniversary celebration i wont see the show again until April... unless there is a special wunderstudy action reason.

After this point the rest of my day can be found in my LJ account, but only if we are LJ friends since it has personal stuff in there. Except this is a picture of krysta's room and i am proud of her because this is the first time in at least a month she has had floor space.

Day 184/365 (February 18, 2009)

This is me with the flower i got the night before... i kind of love this picture even if i dont look my best. The day was spent not doing much, but then getting some unexpected fun.

Day 183/365 (February 17, 2009)

I spent the day not doing that much besides job hunting, and watching tv. I did however go help out a friend with Wicked lotto and bought supplies to make a real dinner for the first time in a long while. I made terryaki chicken, rice, and broccoli.

At one point Krysta was finally able to get something she had wanted to download and she was listening to it very happily! This is her acting all happily like!

Later we went to Therapy to watch Broadway Sessions and it was good times with everyone and listening to Dabbon and Bruett tunes. I even won a little composing challenge... thanks to Krysta's friend telling me the answer, but at least it gave me some much needed attention and the host gave me a flower on his way in... this excited me greatly, i have a picture with it but it was taken after midnight so i cant post it here.

Day 182/365 (February 16, 2009)

So i got up relatively early, (especially since i had gotten no sleep really) and brought my mom to Port Authority so she could catch her bus back to MA. I then headed to the Staten Island Ferry to meet Michelle and Nicole. The main soundtrack of my travels was the Zanna Don't cast recording. When i got to the ferry i ran into Abraham Lincoln, and that amused me more than you could know! (though he was much shorter than i would have thought!) When i got to the ferry i saw my old apartment building and got a little nostalgic, but the big thing that made me happy/sad was seeing the Statue of Liberty. She is one of my favorite things about New York and i miss seeing her every day when i would leave or enter my apartment building. She represents alot for me. After i first moved into that apartment i was so excited to finally be living in Manhattan but after a quick amount of time i began to take it for granted and got a little jaded. Then when the new year came (2008) i had tol myself i needed to remember what was so special about living in NY and the statue of liberty became that reminder since looking at her would make me remember how far i had come in ife. Living in Harlem i obviously dont get a chance to see her everyday anymore and i take such joy when ever i do get to see her :D

Michelle and Nicole picked me up and we went on an arts and crafts store trip. It was nice to be in a Michael's and an AC Moore, and i was ale to buy the needed cake decorating supplies for a super cool cake i hope to make, and stuff to transport it in. I also bought a 3-tiered cooling rack since i make so many cookies. We just perused the aisles and had fun. Then we went to the Staten Island Mall so Nicole could check out Payless, and i went to the pet store and looked at the cute puppies and such what. Then we got some yummy chicken terryaki, and had fun people watching all the lovely way people looked with poofy hair and ugg boots and animal prints and mini skirts and tacky leggings and velour suits... good times! After a quick stop at Barnes and Noble they dropped me off at the ferry and i made it home in record time. (however i was frightened that i fell asleep on the ferry for at least 18 minutes of the trip.

I then spent the rest of the night watching TV, and was lucky enough that my roomie made me dinner, pancakes and pasta!

Day 181/365 (February 15, 2009)

What a day! My mom wanted to go to iHop for breakfast, so we went. Unfortunately we didn't think of time planning and got there about the same time as the bazillion churches let out and had to wait forever to get a seat! In the end it took us two hours to get breakfast. The pancakes were yummy and so was everything else. (it was all you can eat pancakes so we kind of killed ourselves.)  I called it "going into a pancake coma," then we came back to my apartment. We ended up doing nothing but lying down on our respective beds and napping for quite sometime. (this would be bad for me later.)

Then we got ready and went to help some people out with lotto for Lin's final performance in In The Heights. It was crazy mayhem, as i thought it would be. The best part about things like this is all the people you know and might not have seen in a while end up being there too. Its like a mini-reunion. The people i was directly trying to help did not win the lotto, but enough did that the person who had never seen the show got a ticket through the lotto win trickle down. I just wished we could have helped the other get a better seat. After we hung out for a teeny bit before my mom, Krysta, and myself headed over to B.B. King's for Broadway Bears. When we got there we ran into some people that i knw and we spent a great portion of the reception with them which was nice. The event was pretty nifty! We had VIP tickets so got to go in on the earlier side and had the chance (before it got insanely crowded) to roam around and look at the bears on display, chat with the bear designers, and enjoy the open bar. I learned i like a drink called Blue Hawaiian. They also had hors d'oeuvres that we sampled. I got to say hi to Sieber... how i heart him! We also had a chance to have a quick chat with Blake and Emma which pleased me since i never stage doored the final performance of Spring even though i had been there.

Afterwards we headed into the main room to take our seats and get some insane sweets to munch on for the auction. The auction began with Sieber and some woman singing a really funny song. We ended up getting a little tired of the auction and decided to leave, but waited until after the Billy Elliot bears were auctioned so we could report the amount to Carina right away. Highlights of the auction included: Sieber getting on the phone and getting the telephone bidder to go up to $16,000 for the Sir Robin bear, he had also said he would give the winner his house seats to Spamalot (i am thinking people werent realizing he was joking since Spamalot has closed). I really wanted the Clio/Kira Xanadu bear, she looked so cute, and even had working roller skates! The Billy Elliots were there and so cute. They tried to get the bidding to increase but no one went past $4,000. I felt bad. Apparently Groff wrote the Wendla letter on the Wendla bears butt when he signed it. The forbidden broadway bear came with two seperate outfits and it had its own "teddy" to wear so when it is doing its quick change from Ethel to Annie she is not naked. I am sure i am missing something else i enjoyed lots.

We then went over to TOL to go to Clark's birthday party. It was lots of fun and as always more fun when i randomly run into Shoshana! The events that took place then were quite amusing and entertaining, and i was shocked my mom seemed to be having a good time... of course she had like two drinks at Broadway Bears which is alot for her in general but especially because we hadnt really eaten anything all day except pancakes and a few random hors d'oeuvres. It was also a nice surprise to see Mark there too! If only i could write the highlights here, but alas this is a public blog and that squashes that.

Then we all went back home and i ended uo staying up until 3 am because of the nap i had... i just couldnt fall asleep. I however dont mind because it was such a great day!

Day 180/365 (February 14, 2009)

Lots of pictures today! Oh well!

The day started off with a simple plan: be lazy, see Gallagher, then see Altar Boyz. Well in my paranoia i decided to look at my tickets when i woke up this morning. I was surprised to see they were matinee tickets and NOT evening like i had thought. So i quickly got ready, and my mom too, and emailed Nicole about our little change of plans for when we were going to meet up.

On our way to the theater we ran into Neil on the subway, then when we got to our stop my mom and i went to Subway to get some lunch. We saw the show and had a great time, and i took pictures with them for the first time in a long while since it was my 111th show and well that made for an easy picture idea.

Then we met Nicole outside NWS and went to Rockwood Music Hall which took alot less time to get to. We got there way early and had to sit through what i liked to call pretty torture. The girl playing before them had a great voice and played piano well but i have a hard time sitting through soothing peaceful songs live. Gallagher was great and he sang this really funny cover song that actually caused me to have to use something to prop my camera on so that it wouldnt jiggle when i laughed. I am also quite glad Nicole was able to come since we have been trying to get to a Gallagher show together for quite some time.

Then we headed back to my Starbucks and met with Michelle and hung there for quite sometime before they went to see Boyz and my mom and i went to the Celtic Pub for dinner. It was quite yummy but very filling and we had a terrible waitress... Krysta ended up joining us to kill some time. Then we all went to PINKBERRY!!!! Well there i finally decided that i should just buy the spoon i have wanted since day one, i mean it is shaped like a heart! (look closely above, i also like that picture because it reflects the computer screen in it!).

Then Krysta went to a friends and my mom and i came home. I introduced her to some VGL Gay Boy videos, The Unexpected Boys, and Jesse songs. Then we watched Psych... good times and now I need bed!

Day 179/365 (February 13, 2009)

This was a special day in the level of Tamra. It was my last attempt (for a while at least) of trying to see Kyle Dean as Fiyero. I had Sasha and Karolina come to help. Sadly between them, my mom, and myself we lost, even though after they called everyone they had to call another name since someone dropped down to one ticket.

Sadness was an understatement. I went to the Box Office and all they had were craptastic seats priced at $126.50. I shouldn't have done that on my own, let alone getting one for my mom too.  Sasha then went to try to see if they would give her a different answer... they didn't. As we sat trying to decide what we were going to do until Mostly Sondheim i told them we had to leave the lobby of the theater or else i wouldn't be responsible and end up buying the tickets. As we were on our way out we ran into Ally and Natalie who also had lost and as they were trying to console me this person came up and was like i won the lotto and my boyfriend can't come do you want my tickets? I literally left everyone behind to talk to her. In the end she had said she offered them to me because i had looked so sad and she didn't need them. She made my freaking week! ANd Sasha helped tell her that for me because all i could say was I Love You I Love You I Love You.

Then the our of us went to chipotle and it was good talking and eating before the show. Some random SPring People came in and my favorite Marci X Wicked person.

The show itself was just great and i liked Nicole Parker alot. Kyle Dean was great and Sasha coached me on her technique for taking pictures during the show... i wasnt gutsy Act One (sadness) but during intermission i realized  could dim the brightness and that is how i got brave. I took a bunch and only two really came ut well but one is kind of cool, i cant upload that here because it is in iPhoto which is a butt munch. I used my real camera during curtain call and got this one.

I also learned i was right and Mark was wrong... the scarecrow costume is paint and not a mask.... haHA! (say like Juan).

It was great fun, and then my mom and i went to Mostly Sondheim and met up with Hope and her mom. It was an interesting night to say the least and some former hairspray boys sang Without Love (with their Tracy understudy) and they took off their shirts to sing! (not the girl) one even took his pants off!  Craziness

Day 178/365 (February 12, 2009)

Today was a day of sadness, happiness, and love. I began the day by baking lots of oatmeal craisin cookies and was extremely proud of myself for not eating then while they baked and by the time i left the apartment i had only eaten one!

I went and met with Mark at the Marriot Marquis and we began our crazy quest for the day. He decided he wanted to get a gift for KDM, and knew what he wanted... a bear dressed as Fiyero. Well that was easier thought than done. We walked all over the city for about two hours including stops in many stores for clothing. Our success ended up coming from Macy's, Build-a-Bear, and Rite Aid. FYI when looking to dress a teddy bear clothes made for a Premie are the perfect size!

During that time i crushed my poor cookies, got attacked from two seperate revolving doors, and almost dropped from realizing the only bit of food i had had at that point was now two cookies!

FInally we made our way to the Wicked lotto where i met up with some great people who came to help (the love part of the day). Krysta, Karolina, her friend, and MARTY!!!! i bribed them with cookies! Sadly we all lost but what can ya do? Hopefully everyone who won enjoyed it especially the people who were behind us in the lotto line.

Then Mark and i dropped off our stuff at the Stage Door and went to Chipotle... food at last! After another failed errand we went to starbucks (where he had dressed the bear) and i got a venti shaken passion iced tea lemonade to drown my sorrows as i put it. then he went off to see the show and i stayed there drawing and doodling in my notebook all pitiful like (as seen above). Then i went to karaoke to pass more time until i met up with mark.  Good times! I also kicked it up to Shirley Temples.

Then i met up with Mark and we created a special take on an old song and waited for KDM. He finally came out and it was nice to see him again and even more so for Mark since he hadn't seen him as Fiyero in well over a year! Um score for being told my cookies are "legendary" around the cast and a bunch came knocking on his door for some, and Mark's bear was a success as well. I guess the costume person thought it was custom made until she saw the romeo he red-ed out with a red sharpie. :D

Then i got mark to come back to karaoke for just a little but before he and i left to go home.

I also was especially pleased that there was a very nice man on the subway. I didn't get a seat when i got on and he offered me his seat, when i said no thank you he asked if i was sure, to which i said yes... but that simple gesture made the night that much better to remember there are some amazing people in NYC!

Day 177/365 (February 11, 2009)

Sasha and I were going to try the In The Heights lotto for the matinee show, but there was a problem... they didnt have one!. I thought this was the case when Sasha first asked, but then when i looked it up on Playbill it said they had a matinee, but then we learned early this mornign i was right and Playbill was wrong. We then decided we would rush either Guys and Dolls or The Story of My Life. We both wanted to try G&D first and that is what we ended up getting a ticket to.

We got lunch and went back to Sasha's for a bit before showtime. Entering the Nederlander after all of its' changes (especially after seeing Rent the night before) was crazy weird and emotional. The place really does look gorgeous and still smells of paint. Seeing Brian, Sonny, and Terrance all spify-ed up was just weird. They looked great but they were so dressy! We chatted for a bit before heading in to our grayish/silver seats. During intermission we went up to see the view from the Mezz and the beautiful ceiling artwork is of course gone :(

I had wanted to take pictures but couldnt find my camera at the time, and forgot to bring my phone with me. The show itself is pretty good but i will refrain from my actual opinions but my favorites were the ensemble and the two playing Sarah and Skye. There is some impressive choreography during the sewer craps game. We had a partial view and the place was packed so we couldnt move over but they do have an impressive screen for background at times and an incredible sound system. Before the show began the director came out and made a few announcements that inlcuded telling us this was the first wednesday matinee performance, turn off all electronics, no recordings, and my personal favorite explaning what a preview means and telling us that this might be a train wreck... LOL!

Stage Door was a fiasco to say the least! SO many people and so many that i am not quite familiar with so by the time i saw them and was able to process who they were they had already left. Some even left at rapid speed even though i saw them coming, but didnt stop them because i could tell they just wanted to leave. i did get this picture with Nick Adams and got his and Steve Rosens' autograph.

Day 176/365 (February 10, 2009)

So the rent tour started in Newark, New Jersey at NJ PAC. i knew Tuesday was the only night i would be able to go so i got ready to head over and try my luck at their lottery. In the middle of the day i learned that Cary Shields was going to be on as Roger and that meant i knew lots of people going. i really can't properly express the mixed emotions i had. It was weird being in New Jersey, but it was awesome seeing so many people i have come to know because of Rent there too.  We even ran into Rodney Hicks. We needed 11 tickets and highly doubted that we would all get them, i dont know if luck was on our side or if not that many people entered since it was hard to tell because of the set up but we ended up winning way more tickets than we needed. This resulted in us all being in the front row reminiscent of times of the past.

Walking into the theatre was a surreal experience. It was not the nederlander but here was this semi-familiar set. There was no funky smell and it was smaller and slightly different but it was still the same basic thing i was so used to. When the cast first walked out i began to cry, and during a good portion of the first act i just kept crying. It was a strange thing to e watching the show in someplace that was not the nederlander and knowing that this was most likely the last time i would ever be seeing it performed live. The cast was so incredible strong and i liked them all (with a few momentary exceptions). It was funny at one point because when joanne says My maureen during TM the microphone didnt echo so mark couldnt say patched. Then finally it started going een een een, so anthony was able to say patched and it continued.

SPOILER: I didnt like the change to Angels eulogies it came off kind of like an army and too mechanical in my opinion, and i dont understand why Gordon doesnt get to come back out during the end of Another Day. There were also some choreography changes... i kin of liked the way paul and steve dance at the end of LVB b better, but dont know why mark didnt use his camera during High Holy Days.

END SPOILER: Stage door was weird because i ended up standing next to the girl i sat next to at the final show! I was sad i didnt get to see Adam Halpin (who was great as Gordon), but it was nice chatting with David (who blew us stage kisses), Nicolette (who noticed my haircut), and Andy. Who had told us seeing us all in the front row made it kind of feel like we were back at the neder but not.

MINOR SPOILER: The lyric change (for tour purposes) of you can take the girl out of jersey, but you cant take the jersey out of the girl got crazy applause, and there were lots of annoying screamers in the audience!

MINOR SPOILER OVER: After Jess, Jennifer, Carina, and myself made the trip back to New York and it was nice to just have that time to catch up. I really had a great time, and am glad i was able to go.

The list of us that i know names: Jess, Jennifer, Carina, Jerri, Kim, Heather, Rae, Her sister, the blonde one, some girl named Alana, and her friend.

Day 175/365 (February 9, 2009)

My mom's birthday was spent baking carrot cake sandwhich cookies, and with friends. After i finished baking and got ready i went over to visit with Sasha and Matthew for a bit, and was lucky to be there when Marty stopped by! We watched some youtube commercials and listend to some bootlegs.

Then i left and headed over to NWS to meet with Karolina and celebrate her one year altar boyz anniversary. (she came to see me as fog girl last year and boy did i get her into the show good!).

The show was great (and as i learned at nicole's birthday show) they are throwing the hat and yamulke back out into the audience at the end of the show!. Austin was on as Luke and teased poor karolina. We made friends with these three ladies visiting from ireland who sat behind us.

After the show was over we went to TOL to continue the celebration and that was pretty good times. It was also open mic night so lots of people were singing and it was good entertainment.

After i went with three people to a bar called Therapy. It was really nice and had fun tables, then we went to Ray's pizza and i got the most yummy white pizza with spinach on top. Eventually i cabbed it home since it was so late.

Day 174/365 (February 8, 2009)

We woke up and headed out by 10 to go to Baltimore, Maryland to see the Grease Tour. We got there and parked the car then took a walk to find Edgar Allen Poe's grave for nicole. After we went and got something to eat at Salsarita's.

Eventually we went into the theater and saw Grease. It was kinda of fun because about ten minutes before the show starts the guy who plays the radio guy comes out and entertains the crowd/gets them in the mood for the show. We danced the monkey, and helped sing a song.

The show itself was lacking in book but Eric did a great job as Danny and made the whole show worth it. Taylor Hicks however has a song that lasts an eternity and then busts out his harmonica... lame! After curtain call he even came out to sing his latest single which just made me mad... i came to see a show, not a concert! so we left while he was singing to head the stage door where we encountered some really rude people.

There was this one guy who pushed nicole out of the way without even a sorry (way to set an example for your children, and the people who interrupted us while we were talking to eric. It was nice to see him briefly, and then we left... no need to wait for Taylor!

we went to starbucks to kill some time until Michelle's friend arrived to pick her up since she was staying for the night. It had the cleanest public bathroom i have ever been in anywhere! i took a picture of that too (its on FB). Then Mark, Nicole, and myself headed back to New York. We stopped at a burger king and i was extremely excited that MArk gave me a ride home and i didnt have to fight my way back using MTA!

Day 173/365 (February 7, 2009)

The day started so early! i got up at like 6:30 to get ready and by 7:30 Michelle, Mark, Nicole, and myself were on our way to see Les Miz. The roadtrip was kind of nice because i ended up falling asleep for more than half the trip and so it went very quickly (thanks to Mark for driving and Michelle for being co-pilot).  We passed through DC and made our way into Arlington, VA where the Signature Theater is and met up with one of Michelle's friends who joined us. We also had lunch at Johnny Rocket's which was really fun and i loved the smiley face made out of ketchup!

We finally went in to see Les Miz, which is one of the shows i really don't like and it takes a special reason for me to sit through it. The Javert was way to angry and i had some problems with a few of the cast but there were also a few that were really spectacular! Andrew Call was just incredible. I have seen him sing before but in pop-y type things and this was the first time i heard him sing a traditional broadway type thing and his voice was flawless, and he acted the part so well.  I was also excited to see James Gardiner perform and he did a great job too.

We spoke with Andrew for a bit and i got my Glory Days poster signed by James, so now it is complete and once again hanging up in my living room. Then we headed off to check into our hotel, the Holiday Inn. It was a nice place and mark gave me my christmas gift which was "make your own opoly" so that will become Altar Boyzopoly. We brainstormed ideas and headed off to the mall to kill some time and get some dinner. It ended up being a pretty early night for us and we were all asleep by 10:30 (well i was everyone else was out by 10).

Day 172/365 (February 6, 2009)

This night began what turned out to be one of the best weekends ever! I spent the first part of the day with Diane and playing with two of the most adorable puppies ever! I then took her back to my place to grab my stuff before heading over to see Altar Boyz.

We got to NWS and met up with everyone that was there to help celebrate Nicole's 18th Birthday. Mark, Michelle, Lil, Mary, Devon, Tim, of course Nicole and Michelle.  Tim had vampire teeth and we had a massive photo shoot. The show was super fun, and even more so by the friends that were there even if the get us into trouble. When travis went to wheel the cart away it didn't squeak and all of us holics in the house couldnt control our laughter whilst the rest of the audience i am sure were clueless as to what was so funny.

After the show Nicole did a little birthday photo shoot and choose the flan scene. Then we all got on stage for a group picture and i felt bad for the random people in the audience that were wondering why we were doing pictures like that, but one was nice enough to take this for me.

We then waited at the SD for a bit and well that resulted in a conversation i did not need to be a part of! Then we headed over by TOL for a bit and helped MAry shoot some footage for her TwiCon commercial. Then our group split up, some went to see Naked Boys Singing and then myself, mary, tim, lil, and devon stayed behind.  TOL was way too crowded so we just hung out on the bench right downstairs. Devon had to leave after only a little bit and that left us to craziness. We ended up telling stories and i told the snake and dog story and because of that poor MKC and Mauricio got dragged into our madness. however by the end of the night we were left with quite the funny stories about escalator mishap and the "SLM" catch phrase. I was even more freaked out by the fact that MKC had heard the dog story before... like really? that was amazing!

Then i headed over to Mostly Sondheim for a bit and was surprised to find some of my friends there! Hope and Erin! and Chelsea that i had met like two or three weeks before. I couldnt stay long since i had to get to Staten Island and luckily i made it there fine an got three hours of sleep!

Day 171/365 (February 5, 2009)

I got my hair cut... it needed it because it was starting to look not so good. It is not a good idea to cut it after a few days of thinking your hair is too long because you say to cut it much shorter than you intended. I absolutely love how it turned out but i had a mild panic attack after it happened at first.

Emma was grooming herself and her claw span was impressive!

Later that night i went to do laundry and even though i wore a hoodie with the hood up two people recognized me! The first was the mother of the cute little boy from the last time, and one was someone i went to school with which was even more amazing since she was outside walking by and saw me through the window. It was nice having the little reunion/catch-up!

Day 170/365 (February 4, 2009)

This was so not a good morning for me but things picked up! I woke up in one of THE crankiest moods i have ever been in. I was so cranky i didn't even bother putting on a fake cheery front for anyone at first. This is what happens when you cant sleep at night and dont get much sleep to begin with (totaling about four hours) when you have been getting about nine hours for the last three weeks, even if it was from weird times.

I met up with Matthew and Sasha in the M&M store to help them lotto Shrek. They won, but somehow after all the names were called there were only two slips left in the spinny tin, and i was ONE of them... oh well.

We then went to their place for just a bit, and went to Chevy's. This tie they had the most amazing Pineapple Lemonade (pictured above) and of course the yummy Guac. The next time we go i am not going to bether ordering real food since i always fill up on chips and salsa, and then the table-sie made guacamole. Yes next time i will get whatever fruit flavored lemonade they have, the guac, and an order of tomalito! (spelling)

Later on in the night i met up with Mikey and we did 20@20 to see Altar Boyz. It was so much fun seeing it with him, even if we were all the way up in Row H!!!! it was nice to see it from a distance because nothing was blocked, but it was "so far" away!

Afterwards we went bak to 3A and hung out some before finally going to our homes.

Day 169/365 (February 3, 2009)

This was the poster inside the York Theatre for Zanna Don't. It was a concert version of the show to raise money for the terrific organization called GLSEN. Although it said Marty Thomas was Mr. Broadway 2008 which technically he is but they arent supposed to use that name because of a copyright issue and seeing it on the poster made me laugh.

I was excited to see this for many reasons, including the fact i had wanted to see it so long ago when it first ran off broadway but never got around to it. After seeing this i really wished i had seen it back then. Everyone did such a great job in it and my favorite character was Candy. It was also nice to see Michael Kadin Craig do something non-altar boyz related and run into so many of my friends there. Mark, Michelle, Jo Ann, Shoshana, Kelly, Diane, Krysta, and Mary. Michael Urie was even there!

Highlights of the evening were them busting out into the Single Ladies dance thing, MT pulling out the Wicked Grimery and using it as the spell book and singing the no good deed allaga whatever, and the Xanadu choreography while singing Love Sleuth lyric, and Marty Thomas' spoof of the Patti LuPone/Gypsy freak out (

Day 168/365 (February 2, 2009)

i finally left the apartment and ate real food after my weekend of being a sick person! Unfortunately life was conspiring against me and turned me into a crazy woman. Everything was sending me into what i call "sensory overload." my hair was hitting my lips, my bag wouldnt stay on my shoulder, my bra was annoying me beyond belief, when i put my hair in a ponytail it kept hitting my right ear, and i needed it to then hit my right ear because of my crazy OCD. A whole bunch of things and when i finally got to the metropolitan room for the Friends with Benefits Benefit i couldnt sit still because i was so irked.

Luckily it subsided almost completely before the show started. We made new "friends" with a random person named Nick who sat with us until he discovered an actual friend who was there for him to sit with.  The event was really great. Even better than the ast one i went to. Highlights included this girl who i cant remember her name who sang this song "I want you back" (not *NSYNC) and she was so funny! The two guys singing the love song medley that had some awesome Xanadu in it, rory o'malley singing some beautiful songs and Ryan J Ratliff singing his song.

When i got off the subway i realized i hadnt taken a photo yet and saw this bike stand. One of my many OCDs is that i like to walk on/over it whenever i walk by if there is nothing on it. Basically i use my left foot to step on the swoop in the middle and my right legs geos over the right loop of it.

Day 167/365 (February 1, 2009)

i was still sick and didnt do anything or eat real food. I spent more time with Emma.

Day 166/365 (January 31, 2009)

After my night with throwing up with nothing left to throw up i was not in a state to do anything. Krysta went shopping for me and got some bananas and apple sauce, and at one point emma was snuggled up next to me.

Day 165/365 (January 30, 2009)

so i went to Brooklyn to see the final dress rehearsal of Thoroughly Modern Millie at The Gallery Players to see Megan's fabulous costuming skills. The show was really great and i was super impressed by some of the performers, especially the actress playing Millie. It was interesting watching Megan taking notes and the fact that two actors put their dresses on backwards! Unfortunately during Act Two i started to feel really sick in my tummy and had no idea why.

After the show ended Megan asked me what i was doing after the show and i couldnt even pretend to be offended that she would ask what i was doing after something that ended well after 10 pm on a friday night. So i told her i was going to Mostly Sondheim. That however didn't happen.

As i rode the subway there i started feeling worse and right before the stop i needed to get off at for Mostly Sondheim i started to feel the pain pass through my whole body and start to get really bad and that is when the white and fuzzies started to come which meant i was about to faint. So i threw myself down between my knees until the feeling had passed and was thank-full i hadnt just finted. I was afraid it would happen again so i made this note on my phone and put it as my wall paper.

Luckily i did make it home safely (though i did almost faint again when transferring trains). i set everything down and then the toilet became my friend for the rest of the night. It was not fun.

Day 164/365 (January 29, 2009)

Lizzie and I went to Borders to see the cast of Altar Boyz perform. It was super fun as always and well nothing like being embarrassed by the super awesome press guy beforehand (david).  OK so it wasnt actually embarrassing but being told you could perform the show i the event a cast member could not be found is a sign you have seen something quite a bit of times! (not that it would ever stop me from going back!)

This was the last day Lizzie was here and we went to karaoke later that night... it wasnt very active but we still had a great time and did some singing... we sang you cant stop the beat in honor of us singing that the first night she had come, and i ended by ad libbing "unless you go back home to north carolina"

i am glad she had a good time while she was here, but i still miss her!

Day 163/365 (January 28, 2009)

It was so incredibly snowy/rainy. When i was getting dressed i contemplated using my boots or using my rain galoshes. In the end i decided warmth over dry. I was very wrong. As i made my way to Ars Nova to be in the audience for a taping of a Pasek and Paul thing my feet became soaked beyond belief and they ended up colder than they would have been if i had just worn my rain galoshes.

The taping was lots of fun, music, random comedy moments, howdy doody. Running into random people i know. Then i came home and turned the boots upside down so they could dry.

Day 162/365 (January 27, 2009)

This was the last day we cat sat fred, and he had fun sitting on my back and playing with the strings of my hoodie. Later i packed up his stuff and took him home, sadly i had decided to use my cat hat for the first time this year so i looked like a crazy cat lady carrying a cat with a cat hat!

Then i went to the broadway impact meeting and later got rentopoly signed by timothy britten parker.

Day 161/365 (January 26, 2009)

i did lots of laundry, including my bed sheets and decided to use my down comforter. i really love this blanket. Not only is it really pretty but it is so comfortable. When i was in the laundry mat with krysta and lizzie we played with this little boy who's mother wasnt really watching him all that well. we played peek-a-boo and he would throw himself on the ground and we would have to pick him up and kiss his hands better. krysta was the best at these games.
