Day 348/365 (June 30, 2015)

I spent the morning in town with Sasha and Karen. We poked into some of the shops, one of which was a jerky place to get something for Ben David. The guy who owned the place was pretty funny and even had the tree of us doubting our knowledge of kangaroos for a bit when he claimed there were some that lived further north in NH, and even got other customers to play along. We also popped into this super fun ice cream place called 18* Celsius. It was like the hetero version of the Big Gay Ice Cream Store. They had things called unicorn chasers, and scoopsicles and frapsicles. Like rainbow cake and frosting after your ice cream, and a pop in either your ice cream scoop or frappe. I ended up getting three different scoops: green tea, strawberry balsamic, and my favorite pineapple pink peppercorn. (say that three times fast!)

Then we went to get a cupcake from White Mountain Cupcakery (winner of cup cake wars) but they were sadly closed... however they said there other location which was only ten minutes away was open so away we went! we each got a cupcake and split a cupcake. The snickerdoodle cupcake was even better than before, and I bought their homemade marshmallows to try, still like mine better but good! We split a lemon cupcake. Sadly we noticed after they sold frosting shots in little glass shot glasses! so we didn't get that.

Then i went to the pool with Becky, Tessa, and Colson. I finally put my lifeproof case to the test and made some underwater videos, and so did Tessa. When we were done we dropped the kids off and then went grocery shopping. Upon our return they two were both sound asleep. So it ended up being a nice adult evening. We recreated the grilled avocado from the restaurant, Sasha made us all a nice salad and we all participated in making the other side dishes. I ended up with a super yummy burger. and we just watched TV and enjoyed the quiet night. Becky, Karen, and I a also made some more s'mores with strawberries... yum! We watched the finale of a show called I Can Do That that was pretty fun, wish we had seen it sooner!
